It's become more and more difficult to find a truly great car wash in the GR area. Many of the smaller independents had a great product, but clearly were not as good as turning a profit as Mister. Back when this place was Cascade Car Wash, it was great. The cleaning was more thorough and they provided a large cloth to clean your dash. Now, as in every other case where Mister has metastasized, the work quality and the service have taken a huge nosedive. Mister offers a plan where you get unlimited washes each month for a set monthly fee. This location only offers exterior washes. Also, it's busy. I mean REALLY busy. They have each car enter the wash almost on top of the other. If you live close by and plan to come a few times per week, it might be worth it - but once the weather is consistently above freezing, the coin-op washes give it a serious run for the money. Out of all the Mister washes, this is one of the best. Don't get excited, though - - that's like saying it's the least stinky turd in the port-a-potty...

The automatic drive thru wash is pretty good, however the self clean bays are absolutely horrible!…read moreThe cost to start is $2. The options for spray types are limited to brush, rinse, degrease, and hot wax. The hot wax is a trick as it does not actually work. The brush only sputtered clear water with no signs of soap. The other options that were apparently there before are covered with tape or blank. In addition, the timer to warn you that your time is running low only gives you circa 30 seconds. The normal time left warning from the other self wash locations have always been the standard 60 seconds. I would HIGHLY recommend the other self wash location, Hastings Laser Wash at 1530 S. M-37, Hastings, MI. If you don't, you will be disappointed.

UNQUALIFIED!!! BEWARE. Last week Thursday (8/1/2019), while I was out of town, my wife brought in…read moreher 2012 Chevy Impala for an oil change. While she was there, she also decided to have her cabin air filter replaced. $100 later we now have a car that has 12 quarts of oil in it. They NEVER drained the old oil before refilling with 6 more quarts of Mobile One. At this point we do not know the old oil had not been drained out, so, after the oil change was "Complete", my wife started the car, and immediately noticed the car idling rough. Prior to leaving, two separate times she notified two of the employees working (Jake being one of them) they dismissed her claim and told her she just needed a tune up. She then drove 10 miles home to Midddleville and called me. I was not going to be around until Monday evening, so I asked her to drop the car off at our mechanics shop in Hastings, 6.6 miles from our house in Middleville. Once the car made it to the mechanics shop, it had been driven a total of 16.6 miles with ~12 quarts of oil, it has not been moved since. Keep in mind, my wife has been coming to this location since they opened, she thought close to 20 years ago, so I didn't have any reason to not trust what she was told or have any reason to think the car would be damaged by driving it. Yesterday afternoon I called Spotless Auto at 269-945-9933 and asked for the Manager, what I got was Jake, a truly terrible employee. Over the phone I explained the car had way too much oil 4"-6" past the full on the dipstick. Jake told me this was not possible, and "there is no way a car could get filled up before it was drained out", I replied with "I don't know what to tell you, the car IS overfilled and Spotless Auto are the only people who have touched the car". I then mentioned the Google review for this company where Spotless Auto forgot to put oil back in a car, Jake didn't want to hear about Google reviews saying, "I don't care about google reviews". I then told Jake I would be there around 4:15pm so he or someone could come and see for themselves how the vehicle is in fact overfilled, then discuss what the proposal to fix this was. Around 4:45pm my wife and I arrived at spotless auto and asked for a manager. Once again, Jake was presented. Jake said he would follow us the 4.4 miles to the mechanics house. When we arrived, I popped the hood and Jake checked the dipstick. His instant defensive response was "This car did not leave my shop like this", indirectly telling me we were lying about this. I asked him who else would have added oil to an oil change that has 16.6 miles on it? He continued to repeat proper company procedure, which obviously was not followed, more than likely by him personally. I could see the conversation was going nowhere and I was going to need to talk to an owner, real manager, or such. The discussion became heated when he started pointing at my wife, literally, blaming her for "bringing in a car that had an issue before they touched it". He obviously has no common sense; I do not know a man in the world who is not going to stand up for their wife when wrongly accused. I looked at him and said "we are done here, shut your mouth, get in your truck, and get the hell out of here...It's a good thing you didn't ride here with me, I would have left you here to walk back". We then returned to Spotless Auto to get in contact with an individual who can use reason. I arrived and got the customer service "hotline" which is an answering machine. I left a message for "Hemmi". My message included many details of the events mentioned above, I requested a call back ASAP. Being that my wife has been without a car now for nearly a week, and the seriousness of the situation, I expected a call back this morning. Again, Spotless has let me down. At the end of the day, I do not believe this was done intentionally, it was a mistake. The problem is, this business does not own its mistakes, it turns blame on the customer. This place employs people who couldn't even spell accountability, let alone customer service. Their 100% satisfaction guarantee seems to be a bunch of smoke and mirrors. There is a reply in another review from the owner mentioning 13 cameras, I wonder if these recordings will be "lost" or if they will even look at the video.

**Update 1 Aug 2024**…read more I went back thru the carwash yesterday and both of my issues had been remedied/corrected. The air dryer ran for the full cycle and I checked 3 of the 4 card swipers (4th bay was out of order) and my card did not get snagged whatsoever. Owner has been very quick to respond to messages and also taking action on repairs. I like that the touchless carwash has 4 selections and does a good job of reaching all areas of even my larger pickup. I have been using this facility since it opened a couple years ago. I was excited considering I would drive all the way to Marshall to use their touchless but now have a facility about 5 minutes away. Over the past 2 years the dryer function has deteriorated with a majority of the time it only running for about 15 seconds before shutting off, even though we pay for 60 seconds. 2nd issue is the card swipers in the bay's. Not only do 2 of them not read cards, but 1 of them actually "chews" up the edges of your card, peeling back the lamination and scuffs/scratches the magnetic strip on the back of the card. The convenience of the ability to use credit/debit cards in the bays would be great if they could actually be used. The reliability concerns with the touchless drive-thru dryer are all enough to send me back to my original wash in Marshall. It's worth the longer drive (15-20ish minutes 1 way) for the peace of mind knowing their equipment has never let me down. ** Update ** I did post on 2 platforms. I found the facebook site after this one and had the opportunity to message directly with the owner. I feel that they listened to my concerns and took them seriously. I will revise both this rating and the Facebook once the requested repairs to their facility have been made.
