Single player here and not looking to join a league, but let me share my experience with this store. Jim and Mike were working. I had already had a price in my head with what I wanted to spend. They offer a package deal for around $170, but because I wanted a little better ball, I was able to upgrade for a little more. My finger measurements were accurate, I was in and out in less than an hour. But I really enjoyed talking to these two gentlemen. They aren't trying to upsell you with stuff you don't need. They have a passion for bowling and it shows. If you think you can get a better deal on Amazon, you are wrong. You won't get the service that you would at the store. You would still have to bring your ball in for them to drill, so whatever you think you saved, you would actually he in the negative with all costs combined. This store has everything a bowler needs! Not to mention the experience and dedication that Jim and Mike showed me. There is a reason customers make long drives to come here. They offer great hours and are usually closed only on Sundays, but check for holidays as they might close also. The only small downside is the parking lot is tight and not a lot of spots, but with the service, who cares? Another small thing, they didn't send me home with a shoe box, a bowling bowl box and the bowling bag wasn't in plastic. I am in the 40+ crowd and I value good alignment and the right fit for my family. I appreciate they carry a wide variety of widths as my family all wear wides. This brings me to our last experience. My partner doesn't always love trying on shoes but I find it's the best way to get proper fitting shoes for him. We tried on a few as the new version of his current pair no longer fit so well. 2 team members went to the back at the same time. I could hear one of them very clearly say jeez thanks for taking them they're a handful laughing. I mean if you're going to talk about clients at least do it quietly. Just because I can't see you doesn't mean I can't hear you. The person getting the different shoes wasn't even asking any follow up questions about how does this feel or any follow up to help facilitate finding the right fit. When asked they said that the tag was incorrect. The employee easily changed the price with nothing unusual shown on the receipt. Employees may be trying to mark up prices, who knows. The staff was all SO helpful! They went above and beyond to help my shy daughter with her cleats. First they suggested that for her foot pain, we may not need to spend money on new cleats after all- they thought she would find relief from a somewhat inexpensive pair of heel cups. It was so nice of them to be so honest when I was ready with my wallet open! . I decided to buy the heel cups and new cleats because her cleats are a little old. She had trouble finding some that fit and they must have brought her 20 pairs to try on, to make sure she found some that fit comfortably and perfectly. They were so kind and so patient!
