My teen is a figure skater. The soles of her feet have been bothering her lately and coach suggested some inserts. My husband got sold hard half insoles for athletes without any cushion because she didn't have toe room for the cushion part. This incomplete product cost a whopping $500 for the non refundable pair. They tried to sell him 3 pair. A good pair of fitted insoles with arch support can be found for $100 or less at any decent running store with foot scanning technology. Not to mention many less expensive online options that can be tried and returned as needed. These Good Feet stores should close shop for disreputable sales tactics and 0 refund policy. I'm still fuming. One of the store managers Dimitri called and said he'd work with us on some insert options or a refund. We have an appt set for Sat. Increasing the rating by 1 star for the support call today. Will see how it goes. We went back to the Good Feet store after trying out the insoles for a couple weeks in her Skates. They stilll weren't comfortable for her and they allowed us to return the purchase which was very much appreciated. Thank you for understanding! read more

My husband & I purchased inserts from The good feet store A very expensive purchase that didn't work for either of us. Fortunately we were able to get a partial refund ( less a restocking fee). I will comment the manager was very courteous in handling our returns. This is my second review for the Good Feet Store. Would like to thank Dominque Prior for her excellent customer service and help when I came to the store again, this time to purchase shoes for my mom. My mom went with me the first time I went for my fitting for supports. We both love the stores layout, cleanliness, and professionalism of the staff that my mom wanted to go get her shoes there instead of other stores. When I went for my 30 day follow up, I received the same leave of care and great results of my progress. Dominque remembered me and my mom from the prior visit and spoke when we walked in. It's nice to know that excellent customer service still existed and you can find joy in shopping in a store without feeling rushed or overwhelmed by crowds. read more

First time visiting the store after finding out I have plantar fasciitis. Dominique P. Was fantastic! I learned so much about my feet and how each support is important for my body. The ads on WTOP radio got me to try this store. I didn't know anything about their products or system. I explained right away that I was looking for a pair of supports to fit into my clogs, that I use for house-shoes. I said that I like my prescription orthotics that I use in my shoes and intended to keep them. The salesman was very nice and took me through a long introduction, took imprints of my feet, and then went away to do some calculations. About 20 minutes later, he came back and had me try a few supports. They were uncomfortable and hurt my arch. Then I realized that (1) this is a SYSTEM that has 3 levels of support, and (2) he was intent on replacing my orthotics, not finding something that I could wear in just my clogs. If he had explained these points to begin with, I would not have wasted my time and his for the HOUR that I was there. The cost--$1,200 minimum--might have been fine if I'd wanted to wear these supports all the time. But I didn't. And if I'd known the cost at the beginning l also would not have wasted the time. I could not actually tell how "custom" the supports were. All in all, it was a disappointing experience that could have been much better if the salesman had been less intent on SELLING and more interested in giving me what I needed--or telling me that he could not do that. read more

I would like to put zero stars if I could. Please do NOT get suckered into peer pressure tactics. The commercial is a joke. The inserts HURT and the cost is extreme. You will get a free bottled water and they will not show you the cost until you are suckered in. At the end you will realize it's very expensive $1500 at the least amount. RUN don't walk. Dom did an incredible job. My feet had never felt so good. I stand so straight now. Trust me if you have any foot pain. This is the place you want to come. This is the type of support you need. I've gone through so many pairs of shoes thinking it was just the shoe. I was wrong. Incredible , my lower back and shoulders feel completely different from walking. Quality is an investment! Found the sales reps well informed and anxious to share. Like many people I have serious issues finding shoes that fit and require orthotics to assist in the most optimal fit. Good shoe stores are hard to find; knowledgeable clerks even harder. This stores is a valued addition to Fairfax. While I did not purchase orthotics here I am very impressed with the ability to customize based on an impression of your foot with an orthotic that will hold up under hard wear. Brooks shoes are one of the few brands my podiatrist recommends. Appreciate having a variety of styles to choose from. read more

1,500 dollars for an injection molded piece of plastic, one size-fits-all? gimme a break! Their entire operation and fancy stores and fancy salespeople are supported by selling what should not cost more than 20 bucks. The salesperson was not paying attention to what i needed and was too busy trying to convince me their product will "make me feel better." Update: i found shoe insoles from Amazon for about 25 buck, that serve the same function for 1/60 of the price. read more

I have updated my previous rating. After my review on 11/9/2022, I received a call from the manager at the Good Feet Store in Fairfax on 11/12. He said that I could return the shoes if I could not find a shoe that fit my needs, and that the "exchange or store credit" statement on the receipt was mainly for the inserts. I returned the shoes for a full refund. I must admit, I was pleasantly surprised at this unexpected turn. While I cannot vouch for the quality of the inserts, the follow up customer service was excellent. read more

My boyfriend and I went to The good feet store. After 20 minutes of her "presentation " we both realized it was a scam. You have to buy a package. Lowest price $1,300 and upwards of 4 grand. We only wanted one pair of inserts. Unfortunately they only sell packages. He is going to to seek other options. BTW if you go on the BBB website there are hundreds of complaints. Will never recommend these somewhat sleazy practices. read more

Visited the Fairfax store on February 21, 2023. I immediately noticed that no prices were posted, and there were signs advertising "financing available." I met with a salesman named David and made clear to him that I had sprained my foot two weeks prior and just needed something for my right foot to get me through a tennis match the next day. He did some measurements of my foot and then launched in a pre-planned sales pitch about how I should buy their "system" of foot inserts that progresses over several months. I reminded him that I just needed some foot support to get me through a tennis match, and he brought me some thin plastic inserts for my shoes. I tried them and told him they seemed to help my foot a bit. I asked him how much just to buy the two inserts (not their whole "system" of inserts). He said it was $400. I told him I was not going to pay $400 for a couple of pieces of plastic. He then tried to sell me some socks, which he suggested would help my feet. I asked him how much (again no price listed), and he said "probably about $29 or so." (By the way, while he was in the back looking for the inserts, he had me fill out on a tablet all my information about where I lived -- specific address -- what my occupation was, etc. I strongly suspect that the store used this information to decide how much to charge me for this stuff. I left the store without buying anything and got some shoe inserts at the grocery store for $8.99. They work about as well as the little pieces of plastic that The Good Feet Store tried to sell me. Don't waste your money on this place. read more

The sales representative was very friendly and told me I was now "one of the family." She also said that she would provide an unlimited amout of velcro stickers. Once I got home and realized that she only provided me one set, I have called a few times and my new "family" doesn't return calls. You can't get a person either when you call. The inserts are quite expensive (cost not mentioned until the end), so you have the option to sign up for an interest free loan, which I did. Then I asked to see the inserts in flip flops (had asked earlier on and believe she really didn't want to show me this). They are very obvious so I opted for just the maintenance pair, which was much less. Unfortunately, the loan went through, which I didn't need, so now my credit score is affected. Haven't noticed a change in the few weeks I have had them, but if they work for others, then they are worth it. Just get what you need before you leave the store! read more

I saved over $1,000 today by going next door and purchasing a pair of shoes. The salesman at the Good Feet wasted over 1/2 an hour of my time taking an imprint of my feet and showing me their orthotic inserts. He had me try the inserts in a Brooks shoe. The inserts did feel better, but they were worth, maybe $50 (that's about the going price for orthotic inserts like SUPERFEET), nowhere near the $1,300 the salesman quoted for 6 pieces of plastic and that's without the Brooks shoes. I found out from an REA clerk that Potomac running sells wide orthotic inserts. I went there (next door to Happy Feet) and bought a pair of wide orthotic inserts. I asked if they sold Brooks Walking shoes. The clerk brought out a pair that, even without the orthotic inserts, felt much better than the shoes I was wearing. I bought the shoes for $130, which turned out to be a much better purchase than the $1,300 gizmo Happy Feet tried to stick me with. Save your time and money, avoid this store. read more

Buyer beware!!! The support system is $1200.00 and NON-REFUNDABLE!! Representatives DO NOT warn you of this. Additionally, there is NO signage indicating the NO REFUND policy. Supports have NOT helped my foot pain at all. This is a very expensive scam and consumer lesson. After posting this review I received a call from the Fairfax Good Feet manager. An extremely pleasant young man who genuinely seemed concerned about my experience. He met me at the store and changed the inserts to one more comfortable. I still have the foot pain but am offering them the opportunity to resolve. My husband and I both HAD foot problems for many years. Doctors can only try to alleviate the symptoms. The Good Feet store analyzes your foot problem and then gives you the kind of insoles you need for your particular condition. My feet were completely healed of the structural defects in a few moths of wearing the insoles. My husband's feet took a few months longer than mine. SO MUCH BETTER THAN ANY PODIATRIST! read more

I have absolutely no arch. My husband called them to ask about the cost. He was told that they would be under $300.00 so he made me an appointment and took me out tobe fitted. Once we got there, the gentleman not only tried to sale me inserts but also my husband. After he took a ink blot of my feet he went into the back to get the "custom inserts. This is when we saw it was saw it was a THREE step process. I walked around the store in all of the inserts and could definitely feel the difference. Needless to say the guy then told us when we asked that yes, it is A THREE step process and proceed to tell us the price. SIXTEEN HUNDRED DOLLARS! Needless to say I say NO THANK YOU. Within a week I got inserts from Birkenstocks and they are just as comfortable as the good feet stores and I paid $60.00 dollars. read more

I would strongly recommend people avoid this product. Wearing the inserts for two days resulted in extremely sore feet and my shoes all rubbed my foot wrong way when I had the inserts in them. I have already been a user / customer of the company's product system, but I was having pain again and needed help now that we have moved to this area. Peter was an excellent educator. So courteous, knowledgeable and funny. I enjoyed my time and learned about how things have changed over the last 10 years. He clearly is the lifeblood of this location. I strongly recommend leveraging Peter and his other associates' knowledge to help get your feet and back in a better and pain-free place. This location is a learning center and not a sales floor. Really disappointed in the fact that the inserts didn't work. We did get a full refund but that was because we contacted them right away (by the 30 day point) to say even our podiatrist, physical therapist, and orthotics specialist who makes true custom inserts told us these would likely not show better results--we had an open mind, but for $1300, they should work! Just check out the BBB reviews for Good Feet Stores nationwide, you'll see the four dozen or more reviews there where people complained about the same experience I had. They all say the same thing, that nobody at their offices wants to hear if things do not work out, they want you to take more time, come in for more of these inserts that are truly not a total custom job (they put together different combinations of pre-made plastic insert orthotics). They also make the claim they are NOT a doctor's office or medical specialist, which should mean no hassles for people who say "hey, my feet are not better"---when they say "all feet are not the same" this goes for a product that clearly does not work for everyone all the time. Too expensive to keep if they don't work. We were promised a customized follow-up to find the right fit, too, and that only came after we had reached out for a refund in week 4 and asked why no promised call came after week 1 of owning the inserts and using them just as the schedule dictated. Their head national office was responsive and polite when we contacted them due to rudeness of the local franchise owner--a refund should not include insults, ever. read more
