I put my number in but apparently, she was ringing up my order as a brand new purchase. When I told her that I was returning an item, she responded that I never informed her that I had a returned. I responded by informing her that she never said hello to me and never asked what I needed. She argued back that she asked me how I was doing and that it was my fault that she rung up the purchase. I educated her on customer service and informed of better ways to act as a cashier. She processed my return finally. Because of this interaction, I wouldn't come back to location. If Kristen isn't able to remain professional and welcoming while working at the cash register, she should find a different position that doesn't require employee-to-customer interactions.

After a few weeks of searching I found this pair on Falls Road, and I check reviews (seemed legit). Pushed to order button and crossed my fingers. This is Baltimore and I live in California. They shipped out within the first work-day of the week (maybe the Tuesday after Christmas). It took a little longer than a week with New Years, but arrived still quickly with holidays. They are perfect! They fit and feel perfect out of the box, and I'm so happy with my purchase! I'm also happy to support a small business! In the past (many) visits, I have received courteous, prompt fairly priced service from the crew. Today was an exception. When I picked up my Novara Hickory rear wheel I was told it would be $64. My service request was to adjust the axle bearings that had slight play. When I was told this price, I asked that the REI work code be reviewed since what I asked for was clearly not what got coded. In looking at the receipt I see code "900000355 Hub brrg repl-rr". The technician would not make any review so I asked to speak to a manager. I repeated my request for review of the code. Surely there is a code for simple bearing adjustment as opposed to replacement. She refused to look at the codes - might not have been a department where she has expertise. She held the book, but didn't look at any codes and pointed out that when I signed the monitor, I was accepting the "estimate" for work. Since I have had a consistent run of satisfactory work/pricing at REI, I did not review the pricing before signing the screen. She repeated, asking me several time "did you sign?" - putting aside my request for review of the code - and any possible correction. Of course she reminded me that if I didn't pay, REI would keep my wheel. I really needed to hear that. My reasonable request was set aside. I paid and promised her to take my future business elsewhere. That is where things stand. I was not treated with either courtesy, or a businesslike response to my request to review the code - tough luck for you Mr. Customer. I'll guess any reasonable retail service manager would know better than to ask a customer the same question several times - as though, you signed - you own any problem. I took this as a mockery. To the extent this treatment is REI policy, then yours is not a business I can support.

She did a walk test with my daughter, to look at her stride and feet placement and determine the best shoe recommendation. She also brought out the old school sizing tool (idk what to call it)...it's silver and you put your foot on it for proper sizing. Baby girl is a 10. Meanwhile, mama is a 6.5. Don't judge, please. Anyway, my daughter ended up with a Brooks sneaker...sole is thick as hell, but she said she felt like she was walking on water. The customer service was great. I purchased from Soma different items and paid with PayPal. Before the final click completing the purchase Soma tells you clearly returns for items purchased online with PayPal must be returned by mail. Perfect I understand before I complete the transaction my return options. Now onto Loft. I purchased three items online. All beach coverups. I then went to return all three. I attempt to use the online system however Loft has designed the online return procedures to make it as difficult as possible. But I note it will cost me $ 7.95 to return by mail and free to go to the store. Once in the store I deliver my unworn items with tags in the original packages. I am told swimwear cannot be returned in the store. I am forced then to pay the return fee and once again try to navigate a deceptive system designed to frustrate a consumer and thus the Return is never complete. That's my first issue. When you are shopping on line it is not made even remotely clear the return policy. Frankly you have to go to three areas of the website to see what the return policy is on swimwear. On the receipt finding the policy at the bottom in the smallest font possible again hides the policy. I find this appalling. Surely all retailers have their own policy. However consumers should be able to understand the policy in a clear openly designed system. I will pay the return costs. I will never shop at Loft, Ann Taylor or any of their companies again.
