My sister was in Eastern star and her colors were coral and Teal. I spoke with Linda as originally I had wanted a grapevine wreath. No one has them so I decided on a spray of coral or peach. When I arrived it really stood out. I had them add a butterfly which went in the casket before they closed the lid. My uncle at the very agile age of 91 was in the hospital when she was. Went home on Hospice. I wanted something small but patriotic. I remember the anchor tattoo he had from the navy. I was aware he was to be cremated. I called them back and again got Linda. We talked back and forth with ideas. It needed to be small as it was in the church. Also he was in and urn to go in the wall. So I wanted a planter. With a few flowers of red white and blue. I called in advance to see if they could find a small flower and anchor. I saw it yesterday and it was perfect. It sat beside the urn. The flag fresh red white and blue flowers in the planter. The bow one side red white and blue and the other side of the basket joining it was a ribbon of anchors. Many thanks. A very decent price for both. I definitely recommend them. I stopped in yesterday for a dozen roses to celebrate that august moment of committed happiness, and walked out with gorgeous large soft pinks in a clear wrap cone that left a wonderful aroma of rose in my car. In the interim, I was allowed to wander through their shop, including workroom and refrigerated display walk-in, to witness their creativity and large work orders being prepared for major events. I was able to chat with the owners, all part of one extended family, and play a little "Who Do You Know" with them. Turned out, quite a few folks. Not only was I very happy with the overall consumer experience at Newtown Floral, but the object of my affection was delighted with the surprise gift and paid me dividends on my small investment. I gave them them her cell number when I placed the order so they could call her. She would have told them she was on a short errand and they could leave the flowers on her doorstep. But they didn't call; they took the flowers back to the shop. So she didn't get the flowers on her birthday. We told them about this when we picked the flowers up today. They didn't apologize, they just said "sometimes our drivers call and sometimes they don't". Mistakes happen, but I don't remember the last time I've seen a store that openly admits they're indifferent to delivering on time. Needles to say, I'll buy flowers somewhere else next time.
