They towed my van to an auto shop. The driver was so rushed. It only took 5 hrs for him to get to me. When he was putting in the garage for the auto shop he wasn't paying attention and scratched the side of my van on a metal table. The auto shop took pictures and told the driver to contact me. They even called the office and they told the auto shop that they would contact me about it. They never did! I never once received a call about the damage the driver did to my van. They tried to cover up what they did. I wouldn't trust this company. They are rude and deceitful. read more

Absolutely terrible service from the moment the driver arrived. From the time he pulled up to my house to the time I walked outside, it was 6 min. When I went outside, this man tried to snatch my truck with the truck still in drive, trying to destroy my truck. I had to yell for him to stop and tell him the truck was not in neutral. Then as we are driving my truck to the shop to have the repair work done and drope it off he pulls over and tells me that he is going g to another call to change a tire with my truck on his truck that I can fallow him and wait while he changes a tire. That's the most un professional business dealing that I have ever had.You need to fire that driver and hire more professional drivers.oh wait there is more I just got a call from my mechanic were the driver was supposed to drop my truck off and the tow truck driver dropped my truck off on the road not in the mechanics yard were he was supposed to drop it.I was also informed that that driver was a supervisor witch doesn't help your case at all terrible service. From out of state and got in an accident. Chanceys towed it from accident sight. I repeatedly told cops and the driver I had someone coming to get my car. I was never told I couldn't get the car because it's Sunday until i call the office to get my car. Then I'm told it'll be an extra gate fee on top of the towing charge, that I have to pay instead of my insurance paying. When we get to the lot to get the car, we're then told we have to wait until they have another drop off to get in the gate. Terrible service. Terrible relaying of Information. read more

Where do I even start, they say they are independent contractor but if you try to use this instead of AAA, you will not get your full reimbursement and you will lose money. They charge you upfront from 130 $250, the guy doesn't care at all, he'll tell you that he'll just pull in the car if you don't pay fast enough. I'm very displaced with Chancey's. AAA is using them because they won't replace a battery that is dead. Chancey's blames my car, my car was recently serviced. They robbed me of a battery because it saves AAA moneys. Funny thing is that they were willing to tow my car. Chancey's are scammers. I was goin to Fire-House subs Tuesday at 6:45 pm. My left front tire blew and I was stuck in the Mullens shopping center, and trying to figure out how to change a tire on my 2019 Wrangler. A Chancy truck showed up and I hollered for help. The driver was going into the Pet store to buy stuff for his son. Awesome, Awesome, Awesome. Great experience with these guys, specifically Mellisa, Tony, and Wayne. Here's the situation.........We had a left front tire blow out on our 33ft RV, outside of Augusta just 5 miles inside the SC state line. We called AAA around midnight shortly after we got our RV stopped and pulled over to the side of the road. After doing our best to try to explain to them where we were and that we would need a tow and not just some to change a tire, they sent someone from Wanyes towing (Aiken,SC) to change the tire / evaluate the situation. After he agreed that we would need a tow, he contacted their "heavy load" guy to come get his. He told us that he was just finishing up a job but should be done soon and would call. After a couple of hours without a call, we called AAA to see what the status was. Evidently the "heavy Load" guy decided he was done for the night, as AAA said they wouldn't be able to get a truck out until 8AM. This left us stranded on the side of the road with semi's flying by just ft from the RV, leaving it swaying side to side everytime they passed. After another couple of hours, a highway patrol officer showed up, and after we explained our situation, he told us that because we were technically in SC AAA tried to get us a service in that county. He recommended we call Chancey's out of Augusta. We immediately called and the picked up in the early morning, and said they had the equipment needed to help us, but they needed the call from AAA. So we called AAA again to have them, specifically get Chancey's out to us. After they tried to convince us a couple of more times to use Waynes, who had obviously just left us on the side of the road after knowing we needed help, they gave Chancey's the call. (we confirmed). They sent 2 trucks out. Tony and Wayne, not only hooked up the RV, but also called around to local shops to see if anyone would be open on Sunday to get a new set of tires for the RV. Unfortunately everything was closed. They then started making calls to RV and mobile home parks to see if there was a place to take the RV for the night, since we wouldn't be able to fix it until Monday. They found a place for us and towed it there. Full hookups for only $25. The next day they were out there bright and early to pick us up and find a local tire shop to replace our tires. They went above and beyond to get us on our way, and were there when we needed them. Strongly recommend these guys. read more

Must be the only tow service in Augusta. Used them for a jump start 3 times in the last 10 months (myself and machines don't get along) minimum 90 minute wait. For a jump start. Every time. Maybe it's because I use AAA. Maybe they're sick of me calling. Maybe because there's no competition. Either way, pretty much stuck with it. Unless someone wants to start a rival company. Please don't use this service. I had a blow out on a brand new tire and the dealer called these people. I sat on the interstate for four hours watching the wrecker drive over the bridge, on the side street, and all around me, claiming he couldn't find me. At the four hour mark, the driver said, "call dispatch to send another driver." I called the dealer back and they sent Jr.'s out of Thomson, who arrived in 20 minutes. A woman with a gun on her hip, jumped out of car yelling at us, put her hand on her gun, I'm black, my white counterpart said something to her, then she apologized saying she didn't know we were trying to fix the truck, she didn't even ask. I have been harassed by them since then. This company is horrible, I am taking legal action, but this should've never happened. I am forced to give them 1 start to be able to post. BUTI am given this company ZERO starts. I live in Evan, GA and I have AAA. I contacted them to have my car towed from my house to my mechanic location about 15 minutes away. After booking the appointment thru AAA around 7pm, I got a notification text saying Chancey's would be there about 8:20pm. Then I got another text saying the time had changed they should be there about 8pm. I got a phone call from Chancey's about 7:30, letting me know about my appointment, and they were running a little behind but should be there in about 45 minutes to an hour. Between 7:30pm and 10:00pm I got text updates my pick up time had changed. There was no reason why it changed, nor a phone call from Chancy's to apologize for the delay. I finally reconnected AAA around 9:45 and was told the drive was like 3 miles away and should be there any minute. The driver didn't arrive until about 10:10pm. I went to meet the drive outside who came off as very rude. Didn't apologize for being late and didn't really seemed concerned about helping me or wanting to tow the car. He asked if I wanted to jump the car. And I told him no...that I had already spoken to your staff before and told them the car needed to be towed and not jump. To me he wanted to jump it and just leave it there so he wouldn't have to tow it. Then he rudely tells me, you have to sign a damage waiver in case your car is damaged. Why would it be damaged loading it on your tow truck? After that he wanted to know if I had the tow hook out so he could hook the car up. I told him I wasn't sure where it was at, as not knowing how their process would be to tow the car. He opened my truck, without my permission and just starting going thru it, throwing stuff to the side and even on top on the back window and top of the car. I stopped him and told him, there is no need to be RUDE and try to be PROFESSIONAL about it. Don't touch anything else in the truck, I will move it. He looked like he just wanted to rip thru stuff and tear things apart to find what he needed. After we found the tow hook, he informed me it looked like there was some paint or something on it. And because of that he may not be able to hook it up. I told him I would be right back, don't touch anything. I come back out and he has the eye slit off the front of the car by using a pocket knife and trying to force the tow hook in there. If you just told me I may not go, if I just told you not to touch anything why are you doing anything? He says then, we can't tow the car because I can't get the hook on. Then tells me I probably need to call another towing company since they aren't equipped to tow the car without a tow hook in there. And it made me wonder if I was on the side of the road and no tow hook, would they just leave me there? He didn't suggesting helping or (after having me wait so long) contacting another tow company to come out and assist. He was more just done with the whole thing and ready to go. So I asked him again...you are telling me that there is nothing you can do to get the car towed? He told me no. And then just left. This was very poor customer service and no type of compassion about assisting me, going above and beyond and just any type of human emotions. As this time, 12:45pm the next day, no follow up phone call from Chancey's about the service, if I was satisfied, etc. I won't not recommend anyone to use them if this is what you get. read more

No one is going to just meet you there to open it, and then be prepared to wait about an hour to show up. Once they get there, your car may have been moved to another lot! I hate to do this, but I am SO disappointed with this place and definitely would NOT recommend. I was really trying to have faith after seeing all the great things people have said about them and I had the most awful experience with them. NOTE: Let me preface this by saying the DRIVER is cool and this has nothing to do with him. SO - with that being said.... My boyfriend made an appointment with them to have them pick up a car for us and tow it to our house and they didn't even show up for the appointment. No phone call to say they wouldn't be there or anything. So then, after having to reschedule our day (because we were both working), my boyfriend makes another appointment with them later in the day and they are super super late to that as well and when he calls to ask what is going on they tell him that "appointments aren't guaranteed" and there was an accident they needed to go to. Okay - I get it...It would have been one thing if they had just given us a courtesy call and maybe tried to give us another appointment time so my boyfriend was not just sitting there waiting on them, but they were REALLY unprofessional. I am so appalled by how terrible the business practices are in this company and will never ever use them again or recommend them to anyone. I literally have no idea how they have 4.8 stars online. And, don't get me wrong, being born and raised in Augusta I try to support local and I really do dislike leaving bad reviews but this was the worst experience I have ever had with a company and I am really mad about it. read more

Roadside assistance referred this company to come handle a flat tire situation. They quoted 60-80 mins at 1:30 PM. 4 hours later they have not shown up and they won't answer the phone. Very unprofessional and rude. Do NOT recommend this company at ALL! I tried calling them back to let them know after 5 hours of sitting there I called another company that arrived less than 15 mins later and they still wouldn't answer the phone. I wanted to give a shout out to Tony one of your Chancey tow guys. Today as me and my family were headed to a doctors appointment in Augusta our car broke down due to the alternator. We were 1 mile from the exit we were suppose to get off of. We called our insurance service for a tow and Tony showed up. He got us to the right people to fix our car. I'm very thankful ...thank you Tony and also for sharing with us about how you became a christian. I loved it, because when you are in situation like this you never know who you will come across.
