Awesome spot if you are looking to get away from the ridiculous crowds at LA Fitness and Charter…read moreFitness. It's very low key and they only make you commit for 4 month or 1 year memberships. I went during a prime hour 4-5 and it wasn't that busy. They had state of the art equipment and very friendly staff. Tons of available indoor tennis courts, a pool and a very nice locker room. It was a little more expensive than Charter but well worth it. Not living in Lockport it is around $26/ month. Pretty impressed so far.

Unfortunately, it was clear from the beginning that the program lacked organization and professionalism. We arrived 15-20 minutes early, as instructed, and checked in at the pool office. There were several employees sitting behind the desk, but no one acknowledged us for quite some time. When someone finally looked up, the initial response was, "She's not my timeslot," rather than offering to help. After another employee checked the schedule, she confirmed we were in the correct place but appeared visibly annoyed and simply told us she would be out in 20 minutes. It was not a welcoming first impression. While we waited, I observed the instructors working with other students. A few appeared engaged and confident, but several seemed uncertain and disengaged, which made me uneasy before the lesson even began. When our lesson started, the instructor gave little introduction to either me or my daughter. I expected a brief conversation about my daughter's current swimming ability, comfort level, goals, or any areas that needed improvement before getting into the water. Instead, she waited until the very start of our scheduled lesson to enter the pool. Throughout the lesson, she frequently looked at the clock and at the other instructors, seemingly unsure of what skill to teach next. Rather than following a structured lesson plan, it felt as though she was improvising as she went. The biggest disappointment was that this was supposed to be a one-on-one lesson, where individualized instruction is the primary value. Instead, the lesson lacked preparation, direction, and engagement. The instructor also came across as disinterested, which did not create a positive learning environment for a young child. I hope that management takes time to train employees properly.

We've been to the pool over a half dozen times since just moving in the end of last month. The…read morepools seem to be well maintained, as when we saw that they needed skimming, the guards got right to it! The stair rail needs some reinforcement and there is a leak in the women's bathroom that seems to have someone checking into. As for the Lifeguards, they do a good job which was evident on Friday night when their job was put to the test and a child's life was saved shortly after we left for the evening. For those who say, Guards are a waste of money, I for one as a parent, grandparent and former swim team member appreciate their service. We can't always have our eyes everywhere when it comes to our kids, of any age! There are still adults out there that don't know how to swim and some of then have children. It only takes a tablespoon of water to drown, a wrong move in a game of catch or whatever to lose your balance and be the victim. Lifeguards are money well spent!

First kudos to whomever within the Woodridge town council who got this gem built. I'm so jealous, as my town's private elitist 1950s community pool (8 miles away) is insanely expensive and comes nothing close to Cypress Cove. What a great amenity for the community of Woodridge. Secondly, hats of to the staff and lifeguards working. I was extremely impressed with the professionalism and eagle eyes of the entire lifeguards crew. We went on a Sunday and arrived 10 minutes before opening. I felt the daily entrance fee was a very fair price for our five hour visit. I also was impressed with the snack shop prices and appreciated that they didn't match movie theater or baseball stadium pricing at all. How lovely that they have kept prices low and not inflated. My biggest concern was cleanliness, and I was super impressed with how well maintained the park is, and the crystal clear pool water was absent any disturbing "odors" that occur at some water parks. I also appreciated that food was only allowed near the snack shops and not allowed into the pool deck areas. The drippings of ice cream cones, wasps and bees chasing sugary drinks, and hot dog mustard stains were absent. The landscaping, amenities layout, and thoughtfulness of the entire park was wonderful. I'll definitely visit again!

I'm not a Karen, but today I was forced to be. Today, me and my church group went to get some food…read moreduring the adult swim. A good time to have a snack break. I ordered 3 things. A pizza, a smoothie, and a frozen strawberry lemonade. Classic mistake. I just get my pizza, and I go, "Huh, maybe it's just busy." I couldn't be more wrong. I stand there, for 20 more minutes. At this point, I'm a little confused. I start seeing the people behind me get their food and walk away. BEFORE I GOT MY SMOOTHIE AND LEMONADE. My church friends at this point had gotten their food already and finished eating, and i'm still waiting. I decided to ask the lady about it. She nods, and I assume she is grabbing my drinks. She brings back a pretzel. I ask one more time, just to be sure she heard me. She has the AUDACITY to come back and ask me what I ordered. AND ROLLS HER EYES WHEN I TOLD HER I GOT A STRAWBERRY SMOOTHIE AND A STRAWBERRY LEMONADE. Eventually, 10 minutes later, she gives me my strawberry smoothie. But the strawberry lemonade is nowhere to be seen. Ten more minutes later, she comes back with a NORMAL lemonade. I ask anyone if they ordered this, they all say no. So I assume the lady messed up my order and gave me a normal lemonade. At this point, I'm tired and want to get back to my church friends. So, I take the lemonade and walk away, enraged with my experience.
