I think it's a bit overpriced $8R/$16NR. 2 and under are not free, 1 is free. The kids area was great, the lazy river was awesome but the water was COLD. The kids were literally shivering in and out of the water. One lifeguard was really nice, well most of them were. My kids had an allergic reaction the next day so we won't be back unfortunately. ****UPDATE after leaving urgent care my kids got hand, foot and mouth yuck.

Dear Romeoville Aquatic Center, I am deeply disappointed in…read moreyour saftey control issues, and the lack of fun that is maintained at this water facility. First of all why do you need a worker to press a button to get you into the bathroom at the main entrance? What do you expect me to do? Pee on the floor? In addition, your water has way too much chlorine in it. This is a major saftey concern, as too much chlorine can make you sick. Some other people and I started coughing uncontrollably because of it. And don't even get me started with the lack of fun that is maintained there. There is only one water slide, that frankly sucks, and There is nothing to do, except for a basketball hoop from Temu. Please make some changes Because this place is horrible. In conclusion, this place is horrible it sucks I will never go there again. I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT Final rating: 0/10 never going there again

Unfortunately, it was clear from the beginning that the program lacked organization and professionalism. We arrived 15-20 minutes early, as instructed, and checked in at the pool office. There were several employees sitting behind the desk, but no one acknowledged us for quite some time. When someone finally looked up, the initial response was, "She's not my timeslot," rather than offering to help. After another employee checked the schedule, she confirmed we were in the correct place but appeared visibly annoyed and simply told us she would be out in 20 minutes. It was not a welcoming first impression. While we waited, I observed the instructors working with other students. A few appeared engaged and confident, but several seemed uncertain and disengaged, which made me uneasy before the lesson even began. When our lesson started, the instructor gave little introduction to either me or my daughter. I expected a brief conversation about my daughter's current swimming ability, comfort level, goals, or any areas that needed improvement before getting into the water. Instead, she waited until the very start of our scheduled lesson to enter the pool. Throughout the lesson, she frequently looked at the clock and at the other instructors, seemingly unsure of what skill to teach next. Rather than following a structured lesson plan, it felt as though she was improvising as she went. The biggest disappointment was that this was supposed to be a one-on-one lesson, where individualized instruction is the primary value. Instead, the lesson lacked preparation, direction, and engagement. The instructor also came across as disinterested, which did not create a positive learning environment for a young child. I hope that management takes time to train employees properly.

Awesome spot if you are looking to get away from the ridiculous crowds at LA Fitness and Charter…read moreFitness. It's very low key and they only make you commit for 4 month or 1 year memberships. I went during a prime hour 4-5 and it wasn't that busy. They had state of the art equipment and very friendly staff. Tons of available indoor tennis courts, a pool and a very nice locker room. It was a little more expensive than Charter but well worth it. Not living in Lockport it is around $26/ month. Pretty impressed so far.

The…read morepools seem to be well maintained, as when we saw that they needed skimming, the guards got right to it! The stair rail needs some reinforcement and there is a leak in the women's bathroom that seems to have someone checking into. As for the Lifeguards, they do a good job which was evident on Friday night when their job was put to the test and a child's life was saved shortly after we left for the evening. For those who say, Guards are a waste of money, I for one as a parent, grandparent and former swim team member appreciate their service. We can't always have our eyes everywhere when it comes to our kids, of any age! There are still adults out there that don't know how to swim and some of then have children. It only takes a tablespoon of water to drown, a wrong move in a game of catch or whatever to lose your balance and be the victim. Lifeguards are money well spent!

The slides were fun and well-monitored. Lines weren't excessively long. They enjoyed the diving board and chute slide, too, and did plenty of laps in the lazy river. Water temperature was very nice. Seems like the guards, for the most part, were on top of any rowdiness or misbehavior. Snack bar was nice - one of the friendly teens even tracked down my young daughter when she forgot to claim her fifty cents in change. We had a fun time!

There were many people in the pool enjoying themselves, kids doing the dining board, people eating at the concession. It's the end of summer, of course attendance will be lower, but we all pay alot of money for a pass and should be able to use the facility until the season ends. We saw a Mom with her kids walking up as we were getting out things to leave. With kids starting school, we should still have the option of coming later to use the facility. That's what we paid for. As well the ice cream shack we always buy from and advertised as part of what we're getting was closed everytime we came there.
