Let me start by saying that my experience with the Beehive Hair Studio didn't start bad. In fact,…read moreit started really well and was a client for a number of years. My original stylist was someone that I trusted with my hair and utilized her for cut, styling, and Brazilian Blowouts. The salon offered a "mini" blowout which was affordable and produced results - just not lasting as long as the "full" option. Once my stylist left, I decided to stay but only to utilize the Brazilian Blowout treatments - I'm really picky about who cuts my hair and don't trust easily in this aspect of my life. After a Brazilian Blowout treatment, my hair didn't look the same. Once I got home from my appointment, I reached out to my stylist on Facebook and was told that the salon ran out of Brazilian Blowout solution and were told to dilute the remaining solution they had to "extend" the life of their product. She told me I could setup another appointment (another 4 hours) to "fix" things. When I went back into the salon to have my treatment "fixed" they asked for me to pay again. I explained that I was told the "fix" would be at no charge and shared what I was told by the stylist. After some back and forth with the front desk staff member and the back office - likely ownership - they agreed to not charge me. In addition, their esthetician (Julie) uses "homemade" solutions with treatments such as waxing so before you have anything touch your face, I would ask to see the product and labels with ingredients. I had my eyebrows done by Julie once - she offered it to me for free - and left with red marks and bumps that remained on my face for a week. As this was my first "waxing" experience, I didn't know that this wasn't normal. With this all said, I would NOT recommend this salon to those seeking an ethical approach to clients and services and would encourage you to support other local businesses/salons after doing in depth research and gathering local feedback.

As a tip for visitors, the hours listed here may need to be updated. (You will want to call in advance for an appt--this is not a walk-in situation, currently.) I will also say, I had been severely over-threaded in my teenage years and had been growing my brows out (only getting them cleaned up) for almost 2 years to allow regrowth. I don't know that my story was heard fully during my visit or that the brow shape given to me with a high arch fits me. They look really good but I'm not currently in love with them. Nikki suggested finding someone near me to follow the shape as they grow back in.
