Sean was so professional and explained everything very clearly and in detail. He made me feel so confident about hiring them, so I did. Moving day: I hired three men and a truck. Not only were they on time, they were so cheerful! It's like they love their work. The movers were meticulous, thorough and paid attention to every little detail. They asked questions when needed and follow any instructions/suggestion I offered. Again, they were just so NICE and boy, they hustle. I was thinking, "Hmmm. I hired them by the hour - not by the job. Not the best strategy." Wrong. These guys really work as quickly as possible and are totally focused on YOUR needs. The packed up my place and we drove over to my new place. Again, they had the same hustle and spirit when we got to the new place. They put everything where I asked them to, put the beds together, etc. They were super careful with everything from packed boxes to furniture to TVs. Not one thing broke - not one wall or floor was scratched. They are simply wonderful. I had flown cross-country solo, and without other options, I agreed to reschedule for the following day, including booking an additional night of hotel and paying increased airfare. Haze confirmed they would be there... The following day, after the first last-minute cancellation, they were unresponsive to multiple texts and calls over a multi-hour period, both from me and from agents at Uhaul. They did not show. They did not respond. They cost me hundreds of dollars in increased moving fees and travel overages, and have still been completely unresponsive. Buyer beware...

However, the day of the move, one of the workers put a large dent in the side of my filing cabinet. I was in the basement at the time so didn't see it, and the worker then tried to claim the dent was already there. I bought that filing cabinet new and nothing ever happened to it to cause such a dent. At the other end of the move, the workers piled two heavy boxes on top of my heirloom china. The china was in a special dish-pack box and had fragile stickers on the top and all four sides. I wrote to Jack to tell him about these two issues. Although I didn't ask for compensation, I did mention that the large dent in my filing cabinet probably dropped its resale value by $100. I got no response. No apology. Nothing. Find a different mover.

It was a pleasure communicating with the company leading up to the move, and on moving day Ali and Ross texted me in the morning letting me know they were on their way and gave me an ETA of when they would arrive (exactly on time), which I really appreciated. When they arrived they took a quick inventory and went straight to work, wrapping items with care, and efficiently loading up the truck. Nothing was damaged, no walls or floors were scratched, and they managed to get the fridge up the stairs and into its new spot seamlessly. When it came to the couch because the one side was so long they had to bring it over the balcony, they literally hoisted it over! They moved a very heavy, large chest of…read moredrawers from our entryway upstairs and set it up in a bedroom; then they moved two bed tables from the garage upstairs into the bedroom. They also moved my sewing machine from one bedroom to another and put a couple of things into the attic for me. Finally, they removed a heavy mirror from the wall and carried another heavy mirror from the garage upstairs. All that took them less than half an hour. The price was $400 less than the other movers I called. I heartily recommend The Moving Movers.
