The owner was super friendly and introduced me to the different flavors. It seemed like he might also be the baker, and he was clearly very proud of his pastries, which made the experience even better. The bread and pastries were delicious, soft, and fluffy. I forgot the exact names of the items I got, but I picked up three: one without any filling, which was my favorite, one with cream inside, and one with chocolate. The first two had just come out of the oven, so they were still warm. The prices were also very reasonable. I really love supporting small local businesses like this, and I hope they keep doing what they're doing and get more attention. That's one of the main reasons I enjoy writing reviews for small local businesses and hopefully help promote places that deserve it. One small suggestion: I hope the owner considers remodeling the interior to make it look a bit more modern. It's a very large space with a lot of potential. Overall, this was a great little find.

They were a little on the pricey side from the last time I visited...and TeaNergy that was across the highway now shares a business space with them, but ran by one person behind the counter for both. While abuelita's items were mostly priced (I had to ask about the multi pack I wanted since it was not labeled and didn't have signage) - TeaNergy on the other hand, ZERO pricing and no info on how much caffeine was in each size. I went on the TeaNergy website using the provided QR code and there's no info on caffeine amounts, which seems a little dangerous. While I don't so much favor the TeaNergy lack of info, Abuelita's pastries are what made me stop here. If I'm in Kyle again, I'd for sure make a stop here for the pastries, maybe not the tea tho.
