Large Ice Matcha with oat milk

    * Inside of Jo's Cafe is quite small, I'd say about the size of a two bed apartment in San Marcos, yet does get the job done. *The barista does yell loud so if you're looking for more of a library style quiet bar, I wouldn't recommend. Also the small size of the place, makes the noises extra loud. You'll be able to hear someone's detailed conversation... Not my vibe but if you like to eavesdrop this is the place! *People are in and out ordering coffee and matcha. The matcha is sweetened already so no need to add vanilla syrup into the mix. A large (20oz) iced matcha comes in a tall Togo cup. *Great spot for reading a book outside on the patio. Sun cover is present. *Free water and plastic cups are available by the entrance door. Water is great to have access to yourself inside of going up to the counter continuously for a refill please.

We visited Jo's Cafe for the first time recently and were more than pleasantly surprised. We weren't exactly sure what to expect, but it was lovely! Counter ordering/pick up with tons of seating (indoor and outdoor) and great prices. The person at the cash register was really nice considering there was a HUGE line behind us, plus the barista complimented my dress! The setup feels quaint and homey. We sat in the most beautiful little corner with bay windows. The food is super simple, but really good! We each got one of the breakfast plates and left full and happy!

Looking for a coffee shop? Look no further! Food: They have a good selection of food and coffee here. Everything is great and the menu is not overwhelming. It's a good spot to come and get what you need then relax. Service: Love the staff here. Always give great recommendations and super nice. Ambience: The location is great. Nice and calm with a home style feel. Great spot to sit and get some work done. I wish they had some better mosquito control and please add outdoor fans but still good outdoor spots. Love this place so much. Great spot to ride my motorcycle to and get a great coffee. Can't recommend this place more! Enjoy

A small little food/coffee cafe. You'll walk inside and place your order. They have limited seating inside and tables outside for seating as well. They have a few options for food. I got the breakfast burrito. I do like how your able to pick what you want in it from their choices. I believe you can pick up to 4 or 5 breakfasts items. It was a good sized burrito and very filling. They also have a variety of coffee flavors/drinks. I'll be honest when I say that I was expecting a little more of their coffee but it wasn't bad. Its served in little foam cups. Decently priced. You clean up after yourself. You'll throw your trash away and place your dishes in a bin. Nothing fancy. It was a cool spot to try once being that we were coming from SA.

We were tired of the free hotel breakfast so we looked for a breakfast place open on New Year's Day, I found this place through Yelp and it looked like it had good reviews. We called just before to make sure they were open and then went around 10am. The parking lot was empty which is always a perk. I got the vegetarian tacos - as someone who doesn't eat egg and is a vegetarian it's rough for me to find something but This place had food! I also got iced chai tea. The tacos weren't flavored too well but this place was a cute coffee shop.

Came in because of the chorizo breakfast taco reviews I ordered 3 tacos and have to say WOW! The chorizo was perfectly cooked, the flour tortillas were fresh and the egg with potatoes made my choice excellent. If you need a really great, quick, tasty taco you should hit this place up. Jo's sits on a nice little side street in San Marcos so you don't feel rushed to eat and scram. The staff is super cool so remember to say hello!

Waited for 1 and a half hour for burnt pancakes and scrambled eggs. They should have informed the customers regarding the long waiting time. All customers waited for an hour as I've observed.

Awesome experience, quaint local place with excellent food! Takes a second for food to come out but the food is definitely worth the wait.

Beware of the "5 Star" Reviews…read more Offering free drinks/apps in exchange. I do want to point out that I never submit reviews. Went in and sat down quick, yet the food took over an hour. We sat, ordered drinks along with the food when we got there. After we realized the people around us that arrived significantly later were already paying to leave, we got up to ask about our food as it had easily been 40 minutes. Got told it would be a couple of minutes, gave us waters. Mind you, we are now over an hour into waiting. Food started to roll out and we kept getting offered free chips in the meantime- sorry but this solves the situation how? We are now going to be full of chips and not food. 2 of the meals still took an extra 20 min after the majority rolled out and of course, my parents' food came out COLD. What were we waiting for on this exactly? A lady, who I am assuming is the manager, came to apologize, told us she would remove the 2 items from the ticket. We were understanding. However, she then admitted they dropped the ball- this is where this place really lost us. She stated that they tried to reheat the plates and just pass it as "fresh." Thank you for finally being honest but this truly just gave me a bad image of management. I felt like they just threw the team under the bus. We asked for the check and when we asked if she did comp the 2 plates, she gave an attitude responding, "I did, I fixed it" and then proceeded to send someone else to check us out. That is not how you manage or take ownership. As a manager myself, you take care of the person full on through to try and turn the situation around. Had she done that or had the staff communicated that they messed up when we had initially asked, we would've been completely fine instead all that happened here. We were in there for about 2.5 hours. Unfortunately left disappointed due to the good reviews we initially saw.

The new onions and peppers as well as eggs tasted fresher than most breakfast places. Still love their middle-ground salsa. Avocado toast benedict is Mr R's new favorite, (beating out their carnitas in his opinion and even after eating most of a tub of Fuego's good guacamole this weekend). I think it's absolutely wonderful, the only drawback being one of the soft eggs had leaked beautiful golden yolk but the base of toast and fried potatoes did a good job soaking it up. Enjoyable balance of rich and fresh, beautiful colors, filling without being sleep-inducing. It's more expensive than drive-through sausage biscuits or a taco stand and there's a wait if you don't call in your order ahead, but there is some tasty stuff here made with decent ingredients and presented well. Once again, it would have been worth the price without the coupon and I understand why this parking lot was busy after church hours. We'll definitely be back.

The last of us had bourbon pecan chicken.
