This store got an amazing variety of hats!! They also got the newest brand of cap that's very popular with golfers now. They also got some really cool sunglasses. Staff is very friendly and knowledgable and they don't mind if you try on as many hats as you want. They have a nice selection of Steampunk hats. Not costumes - hats you could wear. read more

What a great hat store! This store had every kind of hat you could think of. There is a hat for every occasion for men and women. There are formal hats as well as casual hats. You can purchase a hat for a roaring 20's party, or you can get one to wear with your jeans in 2018. I kid you not, there is a hat for everything in this store. Some hats for the men are beanies, boaters, bowlers, caps and many more. For the women, you can get the same kind of hats that are offered for men; however, you can customize a woman's hat with various accessories. You can add flower crowns, pins, headbands, or a veil to your hat. You can jazz it up, wear it plain or set a casual tone. Overall, this is one of the best hat stores I've seen in a long time. I only gave this store 2 stars because the employees have a bad habit of not speaking to black customers until they actually have to. I was 1 of 2 people in the store for 10 minutes before anyone came to Greet me. And the same white women that didn't speak did not even say Good Bye once we left. Wish I could give "0". One of the employees, possibly the owner, followed us around but never offered to help. Then he proceeded to count that hats after we looked at them. There were plenty of people, but he sure didn't do that to anyone else. We also happened to be the only latinos at the store. I don't think this is coincidental. It's too bad because I really liked a few of the hats. Also, why are there so many hats thrown on the floor? I notified the aforementioned man, he said "I know I put them there". Didn't anticipate how hot it was back in July at 40 degrees Celsius, so safe to say that I needed some protection from walking outside. What was great about the sales staff were the patience--i must've tried over 10 hats, and a few times, she had to rummage stuff from the back or on the shelves to find one for my big head. Settled on an oversized Australian-style, Crocodile Dundee like, brown Cabana, and for $70, it was well worth every penny. I purchased a Bailey Taxten style hat from Chapel in Las Vegas, and I will tell you I could not be happier! Honestly, you would not think a simple hat would be such a wow factor, at least that is what I originally thought. I have received so many compliments this past month on my Bailey hat just going about my business among the city. People will come up to me and ask where I purchased it, how much it was, etc. I'm starting to think that the manufacturer Bailey, put a magic spell on the hat to attract attention LOL. The service at Chapel Hats was fantastic, and the staff was very helpful in selecting the correct size and fit. The staff was very knowledgeable about the history/origination involving the style of hat that I purchased and the many other hats I viewed. As they explained in relation to my hat of preference, the Bailey Taxten Poet design was inspired by the era of the earlier West (1922-1930's), a fine example of early American Western Heritage. As far as the hat itself, the actual Bailey Hat Company did not originate in Las Vegas. The Bailey company was established in Los Angeles, California in 1922 by George S. Bailey. Bailey embraced the exploding growth and excitement of Los Angeles in the 1920's, the heady mixture of oil fields, aviation, land speculation and movie glamour. If you want an extremely high quality hat, good service, and a great overall experience, I would recommend Chapel Hats for service, and Bailey hats for quality product. Chapel also has many beautiful modern and classic style women's hats. I had a great experience purchasing a hat, and I also learned some neat apparel history in addition. MADE FOR THE HAT LOVER!!!! Tons of hats, all colors, sizes and shapes. From Chapels to Fedoras, they have them all. (This store is in the Mandalay Place shopping area between the Mandalay Bay and Luxor hotels, although there's apparently another in the Venetian.) _Great_ selection of hats, from those that would be functional daily in all kinds of climates -- focused primarily on warm climates, of course -- to those that are primarily for being nighttime-stylish. There was even a surprisingly large selection of creative hats more related to steampunk styles. The staff is friendly and patient. The one negative is that the hats are pretty pricey . . . but it is Las Vegas. read more

Just visited this store with a group of friends last week and absolutely loved my time here. I am an extreme hat lover and have a huge collection at home. Every time I come to Vegas I make a point to visit Mandalay Bay and buy a hat. Somewhat a tradition I have, that I have now been able to experience with my girlfriends. The staff was great and helped us so much on deciding and color coordinating with our dresses we all had since we were on our way to a bachlorette tea brunch and none of us could make up our minds. It was fun as always and they were even swing dancing with us for a moment! Definitely don't see customer service like that everywhere. I always leave with a few hats and a great memory, can't wait to come back! read more
