Chapman crafted is an excellent spot. They opened right after my business did in old town orange and I must say they change with the times for the better. Their space is amazing and always a great place to chillax and have a brew or tasty coffee beer. They hosted an Architechts of Orange Event and it was epic. I absolutely love the variety of glassware they serve the beer in; I pretty much stick to drinking pilsners here just because I enjoy drinking from the little steins. We stopped by on the way back from hiking near Saddleback but I'd make a trip to OC just for these beers. On a Wednesday afternoon this place was empty. The bartender was really nice to let us try a few samples. I love their tiny shot glasses for it. Overall the beer was okay to me. I liked it but it wasn't so good I am thinking about how I have to go back ASAP and get some more. I tried the guava berliner. I am not a tart sour beer person and I found this one tolerable. Almost an orange juice tartness. I also had the honey wheat ale which was a nice sweet flavor. Around $6 a pint was very reasonable. Unfortunately you have to order an actual flight to do tasters. Came during their soft opening, I was excited to see a brewery in Old Orange! Naturally it didn't disappoint. They have a line up of 9 beers on tap, ranging from 4-6 dollars per glass or $1.50-2.00 per flight portion. I had their Hello Again lager, which is your typical light, refreshing lager which I'm sure will become their staple beer. Staff was friendly but also hustling around since they just launched today... Lots of talk about what to do next, what's going good, what's not working, etc. which is fine. I was one of the first here so the entire place was super clean; hope it stays that way! Parking can be a bit of a hassle, they have a very small lot that probably fits about 4-5 cars, then the rest is street parking. I came at 4 on a Wednesday and had to make a few turn arounds to get a spot. Other than that, things look good to go! Cheers! read more

From the outside this place looks like any run-of-the-mill brewery. I had never heard of this brewery before so I honestly didnt expect much. The inside looks pretty standard, though they do have a foosball table and two separate rooms adorned w several TVs to catch the latest game. The star here really is the beer selection, which I severely underestimated due to the the brerwery aesthetics. I had four tasters - slow riser, Super Smooth, Say No More and Yes Chef (my faves in descending order). All were good, if not exceptional (Slow Riser and Super Smooth). I would have taken a 4-pack home but they didnt have any in stock. The bartender was also nice enough to give me to free samples since I was a firsttime visitor. Def plan to come back and I hope by then they will have cans or offer growler fills for the beers I liked most. Right now, they only had cans for one of the 10+ beers on their menu. read more

That space could easily be changed to a 2nd bath, and the final reason for the star deduction: it really irked me they cheated us on our beer. After we had one beer, we ordered one to share and they ran out of glasses, so gave us a half pour in another glass and charged full price. We mentioned it to the server, and wow he had a defensive attitude. A couple of minutes later, he came back with a splash and slammed it in the table saying that we're now even. Friendly local craft brewery. Unfortunately it doesn't serve food, but you're a two minute walk away from Omega, and they're usually cool with people bringing food in. If you haven't drank yet, it's only a one minute walk. Noah is an amazing bartender and kind soul, as are the rest of the staff here. I was working on a script about a brew pub, and the team was extremely helpful about everything. I've run into Noah around town, and he's always a friendly dude. Mike is also a great guy, who taught me a lot about brewing. As for the beers, they're delicious. What to order depends on what you like, but you'll like it. Their pilsner is like Miller High Life taken up to eleven, which is bubbly and crisp without that aftertaste you normally get. Their coffee stout is probably the best I've had, and a go-to after a long school day. The rice-based beer which I can't name at the moment is also amazing. Even the types of beers I don't normally care for, they do them justice and I love their interpretations. If you love board games, you gotta play this Pac Man math game they have here. I've never seen it anywhere else, but it's the perfect game for drinking (simple enough to play after a few drinks, few rules, plenty of opportunities to trick your opponents, 80s pop culture references). They also have Big Jenga (classic) and a room with foosball and ping pong, but this is often reserved for private events. This is actually my favorite craft brewery, if not my favorite bar, and I only wish they also served cocktails, or hopefully micheladas, but that's asking too much. Still in its soft opening, but already this place is producing phenomenal beers! Highlights for me were the My Two Dollars (IPA) & Azacca To Me (DIPA). Prices average $6 for a full pour ... Tasters $1.50 to $2.50 ... so pretty standard for the area. They offer both 32oz & 64oz growlers. At this time, only filling their own labeled growlers (really hoping that changes!). Solid service ... Space is spartan-like but who really cares, you are here for the HIGH QUALITY beer & not to impress some girl on date night. About 8 high top tables that seat about 4 each. SMALL parking lot ... this will probably be the biggest pain, finding parking ... beware of "Permit Only" street parking!!! They ticket out here like crazy! Best place to grab beers after a day of work or classes. All of the beers I've tried here are delicious and refreshing! Prices are more than reasonable, too! They have board games in the corner and they just added corn hole and a ping pong table! There are TVs for you to catch the game and they also host trivia night on Tuesdays! They don't have a kitchen but have chips/salsa and beef jerky for purchase. A food truck frequents at night and you're more than welcome to bring it in and eat it with your beer. Service is always great! Doug is super nice and remembers you after only a few times. I'd definitely recommend this place to hang out with friends for one beer or a few beers! The beer is great. But going there in person there was just a lot of odd experiences that dampened the vibe. First off, they showed us a QR code to see the menu, and all they had a good amount of beer we wanted to try. Nowhere on it did it say price, or if a tasting flight was available. FYI you can find price info on Untappd, but nowhere does it say anything about flights. So we got full beers. We later see other people drinking flights so that was super annoying. Then when I ordered they also wanted to see my boyfriends ID. Look, I know why it's necessary, but it's also never happened to me and is super inconvenient because he was holding down the table. So I had to go back and get him so he could show his ID and pick up our beers. Then, we liked what we tasted, and wanted a few cans. But nope, they have only a small selection and only in 4-packs, no singles. And apparently they also have food? Why do they have a food truck in front though? What is with this place? Chapman Crafted is my new go-to spot due to its proximity and its awesome environment. They do not specialize in any beer in particular, so it's perfect for people who need some variety in their life. Prices are pretty reasonable ($5-7 a pint), and it's in an area that is close by Orange Circle, Chapman University, and the Orange train station. There are a bunch of board games available, ping pong, corn hole, TVs that will usually have "the game" on, and beertenders who make good conversation. My favorite part is their Taco Tuesday Trivia Night, which happens every Tuesday at 7:30 pm. It's free to join, you can have as many or as little in your group as you want, and it's really fun. The categories range from general knowledge, to name that tune, to solving puzzles. Oh yeah, there's beer too. I personally enjoy the Wit-Tea, a light and floral Witbier. I also like the Hop Shade IPA, Closed Caption Stout, and the Slow Riser. Basically, everything that I tried, I have liked. They have options for purchasing in tasters, pints, crowlers, growlers, etc. There WILL be something you like, as long as you like beer. I'm so glad that this local place is here. It's still unknown enough that it's not overrun with people, and all the beers are good quality. It definitely deserves to be on anybody's OC brewery hopping rotation. The new kid on the block is really making some good beer, and its in Old Towne Orange to boot. Are you kidding me? Precious Old Towne is letting more gastro pubs and breweries into their holy area. I must say I am not shocked as this is what brings people in nowadays. But enough about Orange lets talk about this super clean establishment that is churning out the killer variety of beers. Came here as I was with around 12 of my friends taking them on a brewery tour. They have around 15 taps if I remember correctly. And they have a nice range of IPA, Stout, Milk Stout, Reds, etc. So I really like all the IPAs they have to offer they range from hoppy, citrus and hazy. I dont know the names off the top of my head but if you like IPAs they got good ones. Also, they have a great golden milk stout here on nitro. If you like Nobles Naughty Sauce you have to try this. The place is very well kept and is super clean. They have plenty of seating and from the looks of it are expanding already. If you are a fan of beer and if you are looking at this review you must be. My lady and I came here the other day. We have had their beers before but not from the "actual source" as I call it. Nice set up very chill environment and I'm not sure what was up with the music selection but it was great (old school MOTOWN) hope that's a consistent thing there.
