Lots of unnecessary up-selling and repairs unnecessary for a rebuilt salvage title vehicle and TONS of scare tactics to make more money (very common with single women trying to get car repairs) That being said: my experience at Auto Emporium was a breath of fresh air after a ton of bad experiences. I had a general idea what was wrong with my car (difficulty starting/misfiring/stalling). They took detailed notes in what I could provide about the problem and instead of wasting time digging around, they reached back out to me for additional rounds of questions TO REALLY pinpoint what the root problem was. Too many mechanics are too stubborn to reach back out for questions of the owners which can help diagnose problems sooner - it's a huge time waster!! So having their staff with a running list of questions had my car fixed SAME DAY. That timeframe was absolutely insane to me. I love that they also took the time out to itemize EVERYTHING that came up on the inspection and while that did have a price tag, I now have a to-do list of the next repairs coming up so I can save up for them. It's relieving having answers for things that could be problems later. Additionally, since like-items were itemized I could pick and choose the repairs that absolutely needed to be done for this visit. One of my concerns was the hours of operation, but they have a great little lockbox system for car/key dropoffs. So don't let that deter you from using their services! All my in person/text/phone interactions were all great! My car is starting and running beautifully again after them flushing out my transmission system same day (which is a huge relief because I was trying to organize rides for 3am work shifts) That being said, if my dad is still out of commission for the other identified issues, I would totally come back and have them do the repairs.

They took advantage of me. Why even have the "call me with an estimate" option if they aren't going to do that? They kept my car all day. I even called mid-day and talked to someone on the phone and he never told me the cost of anything, never warned me about cost or talked numbers. He never offered advice about the services I'd requested, like what maintenance was typically done at this mileage. I learned to always request an estimate, to not be naive and trusting. I used to take my car here regularly but now I can't trust them.

They broke the glass and while they didn't steal the car, they completely messed up my steering panel. I tried calling a couple places that could fix this, C.A.R.S. told me they could, so I had my tow truck drop it off there. It took about a month to get my car back (that wasn't entirely their fault, my understanding is there was a cyber hack that delayed things. Still, it would have been nice for them to let me know that update versus me calling them asking what was going on). Not long after, my car was having trouble turning on. Tried jumper cables, that didn't work. So again, I had my car towed back to C.A.R.S. for further inspection. They replaced the starter. A month later, again, I was having troubles turning my car on and took it back for a third time to C.A.R.S. They told me basically nothing was wrong, my vehicle is in "theft mode" and if I just play around with the key fob, it should work. I found that odd because I never do anything different when I get in my car and turn it on, but ok. From there, sometimes it would turn on, sometimes it would not. I would have to basically hope and pray the "key fob" trick would work. After some more time, that no longer would work and I had to use jumper cables to get my car to turn on. I no longer could trust C.A.R.S. to fix this issue, as I kept racking up charges and my car was never reliable. So I took it to Luke's Auto instead. There, they found my module was completely disconnected. Since I had to jump my car so often, I now needed a new battery. I'm not a car guy, so getting into the specifics on the repairs is above my pay grade. But here's what I can confidently share: Driving (if I could drive at all) my car ever since I took it to C.A.R.S. made my life hell. Between my initial insurance claim and future visits, I spent thousands of dollars to not have a reliable vehicle. Ever since I took it to Luke's, it has been a pain-free experience and my vehicle has been perfectly normal. Had I simply taken my car there back in June, I would have saved so much money and had so much less stress. Not to mention, they came across significantly more communicative and customer-friendly, from their waiting room all the way to their follow-ups.

This caused coolant to leak into the engine bay and could have led to much more serious engine damage if it hadn't been caught quickly. A mistake like this is concerning because the cooling system is a critical component, and something as basic as verifying that all hose clamps are properly secured should be part of every final inspection before a vehicle is returned to the customer. That said, I also believe it's important to recognize when a business makes a genuine effort to address a problem. Once the issue was brought to the shop's attention, the service manager handled the situation professionally. While the original workmanship issue should not have occurred, he did what he could to make the situation right by listening to my concerns, arranging for the vehicle to be checked over, and working to restore my confidence in the repair. No repair shop is immune to mistakes, but how those mistakes are handled matters. In this case, the initial repair fell short of the standard I expected, but the service manager's professionalism and willingness to stand behind the work improved what could have been a much worse experience. Overall, I hope the shop strengthens its quality-control procedures to ensure critical items like coolant hose connections are verified before vehicles leave the shop. If they do, I believe they can provide a much more consistently positive customer experience.

First of all, when you set up an appointment, you can request a loaner car, so that you don't need to wait there for the car, and I didn't have to miss work. I also saw a different rep ordering someone an Uber for a different customer because who didn't have appointment so there wasn't a loaner available. Secondly, I originally went in for a transmission flush. While I was at work, I got a text and email of the inspection they had done. The inspection was really easy to read, and gave me different levels of recommendations for other things that needed to be done. Some things were urgent, and some things were needed soon, but not urgent, and there were some things that were for maintenance only. On my lunch break, I called my service rep, and he was able to talk me through all of the things on the report, and explain things to me, because I am pretty illiterate when it comes to cars. I ended up also getting my drive belt replaced as well. But my rep made sure to let me know what the price would before I decided to go through with it. At the end of my work day, I drove my loaner car back to Luke's and picked my car up, and was on my way. Overall, the inspection report, and the loaner car I think is what really separates Luke's from the rest. When I've taken my car to get an oil change or the tires replaced at other places, i've always had to wait in the lobby and its a waste of time. I lost no time with Luke's and knew exactly what was happening to my car. Take your car to Luke's if you want incredible service.

The care I recieved at ER Auto'care' was terrible and I will never be returning. On my way to work,…read moreI was forced to find a mechanic due to engine stutters/misfires and a blinking engine light. I am not from the area so I googled car repair shops, and ER Autocare was at the top of the list with fantastic ratings. Upon arriving at their Plain City location (around 8:45 am) I was received by Chris who said that they would run their diagnostic test and do their best to find the source of the problem. As you would expect, I was relieved when he returned later and told me that only one issue came up: one of the oxygen sensors. The price they charged me seemed expensive but I agreed to it since they were fully repairing it and I was ready to be on my way. Instead of returning with good news an hour later, Chris came out and informed me that when they were running tests (after replacing the initial oxygen sensor), the other oxygen sensor began reading bad and they needed to replace it. I was very frustrated and already felt slightly manipulated but after asking several questions I eventually agreed to it. That was a huge mistake. An hour later Chris returned again with more bad news: once they replaced the second oxygen sensor, the diagnostic test signaled that the fuel injector was needed to be replaced and the car would not run properly without the repairs. The grand total for this piece was a $800. I couldn't believe it and I was NOT about to agree to that repair without outside advice, so I called my dad. He has mechanical experience and once I explained to him what was going on he actually talked with Chris and asked several questions to make sure we were getting the best price possible. Eventually we decided to let them replace it and they worked on the car for another three hours. Later on at 5:15 pm, Chris came out and told me that they were confident the car was fixed and running smoothly, even though it had apparently stalled during one of the test drives. I took his word since I was in a rush to get to a commitment at 6 and paid the total of $1400. As I drove away, my heart sank. After spending all my savings and sitting at the mechanic shop for eight hours, my car was running worse than it had been that morning before taking it to the shop. I made it home and the next day I called ER Autocare because there was no way I was going to let this slide. All Chris said was that I needed to bring the car in so they could continue to work on it and try to figure out what the issue was, which I was NOT about to do. A friend had recommended Streamline Mechanic so I called them and took my car there the next morning, hoping that they could resolve the problem easily since it had been so difficult for ER to figure out. Streamline went above and beyond my expectations as they found the issue and fixed it in seven hours for a third of the price, and I haven't had any problems since. In summary, I will not be returning to ER autocare and will never recommend it to anyone. Do not take your car there if you want to save your precious time and money.

On March 30th, I took the car to Cheeseman's after AAA had told me that I had a bad pulley. I asked that the pulley be repaired, and also asked that the brakes be checked, as I had heard them grinding. Later the same day, I was told that my AC compressor had to be replaced, and that all the brakes were fine except that the front ones would need to be replaced fairly soon. I opted to just have the compressor repaired at this time. When I drove the car that evening, I still heard the back brakes grinding, smoke coming from the engine, and the turn signals and hazard lights were no longer working properly. I thought about taking the car back to Cheeseman's, but before I got a chance, they called me and told me that they had forgotten to charge the AC compressor, and asked that I bring my car back in so they could do that. I agreed, and dropped my car off first thing this morning. A short time later, I returned their call to learn that the AC condenser needed to be replaced. I was also told that the back brake shoes and drums had to be replaced. I found this odd as I was told the day before that there was no problem with the back brakes. I had also asked that the relay switch for the turn signals and hazard lights be checked, but I'm not sure if that was even done. They asked for another $750 to fix the condenser and $450 to repair the back brakes, after I had already paid $1100. When I first took the car in, I had asked them initially to let me know what the full cost of repair was going to be, as I wanted to make a decision as to whether or not it was worth it to have such an old car repaired. If I had known that the back brakes needed to be repaired, I would have had them do that the first time I took the car in, but the lady I spoke with on the phone assured me several times the brakes were fine and that the grinding noise was probably due to dust and debris buildup. Not only am I very disappointed that my car is not repaired, the turn signals and hazard lights no longer function properly and I can't even drive it because of the brakes. I feel pretty stupid and embarrassed for trusting Cheesman's with my car, and was literally holding back tears when I went to retrieve it. They had had great reviews and recommendations on my neighborhood Facebook page. I will be taking my car to another shop to have my car properly repaired, as well as to check the work done by Cheeseman's. Honestly, if I had known that the total repairs would be well over $2000, I prwould have started purchasing another car instead.

If you are heading south on Kenny, you may have to do a u-turn to get into their lot because it's easy to miss. 2. They just opened so their waiting area is small and sparse, but there are chairs and a very clean bathroom for customers. But the prices are great and the guys do not try to over-sell you. They asked me how long I planned to keep my car and gave me options on part pricing of good, better, and best instead of trying to sell me on the most expensive parts. How refreshing is that? In fact, I…read morewaited nearly 14 months before commiting my concerns to Yelp simply so I could rationally explain what a great mistake I'd made entrusting my car's service to them I'd purchased a used 2008 Saturn Vue in July 2017 (with an "As Is" warranty and 105,000 miles on it) from a local small car lot that has since gone out of business. From day one, the problems began. Before taking the car, but after complaining the front brakes felt mushy, the salesman (allegedly) had their mechanic perform a front only brake job. Within 500 feet off the lot, the check engine light came on. The gas gauge was off by half a tank. The front windows were stuck in the up position. (I was able to fix that problem myself.) The driver side headlamp burned out. The ABS sensor came on. And the passenger front end began making some very disconcerting noises. I didn't have a regular mechanic and had financed this vehicle for 36+months so I asked a co-worker who he'd recommend. He directed me to Noebull Automotive. Nearly $3,100 later I paid the charges in full and left the shop. Within 3 days of leaving the shop virtually every single repair came undone. The check engine light came back on. The ABS sensor reappeared. The fuel gauge tank unit (which was replaced) reverted back to the original problem, leaving me to "guess" how much gas I had within a day's time of "filling up". I was told the noise up front necessitated the installation of new front stabilizers and a sway bar assembly. Overall the steering improved (which may have been helped by an alignment also performed) but the ominous noises from the right front continued to occur. I brought all of my concerns to the manager's attention and he assured me things would be worked out. I brought the car back a day or so later (mostly because of the noises) and he determined that the catalytic converter was failing. In order to "save me" the cost of replacing it he offered to perform a Hail Mary technique of burning out the debris. $118 later nothing was resolved. As ALL of my savings had now been exhaused paying for work/fixes that consistently failed I resolved to sell the vehicle as quickly as possible and lick the financial wounds ALL-bull had visited on me. In short, they may have qualified and capable mechanics working for them but I think only rank amateurs worked on MY car. They saw me coming and cleaned my clock - a cautionary lesson to anyone else seeking automotive service from Noebull Automotive.
