The care I recieved at ER Auto'care' was terrible and I will never be returning. On my way to work, I was forced to find a mechanic due to engine stutters/misfires and a blinking engine light. I am not from the area so I googled car repair shops, and ER Autocare was at the top of the list with fantastic ratings. Upon arriving at their Plain City location (around 8:45 am) I was received by Chris who said that they would run their diagnostic test and do their best to find the source of the problem. As you would expect, I was relieved when he returned later and told me that only one issue came up: one of the oxygen sensors. The price they charged me seemed expensive but I agreed to it since they were fully repairing it and I was ready to be on my way. Instead of returning with good news an hour later, Chris came out and informed me that when they were running tests (after replacing the initial oxygen sensor), the other oxygen sensor began reading bad and they needed to replace it. I was very frustrated and already felt slightly manipulated but after asking several questions I eventually agreed to it. That was a huge mistake. An hour later Chris returned again with more bad news: once they replaced the second oxygen sensor, the diagnostic test signaled that the fuel injector was needed to be replaced and the car would not run properly without the repairs. The grand total for this piece was a $800. I couldn't believe it and I was NOT about to agree to that repair without outside advice, so I called my dad. He has mechanical experience and once I explained to him what was going on he actually talked with Chris and asked several questions to make sure we were getting the best price possible. Eventually we decided to let them replace it and they worked on the car for another three hours. Later on at 5:15 pm, Chris came out and told me that they were confident the car was fixed and running smoothly, even though it had apparently stalled during one of the test drives. I took his word since I was in a rush to get to a commitment at 6 and paid the total of $1400. As I drove away, my heart sank. After spending all my savings and sitting at the mechanic shop for eight hours, my car was running worse than it had been that morning before taking it to the shop. I made it home and the next day I called ER Autocare because there was no way I was going to let this slide. All Chris said was that I needed to bring the car in so they could continue to work on it and try to figure out what the issue was, which I was NOT about to do. A friend had recommended Streamline Mechanic so I called them and took my car there the next morning, hoping that they could resolve the problem easily since it had been so difficult for ER to figure out. Streamline went above and beyond my expectations as they found the issue and fixed it in seven hours for a third of the price, and I haven't had any problems since. In summary, I will not be returning to ER autocare and will never recommend it to anyone. Do not take your car there if you want to save your precious time and money. read more

Started out getting an oil change, then the service person came out with an air filter and cabin filter, saying they needed replaced. I was charged over $200 for a couple of filters that could be bought for $15 - $20. Installation for both would take maybe 5 minutes. I thought dealing with an independant garage would be less expensive than a car dealer's service center. Hah! Never again. read more

My car was is need of a lot of work. They worked with me to work out a timeline on when I could slowly fix it. They were very honest with me and walked me through everything. I've had my car worked on at ER off and on since I bought the thing. My car is not new by any means, and has needed work from a radiator replacement... to brake jobs... to exhaust work... and every little thing in between and they've handled it. They have a super cute lobby at their Plain City location and they always have chilled drinks, coffee, and fresh baked goods. They offer loaner cars for certain services and I've never used that amenity personally, but the loaner vehicles in their lot look very nice and clean every time I see them! Even though I've moved throughout the years I still come back to ER because they're not judgy of my old decaying SUV, and they do their best to help. I can't speak to their pricing just because I honestly haven't had my car worked on anywhere else for big things. But they have coupons and I've always been able to afford their work! read more

HORRIBLE. We have taken care quite a lot, and in the last year they have gone down hill a lot, and we still took our cars back, never again. The looked at my car a week ago told us what was wrong and were suppose to fill out the paperwork for insurance. Called yesterday a week later and they still had not even filled it out. No apologies made every excuse, then had the audacity to say, "we didn't know you were in a hurry"! first who is not in a hurry to fix their car, second who starts a job and doesn't finish it. Then still didn't give a clear answer on when it would be done. This was after calling them 6 times through the day never getting a call back. They are terrible and upcharge a ridicules amount. Multiple other shops have fit us in and quoted less. I will NEVER take my car there again and tell all the people I recommended go, who take their cars there, to switch if they are smart. read more

I have had my Aunt take her car here for multiple repairs be cause they gave her a loner car while repairing hers. We had them replace the original exhaust in fall of 2021, which at that time was 6 years old an 70k miles. Today, 3 years and 31K miles later the exhaust needed replaced again, it lasted half as long as the OEM exhaust, and told her they don't do loaner cars at this location. But I counted 6 loaner cars parked there when I took her in to pick up her car. I will make sure she finds a new place for her future auto repairs. Took my Jeep in because ABS light was on Told me I needed wheel bearings and abs sensor replaced,,,,wait for it $1100.00 and some change,,,just completely ridiculous Also to tell me that it was $185.00,,,, Was told I had an oil leak,,,I never had one and still don't,,,also you'll need 4 tires,,,no I don't,,,just do what I asked that's all ,, So I go buy the ABD sensor,,,$34.99 and 20 mins later abs light was off,,,,wheel bearings are just fine. I made a mistake and believed Eric Raber's claims in all his ads. I have used their services 3 times and the past two came up WAY short. I have emailed the company about the problems and have not received a response. I had them pick up my car because I heard a noise that sounded like a roofing nail in one of my tires. They called me with a diagnosis that it was a sidewall puncture and said they had to replace the two front tires. I did not get a pic of the damaged tire nor was I offered the other good tire as a spare. After spending over $400 to have the noise issue fixed, it continues to this day. In my opinion, their was no actual tire damage and the ruined me off for a new set of unneeded tires. When I called to tell them that the talking noise continued, they told me that it was a clamp in the front CV Boot. They said they put a new clamp on it before returning it. The noise continued. While working on my car I noticed a loose hose clamp on the CV shaft PLUS a wide open boot without any clamp. See pix. Second issue: I reported that I had an oil leak and asked them to fix it. They said I needed my head gasket replaced. Very expensive but had them do it. While under my car looking at the CV Boot issue, I noticed an oil leak dripping from the oil pan but also oil stains in the drive. Again, they failed to fix the issue I paid for. I think that was about $1800. See pix. I had great hopes from believing Raber's radio ads. Turns out that they are no different than the car repair shops with which they compare themselves. Bottom line: don't believe Eric Raber's advertisements. Pure hype. The other service they provided was replacing the entire exhaust system on my Camry. Except for a rattling noise, that they ultimately fixed, the job they did seemed well done and is the only reason it saved them from getting a 1 Star rating. One very disappointed senior customer here. No way to treat an Army Vet either. read more

True to life liars at this place . had to call the Attorney General on them tore up my power drivers seat and after I was supposedly supposed to get an alignment I get my car back and find that's it's worse . The verdict from the dealership : Hey you need a new A arm and strut then get an alignment . If the Co owner Brent would tell me to erase a negative review and tell me he's the owner then I pick my car up to thousands of dollars of repairs needed , what else would such a person lie about . hmmm . I have nothing to gain by telling the truth on the other hand they have to be crooked and dishonest . I called ER because of a recommendation from a family member. They diagnosed my CRV as needing a new starter. Not a surprise, but the quote was! $930! They told me the starter was expensive, implying that was the majority of the cost. What could I do? I was kinda stuck, wasn't sure it would even start again. I got my car back that day. But I checked later with the service manager at my Honda dealership and their repair charge would've been $760! The dealer's cost was $440 for an original Honda starter. I can't criticize ER's repair work, but they saw me coming at the price! I would always get a second quote if possible before using them again. And I won't assume the dealer's shop is more expensive than an independant. read more

Very pleased with the service preformed and the quick turn around time. I called because I needed a new battery, they advised it would be ordered and delivered to them within the hour. I showed up approx an hour later, and within 15 minutes the battery was installed and I was on my way. the work they have done on my vehicles has been ok but their prices are extremely high . i have found also that they replace parts that were not bad to begin with . some of the work that they said needed to be done did not actually fix anything . when i have gone to other repair shops in the area i have gotten repairs done for as much as half what ER AUTO CARE quoted me and was told that some parts they wanted to replace were just fine and did not need to be replaced at all . I went to them because i thought they would charge less than the dealership and they had been recommended by a neighbor . that was so wrong to assume .now i never get less than 2 estimates on repairs . i feel that i can not trust er auto care to be honest with their recommendations on repairs . shops like this are giving all repair shops a bad name . can you trust any repair shop anymore ? read more

These guys are the best! The coolant tank on my SAAB was leaking and there was an issue with my suspension as well, I took the car to them and they had it back to me in under a week. They gave me a fair price for the fix and worked efficiently keeping me updated throughout the process. Took a hour to do a simple oil change, also located in the middle of nowhere... After hitting a deep pot hole my car was shaking and was certain that something was bent or broken because of how hard and deep the impact was. The car is a 2003 pilot and was worried about expensive repairs. Dropped my car off late afternoon was given a free loaner car home and to work the next morning. Recieved a call and was suggested after an initial inspection that we start with a tire balance and rotation. They were definitely not interested in soaking me for any unnecessary repairs I didn't need. I was prepared for the worst but was very happy that the recommended simplest, very low cost solution solved the problem.
