Didn't fix issue and was promised. Engine light didn't go off after $2300. I would not recommend this place.

Believe all the bad reviews.!! As a real customer who took my car in TWICE, once with the original issue, and again to fix the damage they caused to my fuel injectors with their "walnut cleaning" Neither time did my original issue get fixed and they even tried to say it was my exhaust pipe rattling. Turns out if they had just replaced my damn Camshaft position actuator the problem would've went away! But no, they had me spend 2 grand OUT OF POCKET the first time, didn't fix my issue, instead I had a new one, and another 2787 OUT OF POCKET yet again to fix the issue THEY CAUSED!! And lied to my face as well as lost my ENGINE COVER! These people are ripping you off! DO NOT TRUST WHAT THEY SAY TO YOU THEY ARE LIARS and I have paperwork to prove it! ALL NEW FUEL INJECTORS, SPARK PLUGS, Intake Manifold Gasket and still the same issue. read more

When I need my car looked at, THIS is the place I go. This place really takes care of you right away and makes things as convenient as possible! I usually just drop in, let them know what's going on and they shuttle me to work which is less than ten minutes down the road, then they call and text me a quote, get the work done and send the shuttle to pick me up by end of day. SUPER easy! Usually the most difficult thing for me would be to find a day and time I can either sit to have my car looked at and/or have my fiancee take me to work and pick me up, so not having to worry about finnagling my schedule around to find a needle in a haystack that works for me I don't even have to worry about any of that! THAT really makes choosing this spot for my car work a no-brainer. Everyone I've dealt with has always been super nice, professional and responsive to deal with, which is also a big plus since car issues are usually not fun to deal with in themselves. I took my vehicle in for oil change and tire rotation.(coupon from the mail). They asked who did my last oil change and said that the bolt on the oil pan is crossed threaded and now my oil leaks after they did the oil change. Their recommendation was a $1400 oil pan replacement. Other dealers recommended the job for 450. This is in New Albany. They quoted another gentleman $130 to change his cabin air filter. I did not have them do my work and I would never go there again. they should get zero stars from everyone who are we fooling? read more

Poor service and took our vehicle back 3 times for the same problem and Oxford Automotive kept telling us something new and more $$ Told them to give me my money back and they said unless I paid another $700 I wont get my keys back. Paid, left wont go back and wont recommend. read more

I took my car in due to a coolant leak and over heating. The first time they gave it back, within 1 hour the check engine light came on and car ran poorly. After the second repair it took 1 day and something was wrong again. Took it in and they "fixed it". I think their may have been one additional time I had to take it in after that but cannot recall. 1 month later my engine over heats and I am stranded on the side of the road. Turns out one of the hoses they put back on, they did not put the clamp back on to keep the hose in place. NEVER take your vehicle to this place. They should close their doors and stop servicing cars, they clearly do not know what they are doing. read more

Being 1000 miles from home and having mechanical issues is problematic. Researched repair options and ended up at Oxford after another garage was unable to repair our vehicle. Although the expense was much more than I wanted I felt our best option was to repair. Ben assured me the repair was worth it as our truck was in overall good condition. He was right as it returned us home without incident and remains reliable transportation. You really never know what you may get with auto repair shops, especially when traveling. Awesome Customer Service On my way into work, while driving on the highway at about 70 miles per hour, my check engine light came on and then my car suddenly slowed down to about 50 miles per hour. This was a little scary, because at the time, I was in the fast lane and had to make a quick lane change to the slow lane. I was unable to go any faster than 55 to 60 miles per hour. The dash message said, Engine Power is Reduced! The accelerator would not allow me to drive over 60, so I took my time to arrive to work safely. I have a bit of a commute; I drive approximately 70 miles a day to and from work.   I call around to find out who may be able to help me with the problem and I was referred to Oxford Automotive. I spoke with both the Powell and Delaware offices and both were so very helpful and reassuring! I was hesitant to have to drive my car all the way back home, not really knowing what the problem was. Ben at the Powell location promptly connected me to the Delaware location to speak with someone. The whole process was such an easy and positive experience. I didn't need to drive my car all the way home or even to drop it off, Oxford came to my work location and dropped of the rental car and picked up my car.   It was so nice to have peace of mind! I received a phone call within 48 hours to find out the issue and the cost was so reasonable! From the time of the incident to my car repairs was less than  2 days and I had no headaches, excess fees, or charges for towing. Since I work closest to the Delaware location, that is who fixed my car. My problem with my car (2008 Chevy Impala 140k miles) happen to be a sensor on the gas pedal that regulates the throttle. This was replaced and my car is running better than before! I appreciate the kindness and help to get back on the road safely! Good things first. I have had several repairs done at the Oxford located in Powell. The work is always good quality and completed in a timely mannner. The problem is with their estimates and billing. My most recent visit involved a surprise $99 inspection fee which I was only made aware of AFTER they had taken possession of my car. Then came the estimate. Alpha, the service advisor, gave me an estimate of $793, plus a possible additional $600. I declined the work, paid the reduced (because I questioned why I was not informed of it upfront) inspection fee of $79 and asked for my car. Before I received my keys, another employee, Ben, called me over. Ben offered to A) waive the inspection fee altogether, and B) do the repair using aftermarket parts instead of OEM parts. The new estimate was $445, plus a possible additional $200, a whopping 50% LESS. Alpha had never mentioned this possibility. I pointed that out to Ben, declined, and asked that my $79 fee be returrned as Ben had promised. He declined, saying that he had planned to deduct it from my bill IF I had the repairs done there. Again, no mention of that upfront. This was not the first time I had questions about a final invoice. Promised discounts seem to never show up on the final invoice. The explanation I have received from Alpha in the past is that the discounts are "built into" the original estimate. This place is just a little too shady for me. I won't be returning. read more

Repair Pal estimate to replace windshield washer fluid pump on a 2014 Ford Mustang $104-$122. Oxford billed $286.19 and no breakdown of cost on the bill. I had to call to find out they added an $150 "level 1" diagnostic fee and yet provide no diagnostic report. $150 is the "level 1" diagnostic fee? A "level 1" diagnostic fee should be more inline with the national average of $82.50. It is Understandable if it were an engine or transmission problem but it is excessive to trouble shoot a $26.99 washer fluid pump from NAPA that honestly any half decent mechanic could trouble shoot if they would let them. But why do that when you can "claim" to have done a diagnostic check. They do not employee mechanics only diagnostic sales technicians. So no matter how simple your repair you won't walk away without paying less than $150 because they are going to charge a diagnostic fee regardless of what your automotive issue is. read more

We bring all our cars post manufacturers warranty to Oxford. They are super easy to work with and always accommodate us with urgent issues. We have them perform basic maintenance as well as new purchase inspections on used cars. To date I have more pleased with their work and service than any other shop we have been to and prefer them by far over the dealership shops. read more

Very excited for him when he took the risk to open his Powell shop as it is hard to duplicate a culture being one person. Great service and a loaner car! I had my Volvo XC90 in for a few repairs, Zach was so helpful and they provided great info to me to make good decisions. I used their borrow a cruiser for a flat $39 fee so I wasn't inconvenienced. Then I found out they pick-up and they deliver, so I had them deliver my XC90 back to me-no extra fee! I loved the charm and feel of their shop as well...very clean and pleasant to visit. I'm glad to have a new partner for auto repair. read more

Had some work done here on my wife's car... Very good, very reasonable! Awesome to deal with! -2016 Fast forward to 2019... I had a Mazda that the dealership had written off the engine after the water pump failed. Oxford were able to ascertain that the engine was OK and could be salvaged (even gave it a 3year 36K waranty!. They did a great job cleaning the engine internally and did great preventative maintenance on it! Even found some things that the dealer missed on the recent 120K service! It's like having a new car without the car payment! Can't sing these folks praises high enough! read more

I challenge you to go to a large corporate garage and find technicians that have more tenure, training, and experience as theirs...a great billboard for treating their employees right. I made an appointment for an oil change a week in advance for 2pm at the Powell location. I was notified by text at 9:30am that I had missed my drop off window and would have reschedule. When I called and explained that I had a 2pm appointment scheduled they apologized for not scheduling me correctly but they could not get me in now today. I drive my car for work and need to manage oil changes very closely to not damage my vehicle but also not exceed my allowance covered by my company for the year. I guess I'll have to find another shop for my 5-6 oil changes a year. Poor customer service, if you make a mistake you should make it right. read more

We are extremely impressed with Oxford Automotive in Powell! It was our first experience with them and we were on a very tight deadline. We were able to schedule a same day pre-purchase inspection on a used vehicle and repairs just two days later, which helped us tremendously! While this is not Oxford Automotive's typical turnaround time, we appreciated their dedication to making it happen. The pre-purchase inspection result was thorough and included a list of "needs immediate attention" repairs, "needs future attention" repairs, and pictures of those areas needing repairs. It also included the names of our Service Advisor, Joey, and Technician, Royce. Once the inspection was complete and the vehicle was ready for pick up, Joey sat down with me to talk through the inspection result. He clearly explained the recommended repairs, answered a series of questions, and provided an estimate. Once the vehicle was purchased, the repair estimate approved, and the repairs scheduled, the work was completed at the time promised. Joey provided exceptional customer service, in person, via phone, via email, and via text. He provided status updates and clear communication throughout the process. Working with my daughter to get her car repaired and their estimate was $5,000. Reported the same to a first class auto repair shop in Tipp City, Ohio, and the same repair was quoted as $1500. I am suspicious of their perfect rating. It appears they erase their mistakes. read more

Zach and Ben are always willing to help and troubleshoot any problem and they are great at keeping you updated throughout the process of repairs on your vehicle.
