I bought a vehicle from this dealership right after returning from my overseas tour. When I took it to an independent shop, they confirmed (using dye) that the engine was leaking oil. The repair cost was $3,800. Under Arizona's Consumer Fraud Act, a dealer cannot sell a vehicle with undisclosed defects or misrepresent its condition. I tried resolving the issue with them, but their little mechanic supervisor, (Jose) was rude and dismissive and tried to deny the leak because of his visual inspection. Because of how this was handled, I plan to speak with Davis-Monthan's JAG and the legal office this week to determine whether this dealership should be blacklisted. If you're considering buying a vehicle here, get it inspected by a trusted mechanic before signing anything. Avoid their unnecessary add‑ons like the AVAS system and the RED brake light package. I've bought several used vehicles in Tucson, and this has been the worst experience in terms of customer service and trust. Quebedeaux is solid (though more expensive) and Gotham Motors on Speedway (Family owned) has always treated me fairly. I should have stayed with them instead of going to Chapman on Speedway. I'm seriously considering legal action against them for knowingly selling a vehicle with a dangerous defect and lying about it. read more

For buyers to beware! We bought a vehicle from them had it less than two months when we first bought the vehicle lights were on we had issues and safety issues with the vehicle told them I didn't want to take it needed it fixed before I drove off the lot. A technician came over and just reset lights on it when we left just a few hours later; Lights came back on. They argued and did nothing for it. I still have safety issues and now major issues with my vehicle still, I'm still within my warranty. They refuse to do anything to fix The vehicle or help I had been very understanding very open communication and flexible with willingness to their schedule to fix it. Very sad that the courtesy was not relayed back and I'm still stuck with a vehicle that has safety issues and major mechanical issues so please be aware don't get yourself a lemon off this lot read more

Chapman Speedway is full of crooks. They sold my daughter a lemon. Within the first week 2 tires popped after the sales man assured me they were good tires. The second week the engine completely broke down and we are currently paying for a new engine while we pay car payments, with no car to drive. This is after they forced her to pay for add-ons we adamantly said she did not want. This placed lied about so many things I can't even count them. Then when I file a complaint with the better business bureau, the finance manager called to intimidate my daughter saying we don't take complaints lightly. I hate this place! I wish we never went there. Their biggest lie..."the deal has to be that way for the loan to get approved" A COMPLETE LIE! read more

Not even one day In Tucson and my bumper was ripped off. Removing it from the trailer. I went to my insurance company appraisal and with 30 minutes I was getting prepped for work on my car. The associates were exceptional she was all o er my baby getting things done, bom. I am replacing a bumper. So to have it dropped off, painted, and ready to go by 5pm. I am so excited to get it fixed. Body shop is on site so is a rental car company. I hope my first experience will be the same when I pick it up. read more

Buying a car is such a lengthy process, like seriously, every time, no matter where, 4 hours at least. I'm pretty sure it took 4 hours, from test drive to drive home, from this Chapman. And having two kids with me, I barely survived lol. But honestly, I do not regret it or have any hard feelings. The salesman Diego whom I worked with was polite and attentive, and made sure the concerns I had were addressed. Manny, the service manager, went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with my purchase. The woman in the finance department, Virginia, was empathetic and kind, and made sure to work as quickly as possible to get me and my girls headed home! We really had a great car buying experience! We dealt with Frank he was very pleasant, and Alex the sales, and Freddy. All of them went above and beyond to help stay within our price range. Not only do they have a crappy inventory, UZI (the incompetent car salesman) had AUDACITY to tell me that because I don't have "good" credit that all I qualify for is a beat up, dented, scratched, Nissan, AND that I'm in no position to negotiate prices. Then had the gall to tell me that the bank is the one telling him that he also needs to hike the price up an extra $2000! I'm not new buying cars, so I know a lot of what goes on behind the scenes. And this guy, Uzi, has no idea what he's doing. I've never been so pissed about something until I came here. I purchased a vehicle from Alex at Chapman used cars on December 3. Alex was a great sales person and had no issues with him. I dealt with Frank in finance and he is a bitter unhappy person. He kept trying to sell me a warrantee and other extras that I did not want, every time I told him no he got more and more upset. I did purchase gap insurance, which she said I could cancel at any time and when I called him a month later to cancel he would not return my call. I finally went down on Friday to cancel it and when I went to his office to talk to him he ordered me out and told me to sit down and wait for him. I told him that he's rude and he cannot talk to me like that and I talk to the manager and had someone else cancel the policy for me. If you do a Chapman used cars do not have Frank help you asked for Virginia. She help me cancel my policy and was very apologetic. I have heard from other people that Frank is very rude and aggressive and I totally agree. The manager of Chapman used cars should've done more to correct the situation. read more

I purchased a car a few days ago, and everything was pretty good until 4 hours after I had it, whereupon it began to smoke. Then totally die out. The response to my valid concerns (having to drift into a parking lot, and then walking home 3 miles in the middle of the night. Also, missing a few hours from work to make sure it gets towed to be looked at.) is an attitude of "look, tough cookie my man. Stuff happens, deal with it." I'm not what you would call rich, but as a customer I expect, and deserve, to be treated with respect and dignity. So definitely go to Chapman if you don't mind being treated indignantly while agreeing to pay your hard earned money on something that's going to die out on you moments from leaving the lot. It's just unfortunate and pathetic that companies think it's ok to operate this way. read more

Sales manager (Will) was very rude when telling me why a car with a $4300 fair market blue book is worth $7000. When I told him the bank wouldn't approve it he interrupted me and told me "This is my job I think I'm more well versed in this than you." He told the bank would pay 150% if fair market value so they would cover it, if you do the math that's closer to 170% before tax and dock fee. I'm a practicing professional mechanic for the last six years, I know a few things about cars, including inspection and evaluation for pre~purchase consultation. So if you're not into grossly over paying while being treated like a moron, you're best off somewhere else. read more

Chapman did an outstanding job of helping my family trade in our old cars and purchase a nearly new car. I would recommend Chapman for any car purchase since they worked so hard to take care of us as repeat customers. They are now my first choice when it comes to buying cars in Arizona. Since my husband has become his own boss we needed to cut some family expenses, and one big area was in the way of Automobiles. Since he is working from home, we felt we didn't need three cars and decided to trade in the two most expensive ones, the 06 Mercedes and the 2011 Audi, for one car that would be less expensive. After finding a few perspective cars online at other dealerships, I found that because they weren't Mercedes or Audi dealers, they could not give me my best value in trade in. When I went to Chapman, they worked really hard to give me the best possible trade in for the two cards and were they only place where I came out ahead of the game for the purchase of the new car. We bought both the Mercedes and the Audi from them, so they worked very hard for us and definitely gave us a great deal. They also worked very hard to show me a variety of cars across their city wide inventory. I originally stopped by the location on 22nd with Honda and Audi stores because I wanted to look at Accords and get a trade in on the Audi, but we ended up coming over to the Speedway store because they had the most inventory in my price range. There they worked very hard to help me find the right car. We drove home a really nice, nearly new Jetta last night. After looking at several cars that one was the best fit for us. It has a surprisingly roomy interior and trunk, and I really liked the way it drove. We are very pleased with our experience at Chapman. read more

My biggest complaint is that they're hard to find on yelp. They were absolutely amazing. It was easy to get scheduled. The team was quick, knowledgeable, polite, personable, and prompt. Getting in an accident is not fun or good under any circumstances. However, this team made it incredibly easy to get the estimate, repairs, rental, and answers to all my follow up questions. My life is busy. So, I depend on service like this to keep things rolling. This team knows what they're doing. read more

I recently used Chapman for auto body repairs, based on the fact that Geico and them are partnered. What an awful experience. Upon retrieval of my car after the work had been done I found out that my antenna was non functional (repair was on the roof). I had to take it back and they discovered that it was damaged at some point during their repair. Four days later, they replaced it. During the wait time until they got the antenna in I suspected a shoddy job. I went over my car with a fine tooth comb and discovered poor workmanship and quality all around. Dirt in the new clear coat, over spray on the door trim pieces, dirt or grease marks on my headliner and I realized that two trim pieces included in the original claim weren't repaired or replaced at all. The day that they replaced the antenna I pointed these issues out and the shop guy said he'd address the over spray. He took the car back and 10 minuets later he brought it back sans (most) of the over spray. Yet to remove it they used some scraping tool. So now rather than over spray, the trim has a dozen or so scratches. There may or may not be a resolution in my favor with the way things are going... Do not, under any circumstance take your car into Chapman for body repairs. They're incompetent. read more
