I was told that they would not answer Q2 and Q3 that I would have to hire a 3rd party mechanic to come to their site to do an inspection and report. I believe this is a lame response as a $40K car the dealership should have already done Q2 and Q3 as a reasonable effort to legitimate questions a buyer would have. The end of Feburary I filled out the online application and got a call back. I was told I was assigned to Mario, and he'd be giving me a call when "he came in later"(it was already 1030am). I never got a call, so I called back the next day, expressing my desire to quickly see if financing could be done. I said I wanted to minimize my time at the dealership and wanted to work credit out virtually and then just come down and sign documents, pay money, pick up the vehicle, ect. I was told that was not possible, they won't run credit unless I'm physically there. The dealership is far from me, so at the time I was unwilling to go. Later that week, my girlfriend, hearing my experience decided to call. She asked if she could do the whole application virtually and the lady she spoke with told her yes, that was no problem, and said to go online. Weird, right? At this point we are going on 3-4 days no contact from Mario. I was in the area this past Saturday on the 1st and decided to stop by. I met Mario in person and he was nice, albeit a bit standoffish and awkward. We completed the credit application. I expressed that I was told he'd call me, and he didn't apologize or even acknowledge my complaint. He asked for a cosigner so I told him my girlfriend was willing. He said if I gave her his number, he'd text her the link. He offered to text it to me, but I said he can just text her. I provided the number. He said Monday to call him so he can review her info. She never got the text. I called Monday and spoke to Mario. He said he thought I was having her go online(which wasn't accurate). Frustrated, but wanting to do a deal, I let this go. He sent the link and she completed it immediately. He called her and told her he would attach her application to mine and start working on it and it would take a couple hours. Mind you this is the FIRST TIME he called anything related to my application. And it wasn't me he called. Again, weird. He texted me and told me he'd call in an hour or two. This was around 1030ish am Monday 3/2. 1240 no call. 130 no call. At 317pm Monday I texted, "any update?" Nothing. Tuesday(yesterday), I called in the morning. I was told Mario wasn't coming in that day. I asked fir an update. The man who answered, Adrian? I believe, told me he wouldn't have any info since "Mario was assigned". He took my number and said he'd check. I was muted for 30 seconds then hung up on. Okay. Now today, after still nothing, I called at about 12:15pm. I was answered by Andrew. Asked to speak to Mario. AS I TYPE THIS, I have been on hold for 19:33 with no sign anyone cares that I'm holding. Finally at 19:47 Mario answers, this time he does apologize, but states that Monday was very busy and they were shortstaffed Monday and today and he was off yesterday so he wasn't able to get back to me. He put me on another hold while he found a finance manager to see where we were at. I'm writing this review live as it's happening. We're now over 6 minutes on hold. 27:57 total time. Mind you, I am not upset at a bad deal or too much down, or anything of the sort. I just want some form of answer. Even a "no" is fine, just don't leave me in the wind like this, it's unprofessional and amateurish. Speaking of leaving me in the wind, 30:09 total time. 9+ minutes on hold. 30:39 Mario returns. He says he is "working on it now" and it'll be 15-30 minutes to get an exception to process the loan and get terms. He says I have a "good chance" and they just need to get that exception. He says and I quote "full transperancy, I'll let you know any updates soon as I know", and reiterated he'd call in 15-30 minutes. Do you want to guess if I got a call in that half hour? Of course I didn't. Now it's Thursday 426pm, they ran my girlfriend's credit and my own a THIRD time with no contact, no update, no info, no yes, no no, NOTHING. I don't know if The Car Lot just is like this in general, or is it just the fact Mario is incompetent and bad at his job, but either way this process has been needlessly frustrating, devoid of professionalism, customer service, adult communication, and reliability. If you do need to call these people, request at least to be reassigned if you get Mario. He is seemingly wholly atrocious at basic adult skills, mainly basic communication and realizing the importance of keeping one's word. But overall, do not go here. In 2024, I purchased a 2019 Hyundai Kona from Car Lot. I have purchased four vehicles from this dealer since 2023-2026. Of those four vehicles, three have experienced problems, and two of them had severe transmission problems. On July 20, my Hyundai Kona broke down. I filed a claim with the extended warranty company for the warranty that the dealer added to my loan without asking me. The information provided by the dealer is that their vehicles include an extended warranty and that if anything happens to the vehicle, it is covered and the customer only has to pay a $100 deductible. When I filed the claim, the warranty company denied it because they stated that the part that caused the transmission damage was not covered. After several attempts to get assistance from the dealer with the warranty claim, I left a negative review on the dealer's Facebook page. After I posted the review, they blocked my account. I then left a review on their official website. On Saturday, August 8, the manager, Bobby, called me. He told me that my review was affecting him because Tucson is a small city, and that if I removed my review, he would commit to paying for the repair of my vehicle. He told me that if I authorized him to pick up my vehicle from the Hyundai repair shop, he would take it to his mechanics and repair it for free. I told him that I did not want his mechanics repairing my vehicle because, based on my negative experience, I do not trust them. He then asked me where the vehicle was located. I told him it was at Jim Click. He told me that he has a good relationship with that company and instructed me to bring him my invoice, which he said he would pay. On Monday, August 10, Bobby called me again. He told me that the reason the warranty had not paid my claim was because they had made an error. He told me that he was going to provide an update to my warranty and that the updated warranty would cover the repair. He also told me that I would only have to pay the $100 deductible, as I had originally been promised at the time of the sale. The warranty was updated, but the warranty company again declined to pay the claim. The warranty company has now denied the claim three times, each time placing additional obstacles in the process. This delay has greatly affected the quality of life of both my family and me, as well as our jobs, because we only have one means of transportation. read more

Steer clear of this dealership if at all possible. Bunch of liars and crooks'. I deliberately waited two months before writing this review, and I am incredibly disappointed with this dealership. I explicitly discussed the vehicle's inspection with my sales associate before buying my vehicle, yet I have already had to spend over $8,000 on repairs just to make the vehicle safe to drive again. For example, within 24 hours of driving it off the lot, the check engine light came on. Toyota diagnosed it as a kinked vacuum line. Someone had lazily replaced the factory hose with cheap, straight tubing that wasn't pre-shaped, causing it to collapse. Toyota pulled the OBDII computer history, which proved this exact engine code had been triggered multiple times in the months prior to my purchase. The Car Lot absolutely knew this car had unresolved issues with the check engine light when they sold it to me, but never disclosed it. It gets worse. The radiator was completely damaged along with the underside of the car, including suspension and steering components. The certified Toyota dealership that performed the repairs showed me clear evidence that someone had poured "leak stop" into the system to temporarily mask an active leak long enough to sell the car. On top of masking major mechanical issues, they pull the exact extra fee scams other reviewers have warned about in their review. They forced a "window tint fee" onto my contract. When I inquired about removing the fee, they told me they had performed the work and needed to get paid. BS! I later found online pictures of this exact vehicle from before this lot ever owned it through a VIN search, proving the tint was already installed. They are charging hundreds for work they never did. Do not trust their verbal assurances. Get an independent pre-purchase inspection and audit every single line item. Shop dropped the tranny and opened it up to see cracks and holes in the aluminum bellhousing. Looks like somebody JB welded it, slapped some non-factory red RTV on the sealing surfaces and dumped it ASAP. $8000 repair and he's only driven it 500 miles. First of all, absolutely do not buy a car from here. Unfortunately, this is an amateur business. If you don't want to be ripped off, stay away. I bought a 2019 Honda Accord Hybrid from them, and I also got GAP insurance and a mechanical warranty. The people selling these warranties were Eric, the sales representative, and EJ, the finance manager. They told me that if I bought the warranty, I wouldn't have to pay for repairs if a problem arose with the car. They were so sure of this lie that I unfortunately bought the car from them. A week later, the car started showing warning lights, overheating, and engine lights. I contacted them, and the people who sold me the car played the "three monkeys" game (see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil). The car they sold me had a blown head gasket and was leaking antifreeze, and the warranty they offered couldn't fix the engine. I spent $10,000 to have a new engine installed. Moreover, I contacted this business seven times to get a refund for the warranty, and they only refunded it after six months. Definitely stay away from these scammers. We called the sales guy and asked for permission to take it to a certified mechanic to put it on a lift and get a thorough inspection of the vehicle. He told us that we could absolutely do that so we set up a time to go do this.. We made an appointment at the car lot and we made an appointment with the mechanic that we trusted.. unfortunately, when we arrived at the car lot, they wouldn't let us take the vehicle to the mechanic without coming up with a "drive out price". I told him I had no idea what that price would be until I had the car inspected just as I had communicated over the phone.. He went and talked to the manager and they refuse to allow us to get the car inspected. So, we walked out. Bought this car not even 10 months ago and have had nothing but issues since the day after I brought it home. So much money wasted. When you call them they will give you attitude because you are upset and tell you there is nothing they can do. This vehicle is only a 2022. Went in looking at car The salesman sat me in office pulled up their website and said I could look on the computer at what they have...well shit I could have done that at home. I found a car listed as 5500 dollars I just need something for now and could pay it outright. Then all Of sudden there is a 1700 dollar up charge since I did not have a trade in. Then there were fees for tint(never asked them for that) and reconditioning of the car. So for and old car high mileage advertised for 5500 out the door with all their fees and yes tax and title was 10,000 dollars. I got up and walked out. He is a disabled vet and I am his guardian and Conservator and he wanted to drive for Uber (which is a whole other issue). He had no credit at 35 years of age because it was locked and somehow these con artists gave him a loan at 15% interest for 12,000.00 dollars on a car that has after market parts and is a Subaru. Basically they ripped him off! I would not trust my self to see these people people in person because I might beat the crap out of them! They won't even return my calls because they are afraid of the reality of what they did. I am sure I have legal recourse, but my son is embarrassed and wanted me to leave it. Well if they would inspect the car before selling the car it might prevent problems. This review is regarding Paramount Auto but they own by the same people. FYI The Car Lot is owned by the same people. I bought a 2015 Honda Odyssey on July 1. Today is July 24 I have had the car for partial amount time of 6 days. The rest of the time they have had It in their "shop" which it is even questionable if there is a shop. The AC wasn't working day 1. They said they fixed it 5 times and always said it was working. The last time it went in they finally gave me a replacement car to drive while they fixed it again. It's been over five days and the temporary plate on the replacement car has expired. They said at the time of purchase that they would give me 30 days to bring it back to take care of any problems. I'm going to guess that they don't mean 30 days of me having the car in my possession. They swear to having the best mechanics in the city. I don't think that's possible if they can't fix AC in Tucson and they have had the car for almost 20 days in the shop!I DO NOT recommend purchasing a car from Paramount Auto Sales or the Car Lot. If I ever get the car back and it's working for more than 10 minutes I might consider changing this review. I got the car back Friday July 26 the car still blew hot air. When we left they asked if I would change my review now! They swore that they put $2000 of parts into it and it still doesn't work. I took the car to BigO to have them check the AC checked. They did $300 of work on the car and the AC is working for the first time in a month of owning the car. I went back to a Paramount and asked them to pay me this $300. The said they fixed it and it was working. They said they did the same work that BigO did. Even if they have the best mechanics they couldn't fix it. I asked to see the work orders for the $2000 of work they did and they wouldn't give it to me. All they want is good reviews online. They don't care if the cars work. Big O said the cabin filter needed to be changed. Paramount didn't even do that before selling the car. They asked me to leave instead of the opportunity for me making the review better by refunding the cost for me to fix the car. I recently put a $200 deposit on a vehicle offered for sale at The Car Lot in Tucson, Arizona. (thecarlots.com) (2014 Honda Civic Si. VIN: 2HGFB6E52FH707361). The dealership is advertising the vehicle as having a new clutch but the Car Fax does not reflect this anywhere. The vehicle had numerous mechanical problems not addressed in advertisement or during my inquiries. Additionally, The Car Lot is offering a Hyundai Velosetor (VIN: KMHTC6AD1GU285640) with a Car Fax showing no accidents. The front driver side quarter panel is being held on by rivets, the grill and fog light housings are completely separated, there is obvious damage to the front bumper from striking something, and the steering pulls very hard to the right. The Velosetor pictured for sale on The Car Lot website is not the vehicle being sold (photo shows grey but car is black). I was unable to purchase a vehicle at The Car Lot because nothing offered to me for sale matched either maintenance records, advertisement from The Car Lot website, or met my price point/needs. Despite being told by Salesman Marco that my deposit would be refunded or put towards the purchase of a vehicle, my deposit was not refunded. The Car Lot did not provide me with a copy of a deposit agreement signed by anyone at the dealership or a witness. When I requested my deposit to be refunded I was told it would not be. read more
