I was able to buy 6 or 7 hard cover children's books for $10. They accept Zelle if you don't have cash! The main library is on the second floor. They have a spacious children's section with some seating. Employees were quick to ask if I needed help. They have a monthly calendar of events with something scheduled just about every day. In order to get a library card, you have to be a resident of the specific town or city where the library is located. So in this case, you have to live in Eastchester to get a card here. However, once you have a library card for a Westchester library, you can use it in any library in the county.

Also upstairs is an audio area to listen to vinyl (and extensive collection of vinyls). Lots of outlets in each workspace area. Very clean, plenty of windows for natural light. The bottom floor has a cafe with a lot of food options. You can only eat in the cafe area, but the options are so diverse (sandwiches, pizza, nuggets, small frittatas) and coffee is very cheap as well. Even the cafe area has a section of outlets. Multiple self check-out desks, both on bottom floor near the cafe and on the main floor. Also several help desk stations (bottom floor, two on main floor, and on top floor). My happy place. Any resident with a library card from a count library can access the holdings of any county library. I tend to be a bit claustrophobic; therefore, the cramped quarters of this library did not help me enjoy a relaxing browse of it's holdings. I must confess that it's audio book collection looked a little more robust than I would expect for a small library like this one, but it's holdings were hard to systematically browse with a difficult to understand layout and order. The staff looked busy and probably did not have time to notice that I looked lost. My bias toward open spaces probably plays a little into a low rating. If cramped quarters does not bother you, you might want to consider giving this library three stars instead of two.

I believe this library was recently renovated and it shows! It feels clean and modern, with lots of…read morenatural light. It is quite spacious, with a dedicated tech room, quiet room, and a children's section with a special space for kids' programming. There are lots of floor to ceiling windows, which look out on pleasant views. Great seating options, with and without desks. They also have a cafe with hot and cold beverages and bakery items. They have signs throughout indicating what noise level should be maintained in various sections so you can find the right space for your needs. I came on a Wednesday around 11:30am and the parking lot was packed. I can see why! It's a great place to spend the day. They have an impressive calendar of events for the community and lots of educational resources.
