I really like this park. Upscale area, tons of free parking, seems safe, 4 restrooms, walking trails, playgrounds, athletic fields. Now those familiar with the restrooms at Irvine Parks--they are not as nice here but they do the job. I posted pictures. Like those stainless steel toilets (like prison cells.) All restrooms are gender neutral so just pick one of the four clusted together. We walked from here 2.5 miles (5 miles R/T) on paved trails all the way to the beach in front of the Ritz Carlton at Laguna. It was a great walk with hills. No restrooms along the way until you get to the beach. It's not obvious what direction to walk in to get to the beach but if you ask enough people and some trial and error you will get there and remember how to get back. If I had my way I would paint a red line with arrows the entire way. Definetely coming back here again. read more

This park is one of my favorites ! It's one of the newer ones in the area. It's clean + spacious. It has a soccer field and trails; also has basketball courts. The bathrooms are also pretty clean. There's usually parties on the weekends so weekends are hype here. Read the many good reviews & check it out ! :) read more

Park is clean and lots of safe equipment for children. Ants EVERYWHERE. Restrooms nowhere near play areas. Dogs off leash in playgrounds. read more

Great easy trail/walk from the park to Dana Point beach. It's a good 9 miles round trip. It's now my favorite trail.

While the park itself is not spectacular, it is the starting point for one of the best bike trails in Orange County (at least in my opinion) -- the Salt Creek Trail. We often will park in the lot then ride westward on the trail which connects to Salt Creek Beach (approx. 3.8 miles away). It's a hilly but scenic trail. If you have an ebike, it can make climbing the hills a lot easier and more enjoyable. We've seen quite a lot of wildlife on the trails near the park as well. This includes quails, tarantulas, and even a snake. read more

This used to be my favorite park. Truly beautiful area and amenities. If you haven't been, try it ... but it has seriously degraded over time. TRASH is usually EVERYWHERE in the kids park area. Large groups frequently convene with parents who don't supervise their children as they run around with packaged colored juices and other snacks, leaving the packages wherever they feel like as they finish the contents. I kept giving this park another chance, but the last 3 visits were nearly all the same. Trash all over the playground. Unsupervised kids running around with snacks tossing more trash on the ground. Sticky juice on the equipment. And parents who let it all continue. My four year old knows the difference. But these kids and parents don't. The trails, ball fields and astro turf areas look nice, but the playground has become disgusting. read more

I discovered this park by jogging in off the trail from Niguel! It leads you through a beautiful canyon and shoots you out right at the baseball fields. It's so green and there are plenty of areas to stop and take in the surroundings. The trail is big and paved with dirt along the side if you prefer it! I love how it wraps around leading you up to the neighborhood above so that you can run back looking down on it after having run through it. Will definitely be running this trail regularly! read more

Nothing too spectacular about this park, it provides your basic necessities. I do appreciate that there are certain amenities to keep you occupied and entertained such as full court basketball courts (unlit at night), a full soccer field, several softball fields, a decent play structure, and plenty of parking. However, what I would appreciate is more benches for people to enjoy as well as BBQ grills. To access the park by vehicle, you'll need to turn into a residential street off Golden Lantern past an elementary school on your left. read more

This park is pretty nice. There is a baseball field and a playground. My husband and I took the hike over the playground and it's short and sweet, but a nice little trail. Then there's a longer trail by the baseball field, which either circles around or you can go all the way to the beach in Dana Point. That trail was harder and longer and a lot of it was on the street. read more
