Food was not very good. My husband ordered the grape leaves and they tasted like they came out of a can. We both ordered the falafel wrap. The wrap was good however the falafel were greasy and had no flavor. I think they made them from a dry mix - definitely not home made. Prices were high - will not be going back. We tried this place for the first time since we work across the street . They have a lot of lamb on their menu which we are not fans of but that's ok . We order the beef shawarma because it wasn't lamb but as soon as i bit into it i tasted lamb . It was very gamy .my coworker and I were like this has to be lamb . It's gross . We ask that non personable waitress if we ordered lamb or beef and she said it's beef but cooked in lamb fat . Please if ur gonna do that put it in ur menu because u can taste the gamy lamb . We paid 45 dollars for lunch and it was gross . That's something you should have told us if we are ordering beef . The rude waitress just walked away and we were not even done talking to her . No we will not be going back . If you like lamb and gamy meat this place is for you but as a non lamb eater i thought it was gross . Went here after a workout and got the chicken shawarma wrap meal and it was much larger than I expected! Delicious too! The garlic sauce was surprisingly good (I usually don't do well with creamy sauces but this one wasn't heavy) the fries were hot and crispy and delicious! They even have a bar area with a lot of beer choices and I think some hard liquor. Seems like a good spot for an after work meal with a friend! I ordered at the counter then sat down to eat, but you can also ask for menus and sit down and order. Was nice to have the option. Everyone there was pleasant! Found this place based on the great reviews. Just flew into Phoenix from CA and wanted to have Mediterranean Food. Met the owner (Emmanuel) who was very friendly and welcoming. Ordered the lamb kabob which was super tender, flavorful, well seasoned, and delicious. It came with side of salad, rice, hummus, pita and tahini or garlic sauce. You can smell the delicious aroma from outside. When you walk in look to your right and you will see the bed of charcoals with the shawarmas cooking on spits. The food was fresh and generous. The mixed tikka plate was delicious, with the meats tender and juicy. It can take time; for instance they chop the touboulah ingredients after ordered. We plan to try many more dishes. Arabic-Mediterranean food served in a clean family-run looking restaurant. There's what appears to have been a cafeteria style counter along one side but it's not in use. Now a waiter comes to your table. The food appears to be Americanized, for instance tortilla chips are used instead of pita on quite a few dishes. And on the dishes that pita is included, you're only given one, and about one tablespoon of hummus. Otherwise I was very pleased with the place. The shawarma is cooked over a bed of fiery hot charcoals, the best way to make it! We ate chicken and beef shawarma served on saffron rice, with a small house salad and a tiny bit of hummus also on the plate, and one pita. Very good tasting! We also had a coleslaw which is Not your normal sweet coleslaw. This is house-made and includes yogurt and lots of garlic. Think of it as a garlic cabbage salad. It is wonderful! An absolute joy on my tongue. Last thing: be sure to order the house-made baklava. It's $5 for a 2" square but totally worth it. A sweet end to a great meal. Our bill was about $25 each. read more

We had the platter of hummus, baba ghanoush, tabouleh and salad (also four stuffed grape leaves. All was excellent, the tabouleh was especially fresh and delightful. We followed that with a mixed sharoma (sp?) (chicken and beef) with rice a little hummus. As others have mentioned the garlic yogurt is delicious. I had some ouzo Iraqi style with chilled water. This great neighborhood eatery is full of some carefully prepared and kindly served meals. The meats are so flavorful, using quality middle eastern style seasonings, and slow roasted directly over charcoal for the ultimate flavor enhancement. The salads are incredibly fresh, and the fries (yes fries) are top notch. Definitely worth a stop if you are looking for fresh Shawarma or Kabobs. We love this restaurant! As in previous reviews I have shared, this non chain, local restaurant is amazing! Friendly service, fresh food, and reasonable prices. This is one of our favorite restaurants to take guests. We went last night with our niece, visiting from VA, our daughter and granddaughter. Everyone loved their food choices. We had the chicken tikka platter, lamb platter, beef shawarma platter, and beef kabob platter. The salad was so fresh, and the meats cooked to perfection. Some people had fries and some had rice, neither is a wrong choice! We ended with a few baklava and a scoop of ice cream. Everyone was comfortably full when we left, and I know the leftovers I brought home will taste just as good as yesterday!
