Seriously confused how this place has so many "good reviews" like are the owners/family members posting them? First let's start with the cheese sticks, now I may be the jerk for thinking that cheese sticks were fried. Definitely microwave. Not crispy and the cheese was barely warm. Barley could get the cheese apart from the bite. Now I would whole heartedly like to assume that maybe they ran out of their normal cheese sticks and had to run to grocery store and buy some quickly. However, when you get to the gyro... how do you have extremely dry meat and yet the pita is dripping with grease? Barely any tzatziki sauce so I cannot give a review on this. Honestly it just seemed like everything was from the grocery store.... Now for people who are saying it is clean... every table was dirty and the floors... what?! There is no way that was something that happened over the past month from some of the reviews. Disappointing at best. Including the soda machine. As someone who loves Mediterranean food and has just moved to the area, this was such a let down from all of the amazing reviews. Service was fast and friendly literally the only good thing.

The food is good, tasty, and flavorful. Soup comes out hot. The service and ambiance...not so much. A friend and I came to dine on a Monday evening. We ordered and they were accommodating when I asked for a modification. We indicated we were dining in but the food took a long time and came out in to go packing. Then they forgot my soup until much later. Maybe I came on the wrong day. I got the sense that this place does better with to go/take out rather than dining in. The tables were plain and had nothing on them. More napkins would've been nice. You have to ask for a key to use the restroom. The main menu is hidden behind the register so it wasn't visible when I walked in. This place seems great for locals nearby but for me, I'd give this place a pass and go somewhere else.

It's a great place for a gyro and other Mediterranean delights. They also have smashburgers, Philly cheesesteaks , and wings. They have daily specials try the Shako Mako combo, a combination of gyros and chicken kabobs for $10.99 Mon-Fri 1pm to 5pm.

Local mom & pop shop-check their schedule to make sure their open. Good portion sizes for the price & friendly service.

Hands down the best rice bowl I've had haha! It was pretty good , I loved the tiki sauce. I'm sure it's called that but the chicken was grilled perfectly. I got the chicken kabob bowl

Traveled from Hawaii for a conference and had an amazing meal. Owner was beyond welcoming/friendly. First review on yelp. Highly recommend.

    Chicken shawarma pita

Unassuming Mediterranean restaurant located in shopping center. Menu board above the register. That menus has more traditional items. Additional menu items are posted on the window next to the drink refrigerator. These are mostly sandwiches, burgers and sides. Specials may be seen from the front window as guests approach. Portions on the gyro plate are large. Flavorful rice was topped with gyro meat. Meat was not dried out. Another compartment had a small salad. Vegetables in the salad were fresh. Pita bread was lovely. Bread was pillow soft inside with a bit of a chew. Taziki had a slight tang to it. Hummus was the only part of the plate I did not particularly care for. It was more chunky than I prefer. My husband had the chicken shawarma pita. Chicken and vegetables were wrapped in a pita. Chicken was well seasoned and tender. Vegetables were fresh. Indoor and outdoor seating are available. Inside has a large TV. At the time of our visit, sports were on the TV. I like that the outdoor seating is along the side of the building. It feels less like being in a strip mall.

I was brought here a few weeks ago for what I was told was "hands down the best gyro in the Valley". I went with it and ordered a gyro. I've got to admit, the flavor, the fact that it was lamb, even the lady who worked there all made it an even more stellar experience. The gyro was the best I'd had to date in the valley. Fast forward to just the other day, I wanted another one. We were heading out that way anyhow... I went away from what I had previously had from them and decided to order the falafel. The person who recommended, also steered away from their usual and went with the Shawarma. Unfortunately, we both tasted that the gyro is the go to for us here. My falafel wasn't awful, but it didn't wow me the same way the gyro did. The falafel balls were huge, making it challenging to eat but rather than pickles (which I find traditional "for me") it had cucumber and I just felt it didn't marry it all very well together. I will definitely head back for another gyro, though, I'll stick to those from now on, for me personally.

Excellent food in a tucked away spot next to a pizza place. I recommend trying this food out. Outside seating area needs a little upgrade. Inside seating is available too. They serve beer, soft drinks and water. I found them on Groupon. I am glad I decided to try them out. Great lunch for a reasonable price.

When we arrived, we were told the wait was one hour and decided to go to the bar to start. BEST DECISION EVER! The absolute best service ever! Marissa and the other bartender (I didn't get her name, but sweet and awesome!) They took such good care of us, we will definitely come back next year. Menu recommendations: the beer battered cheese curds, brownie and creme brûlée deserts. The entrees and drinks we ordered were off a seasonal menu, but I'm sure the regular menu is similarly great. Make sure you get the cheese curds though! Chef's kiss

Downstairs host was nice, asked if we wanted to eat upstairs or down. We decided upstairs. They just told us to head up and talk with the host. We went up. Someone from the bar did shout hi! There was no host seen. There was a handful of workers chatting at the bar even the downstairs host came up and walked by us to join the group chatting. Upstairs had 2 tables of 6-10 people, a handful of small parties outside. We stood there for 4-5 minutes before someone in a St. Patrick's day outfit running food said someone would be with us shortly. Waited another few minutes before the host emerged from the bathroom and sat us. Both my husband and I waited tables and I bartended before (10 years experience). We have a lot of patience and understanding. We were sat and not immediately greeted but a woman came up and quickly dropped water off. Her body language was dismissive and only said just "dropping off water". I really thought it might have been another host or busser, that was tired of getting mistaken for a sever. I brushed it off. We waited so much longer before our server (happened to be the same girl that dropped off the water) came back to take our drink order. She was cold and didn't make eye contact. She was very short with us. Left to put the drink order in. She did bring the kids their soft drinks, but again with an attitude. It was as if we were ruining her day by coming in. 10 min went by. In that time, we saw her walk by and again avoid eye contact. Not even a "your bar drinks are being made", or "I am just going to run these dishes back and come back to take your order. " A really nice bartender came back and started talking with us about baseball because we were coming from a spring training game. After waiting longer and still no sign our server was going to come back in a timely manner, I told my husband, that I would rather leave now and not let this server ruin our experience. There are plenty of places around that I would rather give my money too and they will treat us better. We left, on our way out we did let a manager know. They did apologized and asked where we were sitting. Two stars for the nice female bartender that was decked out in St. Patrick's day attire upstairs. Rating is strictly for service because we didn't get to try anything. I am willing to give this place another try. I will update my review if we do.

We located this Location based on one of my YELP friends that I've been following for years as she really loves Aftermath. On this occasion, we were lucky enough that they had live music. The musician was fantastic and just really talented. We ended up sitting in a nice cozy booth where we could stretch out and feel comfortable and relax. For drink drinks we ordered the old-fashioned and also the big easy. We both enjoyed our drinks and moved on to ordering Andre's. My husband ordered the aftermath burger and I ordered the meatloaf. All in all, we were really happy with our selections and actually ended up getting a second round of cocktails as they were really delicious. For this round of transition to the Cabernet red wine, which is Dauo Wines and it was really tasty. We'll definitely be back, hope that this musician continues to play live music. The drink or music on Sunday night, really made it a fun date night experience.

It has a lovely ambiance, the food is good, and while we had a few issues with our food, the service was delightful. We also found some fun offers when booking through OpenTable. We arrived to Aftermath for an evening reservation on a Saturday night that we made through OpenTable. The parking spots in front were taken so we drove around to the back where there was plenty of parking. We found a parking spot right by the back door to the restaurant, which we had to pull to open (though that was easy to do). We then walked to the host stand and were seating right upon arrival. Our server Allyn was wonderful! She answered our many questions, gave some great recommendations, and made us feel right at home. We started out by ordering a cocktail and wanted something fruity, sweet, and made with vodka, and while nothing on the menu fit this request, we had Allyn work with the bartender to create a "Bartender's Choice" drink, which turned out to be a Blackberry Mint. It was exactly what we were hoping for. We then ordered Rigatoni Alla Vodka for my wife (consisting of imported rigatoni, Calabrian chili vodka sauce, parmesan, and basil) and an Aftermath Burger for me (consisting of 2 Arizona grass fed blend patties, velveeta, red onion, house pickles, toasted onion Kona bun, and Aftermath burger sauce with fries). We learned that the Rigatoni Alla Vodka has a spiciness level of 2 out of 5, though Allyn put in a request for my wife to get it at a 1 out of 5, and it was perfect. Our only issue is that when my dish arrived, the fries were actually cold and the burgers were barely lukewarm. It was busy at that time in the restaurant, and once I got the attention of someone to assist, they quickly brought out a replacement burger, which was delicious. The fries tasted almost as if they were nuked in a microwave, but they were still a good complement to the burger. Learn more about Aftermath at https://aftermathphoenix.com. They are open for lunch daily from 11-3 except for Friday and Saturday when they are open from 10-3. They are open daily for dinner from 4-10 PM. They have daily happy hour from 4-6 PM and live music every Sunday from 7-9 PM. Open Table also offers specials. The first time you book Aftermath through Open Table, you can get a drink for only a penny. After several visits, you then earn a free appetizer or dessert, and after several more visits, you earn a free burger. While we had the issue with the burger and fries temperature, Aftermath redeemed themselves by quickly replacing it, and otherwise, we had a very good experience. We do plan on visiting again in the near future.
