He spent 15 minutes or so with me and said he thought it was fine. He is very knowledgeable and it was really nice of him too stop work for a little bit and give me a bit of peace of mind aheae of my trip. I then made an appointment for an oil change, new tires and fork seals, and some brake work. Unlike many bike shops they make appointments, and will work on any bike of any age. Owner completed the work promptly and my bike rides as well as it ever has. I can't recommend this place enough.

When I finally brought my bike in for a routine inspection, oil change, and tune-up, the service went from mildly frustrating to completely unacceptable. Communication was practically nonexistent. Getting a simple status update felt like pulling teeth--calls went unanswered, and when I did get through, I was given vague or noncommittal answers. The worst part? The cost. I was given a quote, reviewed it, and approved the work based on that number. Two weeks later--after zero proactive updates--I went to pick up my bike and was handed a bill that was double the quoted price. Not slightly higher. Not due to a quick phone call to explain additional issues. Double. And at no point did anyone contact me to explain, get approval, or even give a heads-up that costs were increasing. That's not just poor customer service--that's a complete breakdown of basic business practices and trust. It's incredibly frustrating to see a shop that used to be reliable drop the ball so hard on communication, transparency, and accountability. Come to find out, the engine was dangerously low on oil. I walked in to the shop and explained my problem to the service department, and the gentleman there handed me a 5 qt. jug of oil that had about a quart and a half left in it, enough to get me home.
