A cool little community thrift shop, we stumbled across this store on a recent roadtrip through the…read morearea. It looks like an old public library or government services building that has been converted into the store. Plenty of street front parking and ramps everywhere. Its an interesting mix of women's, men's and kid's clothing, both household goods and collectibles, along with some small gadgets and electronics, and the usually books and music. We spent about an hour roaming through this shop and found several items along with some limited and out of print edition books. Prices are very reasonable to down right cheap by most thrift shop standards and we found that the items we scored where well worth the few dollars spent. This little store is volunteer staffed and runs short monday through friday hours (9 am to 4 pm daily), closed on the weekends. This shop has so many truly wonderful vintage things to choose from including crystal, china, and fabulous clothing from earlier times when REAL (fine cotton, silk, wool) fabric was used. Maggie, one of the proprietors, was really wonderful to work with. She helped all of us find the things we were looking for and wrapped them up beautifully. This place is a find!!!!! I'll ne back.

THE SETUP The thing that drew me into the deep recesses of displays and shelvings was the impressive collection of buttons. From cartoon characters to old electioneering campaigns from the last century, this store had quite the eclectic collection of buttons. OTHER ODDITIES From things that looked like severed heads to model cars, there was a lot of fun stuff. My partner-in-crime and I on this trip found some accessorized bracelets that were pretty fun to give to friends. THE LOWDOWN A great little stop in Jacksonville.
