Simple elegant designs, particularly in rings. The knowledgeable staff engages with their clients and seems to intuit their desires.

I've passed this Patina so many times traveling through St. Paul. I've have wanted to check it but…read moreparking is extremely difficult in this ever busy area. We were finally able to get around to checking it out & I LOVE that when you walk in it's so bright and colorful with a plethora of items. Makes me so happy. This location is 2 floors of shopping. We didn't get down to the basement but the main floor had enough going on for me. If you never been to Patina, they sell home decor, gifts and such. The store is pretty randomly organized but in a cool look at everything way. Like you can be looking at display that's different pink items, or Mn themed or food themed. It is on the expensive side but overall good quality stuff.

I have lived in the Twin Cities since 2000, and loved loved Patina when it opened. The last six years we have spent more time in Florida and I had not been in a Patina store all that time. Yes, it is beautiful colorful fun and everything is displayed so perfectly. But the price points have SOARED and the uniqueness/quirkiness/extra special FUN has dropped considerably. The cards are lovely but not outstanding. Text is minimal. The entire store is more monochromatic in terms of product designs/ concepts/unique creativity. The buyers are good but not excitingly wonderful anymore. There was no service at the St Paul Highland store. A tall gentleman was aloof, just "there" to check out... Sad.

Ok. A friend of a friend had a opening night photo exhibit here so I made this page, made a Yelp…read moreevent, all in the hopes of getting people to the show because the photos were that cool. And now a review of the space, because like the photos, this place is that cool and now, I have a better understanding of what it's all about, sort of. So the place has been open for about 5.5 months. A warm inviting storefront with the inside filled with local artist inspirations. Prices range from the Wow! That will look kick ass in my place (for the most frugal shopper) to Wow! That will look kick ass in my place! (for the person with some deep, pockets). Everything that's sold are one-of-a-kind pieces and are quite amazing. From paper mache' sculptures (definitely worth checking out) , New Zealand reclaimed wood tables, low temp fired ceramics, paintings with prices all over the spectrum and of course, photography and more. The cool thing though is that with the gallery owner, Nance, has space in the back which could be used for other events besides showings. Not big events, but smaller ones and obviously you would need to talk to her about what your trying to do but she came off as pretty cool and open to ideas. Nance has history of doing things in the city around the arts scene and if you've been to Macy's for their holiday display, you've seen her work. This part of West 7th (3-4 block area?) is really starting to pop and one could park in the middle and walk around, eat, drink, and shop their way to the different businesses and this place, is definitely worth a stop.

This is a gem of a place. I stopped to check out a show that displayed a local photographers work (Gorgeous stuff filled with depth and emotion!) The store has a stunning back room with tall painted ceilings that was perfect for an artist debut.
