Our tour guide, John was the best! He had encyclopedic knowledge of Charleston history and most all of the best eateries in Charleston! I would highly recommend this food tour.

It was an awesome experience! I never imagined that we could multitask making three dishes from scratch - especially biscuits - and get all the results ready to be consumed by the end of class. I would definitely recommend for anyone interested in southern cooking whether home chef and "not too familiar with cooking" chef. BTW - The hacks that you get from the cooking instructors are spot on!

I like food tours. It is said one learns more about a city through its food than anything else and I find I agree. The Charleston Culinary Tour was delightful. I elected to partake in the Downtown Charleston Culinary Tour that explored the French District and the Market District. Simon was great! He led us through pausing to interlace history in between delicious bites of food. It was through John that I learned the French District was never about a group of people living together, learned about the architecture and how they borrowed much from the Caribbean, and discovered the limits on building heights. This isn't a tour that is going to go to the very best of Charleston to dine - the very best doesn't need the exposure - but delightful fare was ever present. On top of it all was a chance to meet and socialize with people. It was a great day!

We were really excited about this tour as we've done a few in other various cities! For $85, we went to 3 restaurants and 1 dessert spot. We chose the upper king street tour in hopes of exploring some trendy new places. Our tour guide MiMi was great and suppppper knowledgeable about Charleston and the history of various foods! However, it was a bit disappointing as it didn't feel like a true culinary tour. There are so many amazing, eclectic spots on upper king and 2/3 of the spots left a lot to be desired. Would love to see things like The Pass, Bonny's, Indaco, Prohibition, etc. In other tours we've done we've gone to 6-7 spots so I was disappointed to hear we were only going to 3 spots. I would rather go to more places and get smaller samples from each.

On one of our many trips, we decided to take part in a culinary food tour and I am glad that we did. It was a great experience and being able to share with others and enjoy stories was priceless. The food was wonderful. There were 5 stops and even though we missed the 1st stop, we caught up and was happy we did. Each stop offered us their signature dishes along with depending on location, a cocktail. One of the places, Guy Fieri visited and that makes it even more of the place to be if you ask me. Be sure to mention when you make reservations to share with them if you have dietary restrictions so that the restaurants can try to accommodate you.Truly want to come back and go for a different tour.

Culinary tour is a fun thing to do in Charleston if you enjoy food with a bit of history. Good food, knowledgeable guide, Simon, plus minimal walking. Highly recommend!

They are funny and kind as well. My daughter was visiting from NYC to help me unload these reproductive boxes( feels like that anyway) and I decided to take her on a carriage tour. She was adamant that I investigate what company treats their horses the best., Here we landed! What a lovely place. The barn I mean. I so enjoyed hearing about the horses, their history and work schedules and requirements. Made us feel like we made a great decision. Dick ( Richard) and Dutch ( horse) were great! Very informative and loved hearing about the history and homes of Charleston. My kids were both born in North Charleston , but it's been a long journey to get back. It was really an exceptional tour and I felt completely safe and confident that these horses were treated beautifully. Do it! I didn't feel like anyone was sitting on my lap and I did like that even though they knew who lived in those crazy gorgeous homes, they did not divulge the names of their occupants., I could go again tomorrow. There are four different routes and it's by lottery which tour you go on , so you can really be a repeater!
