Our spirited group at our last stop!
Ashlea L.

This was the first activity planned when a group of us went down to Charleston this past weekend for a bachelorette party & it was easily my favorite thing we did!! Brent was awesome & from the moment we walked up I could tell from his laid back nature & sense of humor that we were going to have a blast. It was just the 7 gals from my group and another couple who we quickly bonded with over brews. The tour itself is super fun riding around in the shuttle to the different breweries, each different in a great way. Brent is very knowledgeable in the brews & the samples were on the heavy side for sure. I can't believe that this tour was as affordable as it was! I would definitely recommend this tour if you're a lover of beer & good times.

Before the sweaty brewery tour... seriously Charleston, can we talk about your weather?

Awesome. Amazing. Can't wait to do it again. Our tour guide was knowledgeable about all the breweries we visited, personable, and had a great sense of humor. I have been looking for an excuse to see some of the breweries in Charleston without having to do all the driving myself, and this was the perfect solution. The trip is more than worth it, considering you are getting a very personalized tour of three breweries and don't have to do any driving. Brent also made everything so convenient for us. He takes credit cards/payment when you arrive, has bottled water, a huge cooler, and snacks for the ride in the van. What's not to love?

our whole family on the tour with Brent! :)

We had a great time on the beer tour!! Brent was very knowledgeable, professional, and just awesome!!!! :) You get a lot more beer than you would think and in fact, we all started getting a buzz after a couple of samples. Brent also supplies free water and pretzels which was very generous of him. We had a really good time and it was a fun thing to do especially if you like to try new beers! It was well worth the price and exceeded our expectations. Thank you! :)

Brent does a wonderful job in making the newbies all the way to the experience craftsman happy on these tours. I feel very knowledgeable able my craft beers and he still has something different to add :) I would highly recommend this tour!!!!

This was my first time in Charleston and, since my boyfriend and I are fans of craft beer, I was looking for a fun tour with different brewery stops. After a quick search, I stumbled upon Brews Cruise and booked it. The tour was fun, relaxing, and informative! We went to Westbrook, Holy City, and Palmetto breweries trying multiple styles of beer at each. Bent explained the different beers, took the group on a tour of Westbrook's brewing system, and ensured everyone liked the beer they were sampling. The samples were very generous sizes and everyone got a high five for keeping their cup at the end! I would recommend Brews Cruise for anyone looking for a fun way to try multiple beers at multiple breweries without worrying about driving. You'll have a good time!

Great times on our bachelor trip! Would highly recommend. Drivers know their beers and history and just have the right amount of beer.

During my first visit to Charleston a few years ago, I took one of their daytime carriage tours and left feeling... underwhelmed. I didn't learn all that much, the tour wasn't especially memorable, and I wrote that I'd rather have explored the city on foot. Fast forward to my most recent visit when one of my friends wanted to do the Haunted Carriage Tour. Since it was something different, I happily went along and I'm glad I did. Our horse, Ron, was a 2,000 pound French Percheron and wow.... talk about a workhorse! From what I observed, the horses seemed well cared for despite the small stable. It was fun learning a little about Ron before we set off. Our guide, Matt, was informative, engaging, and did a great job mixing Charleston history with the haunted stories. While I'm not really into ghost tours, I still learned quite a bit. In fact, my favorite takeaway wasn't haunted at all - it was learning the difference between a graveyard and a cemetery. This tour also had a digital component as we were prompted to scan the QR code to see photos of the individuals/"ghosts" he was talking about. The tour also gave us another opportunity to see Charleston from a different perspective and this time around I enjoyed riding through the historic streets by carriage. Overall, this experience was much more enjoyable than my first. The company clearly has these tours down to a science and if you're deciding between a daytime tour and the haunted evening tour, I'd surprisingly recommend the latter. I'm glad I gave Old South another chance.

They are funny and kind as well. My daughter was visiting from NYC to help me unload these reproductive boxes( feels like that anyway) and I decided to take her on a carriage tour. She was adamant that I investigate what company treats their horses the best., Here we landed! What a lovely place. The barn I mean. I so enjoyed hearing about the horses, their history and work schedules and requirements. Made us feel like we made a great decision. Dick ( Richard) and Dutch ( horse) were great! Very informative and loved hearing about the history and homes of Charleston. My kids were both born in North Charleston , but it's been a long journey to get back. It was really an exceptional tour and I felt completely safe and confident that these horses were treated beautifully. Do it! I didn't feel like anyone was sitting on my lap and I did like that even though they knew who lived in those crazy gorgeous homes, they did not divulge the names of their occupants., I could go again tomorrow. There are four different routes and it's by lottery which tour you go on , so you can really be a repeater!

Our guide kept talking to himself, then stop suddenly to point out an alligator or bird by him, but by the time he got moving, the animals was pretty much gone. You can only see the same birds and swamp so much before it becomes redundant. Maybe some history about the family, the time period, anything! I didn't go on a guided tour of the house, just walked through, but I don't really know what a tour guide could have added with just those few rooms. The gift shop lady was outright rude. I got a shirt that was marked 20% off. On the app, it said 10% off any item $30 or more, it said nothing about sale items. She acting like I was crazy for asking and then basically said, "that's double dipping, it's not like CVS where you can stack coupons." Seriously! Then when my mom said that was deceptive marketing, she sat there and argued with her. Save yourself time and money and go somewhere they not only appreciate your business, but where they aren't just charging you for the land.
