Easy to schedule appointments and friendly group of employees. They go above and beyond to treat my medical needs. In most cases, I can obtain prescriptions on site. "Nice people, ineffectual." Park West Office experience: intake technology loses info and defaults to old. I've entered my PCPhysician twice, office assnt entered two other days while I was in front of her - still not there! They send prescriptions to the pharmacy and bypass telling the patient. Also their diagnostic tools didn't work on me, they said they couldn't get an accurate reading . Then the doc wouldn't return my call to discuss new asthma med he recommended re side effects and ineffectiveness (assistant: "I'm just in the middle.") So frustrating, not going back. Had a really negative and frustrated experience right from the start from filling out paperwork ahead of appt that after 30 min didn't go through and was told I now have to come in early and fill out again, I then waited 45 minutes before the dr. came in, she left multiple times and was rushed and kept encouraging me to "come back another time" to do the 2 procedures I needed done like she didn't have time. She told me one would have side effects that would interfere with going back to work so I didn't have it done and when I called right away to get it done was told i would have to pay another $100 copay though I was just there. When I called to make the appt was on hold 20 minutes and when asked to speak to an office manager was put on hold and told no one was available and no one called back as promised. I called the next day and after a 1/2 hour of being on hold and told my concerns that I was not speaking to the right person and they would call back. It's very sad there is no sense of concern or quality patient care anymore and no interest in building a relationship with a patient or in the community. I went to them 5 times over the years, met with 3 different doctors. They were all rude and condescending. Last visit, they just wanted to get me out of the office so sent me to therapy that had no specific balance therapy. More interested in selling me hearing aids than anything else. Still having severe balance/hearing problems and can't go back to them. I;m at a loss. read more

I had a fantastic experience with Charleston ENT & Allergy. I came in first for a consultation, and then made an appointment for an allergy test. I've had a rough year - constantly congested, stuffy or runny nose, cough etc. When I got the results from my allergy test I was relieved to finally understand WHY I felt the way I did and begin treating things immediately. While the initial prescription recommendation (a nose spray) didn't help me at all, the information from my allergy test results + my own preference for OTC medication has helped me feel better after only 2 weeks. I'm still debating allergy shots but will definitely come back to this office & doctor for those. My husband and I came here while staying in Charleston. After a day at the beach, it seems that he somehow had a large buildup of earwax that moved a bit and was effecting his hearing. We were able to get in the next day and they were able to take it out, fairly quickly. It was definitely a sizable chunk, and his relief was immediate. Luckily we were able to enjoy the rest of our visit to Charleston with no other issues. Everyone was super friendly. Thanks for saving our vacation ;) read more

My doctors were very nice and answered my questions. I didn't have to wait forever in the waiting room. I also liked the layout of their office space. They were very prompt! I got my hearing tested there as well as seeing the ENT doctor. Also it's nice that they have a pharmacy inside the building. That saved me time! I could have gotten my hearing aids there but they only offered one brand and they were more than I could afford and I didn't want to finance them. I'm sure they were the top of the line. It's a shame that insurance covers glasses and contacts but not hearing aids! read more

DO NOT go to Charleston ENT & Allergy If I could give 0 stars, I would. When I called Dr. Murphy's office at Charleston ENT to setup my Allergy Test, the receptionist told me that I needed to not take any allergy meds 5 days prior to my appointment. When I showed up the appointment, Dr. Murphy told me that the first appointment is a consultation before the Allergy Test is provided. Based on the wrong expectation being set, Dr. Murphy walked me up to the front desk after my appointment and offered to waive my $250 consultation fee and told the front desk manager to take make sure the fee was waived!!! I didn't even ask for the fee to be waived... it was offered by the Dr. Then a month later I received an invoice for that fee and when I called Charleston ENT multiple times, they finally concluded that Dr. Murphy didn't remember that conversation or offering to waive the fee which is upsetting. 1) I was told that I would have an allergy test during my 1st appointment and did not 2) Dr. Murphy didn't recall offering this which is understandable based on the patients he sees daily but 3) the office manager also didn't take down the note to waive the fee which is also frustrating. Recommendation... I would not offer things you cant remember and I would also set clear expectations on appointments. I would NOT use Charleston ENT and would look elsewhere. Also the head of the billing department... she should be fired! Terrible mangement. read more

Had surgery in 2015 and moved in 2017 to a new address. Ive had a lot of problems breathing and called to make an appointment. I was told I had an $800 dollar bill. I never got a bill. They said they sent me a bill in 2015, called me in 2016, 2017 and 2018. I found out about the bill in 2019. I told them I could make payment and that I am having problems breathing through my nose and having a lot of difficulties. My face is so swollen some day my eyes feel like they are going to pop out of my head. I was told I have to pay the entire bill in full before anyone will see me. I was ok with paying my bill and would have just set up reoccurring payments but they refused that. So here I sit in pain, cant breath not sure what to do...Do yourself a favor and find a different ENT that actually cares and has a billing office that isn't incompetent. read more

I had my tonsils taken out by Dr. Brown. I was a nervous wreck but he and all of the staff helped calm my nerves. Dr. Brown explained things in great detail so I was never in the dark about any part of pre-op, post-op and my recovery. He and the staff were so kind and during my healing process I received 2-3 calls to make sure I was doing ok and that I had all the medications that I needed to make sure my pain was controlled. I would recommend Charleston ENT to anyone who is looking for a good practice for their needs. I haven't been sick since I've had my tonsils removed and I couldn't be more happy with this practice and staff! read more

Prepare for a long wait, the average patient will wait 40+ minutes after their scheduled time to be seen. They overbook patients to an extreme that is unfair to patients - our time is valuable too! The doctors themselves are competent, some are nice and take their times, others will rush you out. I wouldn't recommend them unless you have plenty of free time. read more

I had to give them one star or I could not continue writing. They didn't even earn this consideration. This place is an embarrassment to Roper St. Francis and everything they supposedly stand for. My wife went there because of some congestion in her ear and a ringing in that same ear that had recently started. They didn't listen to a word she said. The gave her a very expensive hearing test that she neither requested or wanted, then tried to sell her hearing aids, then she met with a physician who spoke to her for a few minutes before writing her prescriptions that MADE THE RINGING WORSE, GAVE HER VERTIGO, AND INCREASED THE CONGESTION. They ignored her completely when she told them that the ringing was a very recent event, coinciding with the congestion. IGNORED HER COMPLETELY. How do these people stay in business? Certainly there has to be a decent ENT outfit in the area, one that cares about their patents and listens and does the right thing. DON'T GO HERE. read more

My experience with Dr. Angelos was excellent!! However, the staff at the Wingo Way, Mt. Pleasant location were rude, they never smiled, and they didn't make you feel comfortable. The receptionist was disinterested, and never smiled. The lady that took me back to the room never made eye contact and spoke too low to hear anything she was saying. She stood behind me the entire time she was asking me questions. She made me very uncomfortable!! The nurse that came in the room with Dr. Angelos was nice and comforting. The system at Charleston ENT is not patient friendly. I have been pretty happy with my visits so far, but today was not good. I called last week about one of the latest prescriptions. Based on the doctor's directions, I was going to need a higher quantity of medicine to last a month. I followed up today, to be told that yes, they had called into my pharmacy a 90 day supply. I thought, yay. Went to the pharmacy and the rx was for less than a month's supply based on his instructions. Lovely! I called their central number (there is no way to communicate with the location you are seen at) and after some discussion was told, "Oh, he wants to see you before he will give the increased quantity." That was far from what I was told this morning. This convoluted system of speaking to a central bank of operators doesn't work when you have other than a "simple" request. I had to pay a $10 copay for just over 2 weeks of meds when I could have paid $20 for 90 days. Maybe I can get a reduction on my next bill!! read more

Dr. Brown and the Staff at Wingo Way are very professional. I initially went in for nose issues. Dr.. Brown prescribed allergy shots in which I did not have much faith. To my surprise, the shots made a remarkable improvement in my nasal breathing by clearing the passages. Additionally Dr. Brown performed an in office procedure.
