Do your homework there is a reason this company is not accredited by the Better Business Bureau! I paid for them to install my gutters and they did their job but I am still waiting on a pressure wash service I paid $75 for in February 2018. Pollen issues are over and I've called multiple times and emailed! How unprofessional and to think I had a few other jobs for them to take care of. A few of my neighbors even asked for quotes on windows but the sketchy guy who came to install my gutters seemed a bit strung out to remember to give them quotes. Hoping to get my pressure wash or $75 back. The owner of this company contacted me through Facebook letting me know my money would be returned as of yet three months later I have seen nothing. They informed me an ex employee had stolen the pressure washer so I guess my family and I "donated" towards the purchase of a new one for them. It's a shame they have Charleston in their name because they're not doing the city any favors. read more

If you ever have gutters installed do not go through Charleston Exteriors. Their customer service is horrible. The owner Eddie Taylor had his people come out and install gutters on our home and they didn't do it right in certain areas. When I called to have them schedule an appointment to come out and fix what they screwed up Eddie gave me the run around, blew Mr off and was setting up new appointments and ignoring a current existing customer. I work in Real Estate and have had quite a few experiences with contractors from large jobs to small. While my experiences are rarely awesome, my experience with Eddie Taylor and Charleston Exteriors was the worst experience I've ever had. I don't think Eddie Taylor is an honest person. I had hired him to install some windows and patio doors. He asked for a deposit that was significantly more than the cost of materials. The person that actually did the work, who was either a subcontractor that he found for the lowest possible price or an employee who was ill-qualified to do the job did not adequately install the windows, broke trim without repairing or replacing it, installed windows crooked and without insulation, left gobs of caulk all over the trim and no caulk in some places where it should be, broke one of the mechanical parts of the windows, through out necessary pieces of equipment, would work for 3 hours one and then not again for several days, left trash in the yard and house, left oil stains in the driveway from a car that had a major oil leak, among many other issues. I eventually had to tell Eddie and his employeee/subcontractor not to come back after giving him ample opportunity to fix the issues. Eddie never even laid eyes on the house after providing the initial estimate to see what kind of work was done, to see the issues I had raised, etc. I absolutely would NOT recommend Eddie Taylor or Charleston Exteriors LLC. I believe in giving credit where credit is due. About the only thing I can say for Eddie is that he didn't try to charge $10,000 more than the job was worth like several others I got quotes from, but I guess the old adage is true: 'you get what you pay for.' My recommendation if you need new windows and/or doors would be to get a quote from Eddie and Charleston Exteriors and then try to get a well-reviewed / competent contractor to match the price. If I could give 0 stars I would. I called on a Thursday to ask for someone to come and give me an estimate. I was told that Eddie Taylor, the owner, would call me at most on the next Monday. I requested to be informed if he had time in advance, otherwise I would move on to another company. I called on Monday 3 times complaining that I had not received the call. On Tuesday I called again and someone of the staff said that there was nothing he could do to make the owner to call me. If a company is all booked out, what is the problem of saying so from the beginning instead of making people wait days and days for a call that will never be made? read more

Pretty much the same as the last review. This guy is real marginal, he even tried to bill again for work that had already been paid. They just showed up without even so much as a call first and has refused to come out for a service call. I ended up fix the gutters myself. Don't waste your money with this guy. read more

Contacted Charleston Exteriors in mid-June 2017 to get a quote to add gutters to my rental home in Mt. Pleasant. I promptly received the quote from Eddie Taylor. I contacted Eddie on 7/11/17 that I would like Charleston Exteriors to complete the work and let him know I would make the deposit payment through the online processing system which I made the next morning. Contacted Eddie on 7/26/17 to get an update on the work and was told the supplies were ordered and takes up to 3 weeks to come in. on 9/6/17 I contacted Eddie again to get an update; was told the gutter was in but the weather has been an issue and backed their work schedule. Again followed up with Eddie on 10/17/17 asking for the status or a refund, and he responded "I am sorry for the delay how did you pay the deposit? Did you send a check or did you pay online?" I responded immediately through the online payment. As of 11/22/2017 I have still not heard back from Eddie regarding a timeline for the project or a refund. read more
