A great spot whenever I'm craving Philly cheesesteaks! I came around noon on a Saturday and there was plenty of food court seating and no line to order. We weren't super hungry so we shared 2 regular Philly cheesesteaks (9 inch) and 2 regular fries between 4 people. It filled us up just enough but I'd definitely get a large (12 inch) if I'm hungry. The Philly cheesesteak is delicious, hearty and filled with toppings. I love the combo of the flavorful steak and fresh veggies. The fries were a big portion and were tasty, warm, crispy and thick! Love this place. Love my cheesesteaks. Absolutely hated the customer service this visit from an unhappy cashier. She rudely stated that they didn't open until 11am, mind you I was only standing in line at 1059. Then I asked her about redeeming my rewards points, said she couldn't do it. Couldn't or wouldn't be bothered? Good rule of thumb when working fast food, you must also provide good customer service. It's clear she did NOT want to be at work today. What a shame considering people need to be happy if they have a job during these times. Update: I wanted to update my review, because its very important to share when business owners acknowledge when you've provided negative feedback regarding a service or quality of food or a product.  After I posted my review, the owner Yunis, reached out to me right away.  She apologized for my experience and assured me that it was not ok, and would make every attempt to make things right.  On Friday, I took her up on the offer.  I called in to place an order, the manager Marcelino was very friendly and accommodated my order replacement with an upgrade.  This made me so happy, and the sandwich and fries were incredible.  Thanks so much to Yunis and Marcelino for redeeming my feelings towards their business.  I'll be sure to visit again.  As should you! read more

There is definitely more bread to meat ratio especially for the price. A regular sub steak is over $6. And I wouldn't consider the combo (fries and drink) much of a deal either. You're only saving maybe .50 if that. The prices are high and the only reason I give this place four stars... 3.5 is because good cheese steaks are hard to find in San Diego and they do have good cheese steaks and cheese fries!! I come here often and love the cheesesteaks. Today I didn't receive 3 orders of fries in my 3 combo meals. I usually check to make sure everything is correct but I was in a hurry today and expect the orders to be checked anyway. My humble opinion, it starts at the top with the manager because no one in there was happy at this location. Food/Drinks: 3 I ordered the Philly with Jalapeno, a drink and fries. The seasoned fries are a huge draw for me, their seasoning is amazing. Well, after paying and waiting for mybfood they then tell me they have no seasoning for the fries. Every other Charley's not only has it in stock but also sells the seasoning in bottles. If they had the seasoning, they would have gotten a 5. Wait Time: 3 Typical for the number of people in front of me. About 10-15 minutes. Price: 3 Its typical for a fast food place. Not bad but with the customer service so bad I wont be going back to this location. Cleanliness: 2 Typically you expect a high traffic place to be a little dirty but they were beyond that. I watched the sandwich prep drop meat of the order in front of me and pick it up and put it on the customers sandwich. Not sure if they saw it or not but they didnt complain. The steak is delicious but the iceberg lettuce used I don't care for that lettuce because it's mostly water based and if your going to claim to be the "best cheese steak in the world" the lettuce could be a bit better. Poor customer service! I ordered a strawberry lemonade at this location. My wife asked me to get a small cup of ice for this drink. I asked the guy over the counter if I could get a cup of ice. Rather than him taking a few seconds to get the ice, he said I had to wait in line to get the ice. This little inconvenience got me angry!!! I'm actually a huge fan of Charley's but there customer service has hit an all time low. This is the 5th time I've been to this location before 640 and they were already closed. The first two times they were just looking crazy with no reason why. The third time they said they closed early to clean up. The fourth time they had no excuse and today they claimed they were short staff. I've eaten here over 50 times and it was the same amount of staff. Bottom line is they have been closing early so they can leave by 7pm. That is unfair to customers. Change the hours on the website if you plan on closing at 645 everyday. I posted a review the last time and I'll continue to do this. Management needs to be on site to make sure this doesn't happen. I watched them turn away 15 customers before 645. read more

We came here only because I was waiting for some embroidery to get done on a ballcap I purchased and since it was lunch time and there were so many food court places to try out, we decided to give CHARLEY'S a try. I ordered the Philly Chicken Cheese Steak sandwich and was highly disappointed. There was hardly any meat in this sandwich...mostly grilled veggies and cheese over loaded with shredded lettuce and half a slice of tomato. Sorry, but this is pretty LAME.
