Even the blue cheese is loved by my family who dislike blue cheese. If you don't finish it all, they taste just the same the next day except for the breadsticks. Alright, so there are a few wings places. Wings and Things, now Epic Wings, to me, is the best overall food. So, most will know what this food entails. I don't think many need that spelled out. The breadsticks are really good, the flavors of the sauces, ranch, blue cheese dressing, is all good. But at all placse this varies, so you might get an EPIC meal one time and something pretty basic the next. When I come in, it's usually the same 2 or 3 guys running the counter and they are consistently kind and professional. I really enjoy the service here. Sometimes it's busy, sometimes it's not. It can be annoying when it's busy because it can feel like you have to wait in line even though you ordered online. That seems to be getting better. A downside is there's nowhere to really wait for your food. I usually go outside. It just feels really awkward in there when it's busy. As one of the newer Epic Wings this place has a handsome tenant improvement level. It has an attached outdoor seating area that is larger than the one inside, and really nice, including televisions to watch sports. There are usually a lot of people around, due to the movie theater, bank, and other businesses, so it's pretty nice to go and eat outside, and of course, the weather is cluitch because it's San Diego. The only reason I knock this down a peg is that for my 3-person family size, it's really hard to get the amount of food we want. This seems to be an issue at all the ones we go to like Wings Empire for example, they seem to have very strict and unchanging portions. WHY?. The single meal is too small for us, a double meal about right, but my wife usually wants their great fries. If we could get the meal without the soda and bread, the 6-count bread stick would be perfect. But you can't do that so we have to pay a dollar per bread stick to get the right amount . If we could get a 1-count or 2-count tender to make the sizing just right, that would be awesome; You can't. This makes no sense to me at all and it just seems like business practice bleed-through across the years rather than a coherent stance. The menu is small enough to add additional options without confusing anyone. This gripe is fairly minor in the scheme of things, but every time I go to order, I run into these snags in terms of what will be enough without going overboard, without getting charged too much becuase we can't get the right amount, etc. Altogether, I think this particular shop is underrated on Yelp and appreciate having it in my neighborhood. read more

I've always appreciated this location in the past, but unfortunately, my recent visit was a letdown. I noticed that one of the cashiers was more focused on chatting with the cook than assisting customers, which didn't feel very professional. The team member who helped me--I believe her name was Yil--seemed distracted and disengaged, spending time on her phone and displaying a negative attitude. There was one other family in front of us ordering. Once you order you are given a number and the food gets brought out to your table. There was a bit of a wait to get our items but nothing too excessive. We ordered the Epic Chicken Fries combo with the Extra Hot sauce (not spicy) $11.95, 1 bread stick $0.80 and a Single Pizza Sticks Combo with the garlic Parmesan sauce $11.95. Both combos are something you need to eat right away since reheating might make them soggy. We were pleasantly surprised by both. The flavor combinations were great and portion size fits the price. Excellent experience every time I've came to this location! The parking lot is huge so I never have a hard time finding parking. I've dined in before a movie and I've done phone orders for pick up and it's so easy doing both. Every time I've picked up they always said 15 minutes but it was always done before 15 mins. The employees are always friendly and efficient. They always keep the place nice and clean too. I've been loyal to "wings n things" for the longest time! I've always been a strips person here because I think it's more bang for the buck. I do love me some wings and change it up when I feel like it. They gamy favorite buffalo sauce out of all the wing places. I've evolved and I started adding garlic to my buffalo sauce and it's a game changer. Don't sleep on that! My other favorite flavor is sweet chili if you're into that sweet heat. And whenever it's in season I get the mango habanero. Other places spicy habanero are way too spicy but at epic wings it's nice and comfortable. Don't even get me started on their breadsticks! You gotta eat them while they're nice and hot. They'll beat pat and oscars and olive gardens any day of the week! I'm a blue cheese kinda person too and it's pretty decent here. Not many chunks but still good. And the veggies...
