Good location in town to have a scoop of some summer fun. Check out their raspberry chip or blue berry cheesecake ice cream. Let the kids have the blue Cookie Monster.... It turns everything blue... lips, tongue, teeth, clothes.... Worth the visit.

My friends and I were in need of an ice cream fix and we stumbled upon Charlie's! They had so many flavors it was hard to choose! I got the mint chocolate chip ice cream. While it wasn't the best mint chip I've had, I did enjoy it! They only had a few dairy free options which was surprising due to fast amount of flavors they had. One of my friends got the dole whip which they liked! The staff were friendly and fast when serving us. There was however very limited seating inside which was a little disappointing. If I'm ever in saugatuck again I would give this place another try!

Single scoop of Grasshopper in a cup & single scoop of coffee Oreo in a waffle cone.

The best spot in town to grab ice cream! The flavors are amazing, we had coffee Oreo, and grasshopper. Would get both again! And don't miss out on the freshly made (and also warm!) waffle cones. You walk into this place and it smells amazing! 11/10 recommend

incredibly ugly AI sign out front, gives the whole exterior a cheap and lazy look, not to mention the enviromental impact when it would have been just as easy to pay someone $5 to make. extremely dissapointing. ice cream has also gone downhill in quality. also a 4% credit card charge is ridiculous for a busy tourist town, especially when you consider its illegal to charge more than 3% (which they acknowledged in another review from a month ago and still nothing has changed). employees were incredibly rude and did not greet us.

Lots of options, unique and fun flavors, reasonably priced. Why's is so dang hot inside though?! Can't be good for the ice cream. Good service and in and out in a short amount of time.

It's such a cute and inviting store, you'll love to browse, even if you don't buy anything, but I bet you can't leave without buying something! The chocolate black walnut fudge we bought was the creamiest I've ever had, and I've eaten fudge pretty much everywhere we've been on vacation. Many people were eating ice cream cones which looked delicious also, but I figured the fudge was enough sugar at the moment. Service was super friendly and fast and helpful. A definite must stop!

Holy rip off! $40+ for four ice cream cones? Go across the street for half price. They conveniently don't list their prices anywhere. We were full and ordered kids scoops across the entire family, yet what I received resembled a small basketball of ice cream. You're probably thinking, this guy.. complaining about "too much" ice cream.. was his lobster too buttery, his steak too tender? But let me explain. Sometimes you don't want a pint of ice cream delicately sitting on a cone. Sometimes you just want a little bit, and for that to be their smallest option, it just doesn't make sense. Especially for my already wired kids. The second was the aforementioned sticker shock. We went to the place across the street the next night and our normal sized, delicious cones were about $20, half the price. So yeah, it's not so much a bad review because of quality or anything, just a bit of a misleading and poor experience. Others in the store were sharing similar concerns, so I wonder if this place has pushed it as far as they can and need to scale back. Oh my ice cream was pretty tasty, but super rich and nowhere near anything I could finish. That's all I got, a bit let down by Kilwin's.

I'd come across them while doing my HW for the trip, but without really knowing the area, I'd thought that staying in South Haven meant I wouldn't get the chance to visit, but after stopping in to The Flying Saucer in South Haven and picking up their beans there for the house, I learned everything is kinda close on this part of the coast! This is their main location, right in the heart of Saugatuck. It's cozy and colorful, warm and inviting, and filled with some incredibly sweet people. Oh yeah. They have A LOT of great coffee too! Their specialty and seasonal drinks all sounded delicious, but I'm a purist in pursuit of the best cup of black coffee, here for the single origins and blends that are sourced and roasted by this skilled team. Walking in I was faced by a massive wall filled with beautiful bags of beans from all over the world, each labeled with notes on origin, processing and flavor profile. I set my sights on a pour over and when the cashier said I could choose anything from the wall, I was gobsmacked (that's a funny word). The range was so impressive, with great representation from all over the world, processed in all different ways, making the choice quite difficult. It's a good thing I used my time in line to look at all of the options, and I settled on a white honey processed coffee called Villa Sarchi, which was delightful. If I have one quibble it's that they didn't have an actual pour over menu and this is simply because I enjoy asking the baristas about the coffees. This spot is super hot, with a line out the door at all times, so despite the barista at the counter being incredibly accommodating, I couldn't in good conscience hold up the patrons behind me with too many questions or returns to the wall. I also tried their espresso lime tonic for a beverage to stroll with and enjoyed the slight sweet and tart drink very much on a hot day. Uncommon also has a great menu of food offerings and we had a bagel breakfast sandwich and one of their MASSIVE savory scones. I wish I'd asked or been asked about warming the scone because it definitely needed it, but holy hell this thing was packed with cheesy goodness and the perfect foil to my naturally sweet coffee. Normally I go home with one bag of coffee as a souvenir, but I couldn't help but buy two, which were in addition to the beans I also bought in South Haven! In total I think I sampled about 5 different Uncommon roasts and loved them all! I loved this place so much I looked to buy merch, but sadly they had run out of the sizes I needed. There's always next time. Or maybe they'll ship...

Very much looks the part, but was left wanting a little more tbh…read more First off, vibes wise: amazing. Beautiful old house converted to a coffee shop with a dreamy garden in the back. Incredible. Coffee wise: fair. I ordered a few specialty summer cold brews for my wife and I and they were tiny, and my wife's was well-made with cold foam and cinnamon, but mine barely had a dollop (I gave her the good one, aren't I a nice husband?) I got a black coffee on my second visit and it wasn't very good. Service: friendly but slow. I was SO glad to have pitcher on pitcher of cold brew back at the AirBNB so I didn't have to wait. The times I came, this place was popping and it (expectedly) took some time. Hours: I was out for an early morning walk in the six o'clock am hour and several other middle-aged to elderly people were circling like vultures waiting for their caffeine fix. I feel like in peak season bumping hours to 6 or even 6:30 might do numbers for them. Food: I ordered a buttered bagel for my kids the first time in and it took a long, long time. I think they forgot about it. It appeared to be a grocery store style bagel and was ok. I'm telling you, this place looks beautiful and it's got great energy. It just so happened the business and the coffee on just a few visits didn't quite land. I would definitely encourage folks to try it out, it just missed the mark more than I was hoping for.

The quality of food was not good and hummus wrap and classic bagel sandwich were underwhelming. The wrap was 96% lettuce and then hummus and tomato's making up the rest of it. We were one of the first customers of the day and the girl working the counter was also rude and seemed so annoyed that we were there. The inside doesn't give the cleanest vibe either...
