But earlier this month, when I tried to schedule a gutter cleaning, they responded (by email) telling me they would not take my job and that I should go elsewhere. I was stunned! I've always paid my bill on same day, and never had any issues with their workers. In my latest request for service, I did ask them to "please use ladder stabilizers to prevent any damage to my gutters." Apparently this p*ssed them off, although I don't know why. Their crews have ALWAYS used ladder stabilizers in the past, and Midwest's website has at least 3 photos showing they use these devices. Attempts to reach someone on the phone for an explanation were unsuccessful, as they do not answer their phone, and no one has responded to my voice messages. Based on this, I do NOT recommend Midwest Gutter Cleaning.

I've hired them to cut down my tall zebra grass plants, pull weeds, rake leaves, etc. General yard work. Twice last summer they came out to pull a bunch of tiny creeping weeds in all of my flower beds. You know those invasive weeds that creep along the ground? I showed them exactly what to pull out and they cleaned up all of my flower beds. They helped with fall cleanup too. They have always arrived on time and went right to work without wasting any time. I walk around my house and show them exactly what I want to be done​ and then they get to work. Once they are done working, the owner of the company sends you an invoice which you can pay online. Finally, every time I've reached out to the owner to schedule work I have gotten a quick response and the work scheduled reasonably quick--normally within a day or two. I normally text him with my request, name, address and that's all I have to do.

He made me promise not to slander him online or he wouldn't pay me for any of the damage his employee did. This is how businesses try to keep people from hearing about problems like this. Since this review was posted, the owner has sent me many nasty threatening texts late at night with extreme profanity and is THREATENING TO SUE ME unless I delete it. We met with several companies, including some larger painting firms but after meeting Jerome it felt like a breath of fresh air. In the initial site visit/estimate we got to learn about Hansen painting co in which Jerome after 30 years of industry experience started his own company. Jerome was friendly, easy to talk to, detail oriented, professional and had a great sense of humor! He ensured in our meeting that we understood his process and had a clear understanding of the work he includes - as well he made super helpful suggestions regarding paint brands, finishes/sheen and helped my wife build confidence in all color selections. Jerome scheduled the work 2 weeks out. The first day they taped, covered everything and got right to it. Jerome was on site with his employees working with them the whole day and it was clear the respect his whole team had for him and how they adopted his values and craftsmanship. Jerome and his team finished full interior paint on our 3000sqft home 2 days ahead of schedule! The day before finishing, Jerome walked through with me and pointed out the small touch ups him and his team were completing the next day prior to closing out, and insisted we point out anything we were unhappy with, in which he called out anything I noticed and more. to be honest I was still in awe of the quality of work. I've done many remodeling projects and couldn't be happier with what Hansen painting Co and Jerome have done to completely transform my home! I continue to refer Jerome to neighbors, friends and family!
