I just finished reading previous reviews and am really surprised at some of the negative reviews. Have you noticed that most of the reviews are either a five star or a one star review (with a couple of three stars thrown in)? I thought it strange until I thought about my own experiences with this firm. They are attorneys with support staff. They bill by the hour unless they have a flat fee service like evictions. They do not want to spend a lot of time on the phone because they have work to do. They have a set amount of time built into their flat fee services. They are all human. They are direct. When you hear something you don't like and start yelling at them they react as you would react. They are limited by the law. There are rules they have to follow. Telling them you want that son of a b**ch to pay dearly for what they did to you doesn't change the law. If your tenant is a deadbeat and you won't be able to collect blood from a turnip, yelling at them won't change the law. So what am I trying to say? I am saying that some clients have unrealistic expectations. This firm explains things to you succinctly. They don't waste time. Let them do their job. They are not perfect - no one is. They might make a mistake. If you find they have (and that is IF) then bring it to their attention. They are reasonable; but they are human. Act like an ass and they might hang up on you - I would. They don't like being disturbed when in the middle of working to answer an inane call. They have assistants to help you. So what has been my personal experience? I have used them multiple times. As another reviewer posted, I had a family scream "Black Mold". They moved out of my rental house into a very expensive hotel (upon advice from their lawyer) and took all their clothes to a dry cleaner. They hired a mold company with an expert witness. They wanted to buy my house for a pittance for their trouble and 'health issues'. Their lawyer even served me the legal papers late at night - laughing. I hired this law firm. The attorney assigned to my case did not show up in time for court (family emergency I found out later). I was worried. Then this young lanky guy walks up to me and says "Hi, I'm Brad Weeks and will handle your case for you today." Gulp. We walked in and went before the judge. As their shyster lawyer went on and on about how his clients had suffered and had spent all their savings to deal with a horrid situation, Mr. Weeks read over the documents. As with a previous reviewer's case, Brad stood up when called and asked about three questions to those present. "Why, after suffering so would you want to move back into a house that caused you such discomfort?t", "Why did you move out of the house before you had tested for mold?", "Have you read paragraph #? of your own mold test report where it says that all 'mold stains' were tested and found to be INORGANIC in nature?" Two minutes later the case was dismissed. Mr. Bradley T. Weeks is good! This same couple tried, with the same lawyer they had before, to sue me again for breach of contract - same house. Again they tried but withdrew their case after my lawyers prevailed. They also took care of an eviction for me. As we waited in the hall to go into court, a young woman approached my tenants in the hallway. She said her firm specialized in handling evictions and could put off the case and get them more time to stay in the house. My deadbeat tenant smiled and just looked at me. She asked who was handling my side and I said "Charlton Weeks". She didn't say a word but just walked away. My attorney and I won. So this same tenant that lost, found another sucker and moved into their rental. I found out where they moved to and informed the property owners of the trouble I had with their current tenants and how they operate. Three months later the owners called me and asked me again who I used to evict those people. Charleton Weeks. Now I won't say that everything has always gone perfectly and I have even had disagreements with Mr. Weeks BUT I treated their staff fairly and stated my disagreements quickly and succinctly. We settled things to both our satisfactions and respected each other's position. So I have never met James Charleton but have heard from other clients that he is good. I have dealt with Brad Weeks personally and have sent my friends his way. Everyone has been happy. This firm works hard, they get tired. Treat them the way you want to be treated and you may be leaving a five star review too. read more

I have utilized the services of Charlton Weeks about four times in the last 15 years and the service has been excellent at all times and the demeanor friendly and courteous. Having been in business over 50 years I have learned that if you treat someone with respect they will in turn treat you with respect. Note that starting off demanding and uncooperative should make no difference with attorneys and their office staff but really they are human too. I had the pleasure of Bradley Weeks handling my first eviction case in court against tenants who hired a less than honest attorney to represent them. Their attorney pled their situation to the judge for almost a half hour and then when it was our turn, Mr.Weeks blew them out of the water with three short and concise sentences. We won and I got my house back in two weeks with a judgement with which I collected all back rent and court costs! Another tenant tried accusing my rental house of having black mold and were trying to blackmail me into selling the house cheaply. Again Mr.Weeks shut them down by starting off "Why would you want to buy a house that supposedly had black mold unless you were sure that black mold did not exist. Have you read your inspector's report that states all "evidence" of black mold tested was found to be INORGANIC in nature." Case dismissed. My last eviction was a tough one and very involved however Charlton Weeks have a FLAT FEE eviction service fee well under a grand. Whether some of the previous complainers understand or not, you pay the full fee up front, not just the three day notice to start. They do a LOT of evictions and they do them well. They don't need your business if you want to be a pill.They are people too and unlike how most lawyers are portrayed, it's not all about the money. read more

Pay attention to the reviews. This is a real one. This firm is very UNPROFESSIONAL. Keep away from them. They should close their business. I gave them 0 stars.
