I've been going to Dr. Tu for about 3 months now and she really is amazing. I have experienced neck and lower back pain for longer than I can remember due to sports injuries that have accumulated over the years. After only a couple of sessions, I was feeling good as gold and now go to her on a regular basis just to keep that feeling alive. She is super nice, very friendly and engaging and has a warm, soothing office. What I really like about Dr. Tu is that it isn't just abut the neck and back adjustments. She works with me on getting muscles to relax, alignment and other aspects of posture. Having a great chiropractor on my team has always been important to me and I look forward ot my visits with Dr. Tu. I've seen a bunch of different chiropractors over the years, so I'm very picky about who I see. I have to say Dr. Tu is pretty darn awesome, super friendly and caring. Her adjustments are spot on and not overly aggressive. She's also not pushy whatsoever, thank you! I had one chiropractor try to get me come in the following Monday when I was just there on Friday, like oh please. Did I mention that they also offer massage therapy and that Victoria is absolutely amazing at deep tissue??? That woman works the marbles out of my back like no other, and I sit in front of a computer all day long. She works it out, and is easily one of the best around. As far as the office itself, it's really nice, warm and inviting. It seems to be well run, organized, and they always call to remind me about my appointments. Making an appointment is always a breeze with her flexible hours and Saturday appointments. Parking is also very easy in the back. The only bummer is that they don't accept insurance. That took some getting used to. However, Dr. Tu offers to courtesy bill my insurance as an out of network provider, so that's nice. It's still totally worth it. Dr. Tu really does keep my back feeling great, especially sitting in front of a computer all day long and now that I'm getting back into running. I trust that I'm in great hands :-) read more

In the clinic, in person, she's warm and welcoming, thorough in explaining what's happening and what will help heal: home work stretches and exercises! I like how she is very clear about her fees. Horrible assessment and I have been to other chiropractors over the years. Did not have good results. Seemed arrogant and surely a body snob - which feels a bit more discriminatory than anything. Smiles and preens for certain clients not for others. Had an excellent chance to observe this from my time in a crowded waiting room of at least 2 crying babies with mother and grandmother fussing in the most uncomfortable chairs in a not to too nice waiting area. read more

Both Chiropractors in this office are absolutely amazing. About 2 years ago I had an acute back injury probably caused by half a decade of humping a 100lb+ rucksack in the Army. I could barely move and exercise was out of the question. Dr Charmaine and Dr Deborah not only got me back on my feet, they made me feel better and more stable than I have in 10 years. With their help, I qualified for the Police Academy and was picked up by an East Bay agency. Dr. Charmaine truly cares about her patients. Throughout the Academy I needed weekly adjustments in order to meet the demands of the rigorous physical training program. Posting my review from Google here too. Dr. Tu is the only chiropractor you need to see: I first saw Dr. Tu last year for neck and upper back pain. I had suffered regularly from tension headaches and took way too many anti-inflammatories. Dr. Tu provided quick relief to my age-old problems and then provided me with tools for maintaining good muscle and structural health. Dr. Tu has a can-do (will-do) attitude toward eliminating pain. She is very bright and an enthusiastic expert in her field. Dr. Tu also greatly assisted me in completing the 2009 New York City Marathon. She advised me on strecthing, icing and, most importantly, not giving up or giving in to the pain associated with marathoning. It is excellent corrective and preventative care. I thought miracles were not possible until I met Dr. Tu! I was suffering for 3 days from acute lower back pain, and the pain was increasing to a point I could barely walk. I had 2 very important photo-shoot scheduled over the week-end and I needed to be able to stand, walk and take pictures for 3 hours each day. Things did not look good, and you can't just call in the bride, and say: "sorry, I won't be able to capture one of the most beautiful event of your life because I have back ache!" So after trying my neighborhood's Chiropractor, with not much results, and after looking desperately on Yelp, Dr. Tu reviews caught my attention and I decided to ask her for help. She was nice enough to take me as an emergency the same day. I stayed almost 90 minutes at her place, for the first 20 minutes she asked me questions and evaluated my back condition. At the end of the 20 minutes she decided it was safe enough to gently manipulate my back. First she put me on ice for 20 minutes, which really helped to ease the pain and started to reduce the inflammation, then she did some Hamstring Stretches and some adjustments. Well believe it or not but after these 90 minutes I could walk again without too much pain. I was already 50% there. I then went back home and followed carefully Dr. Tu advices: icing every hour for 20 minutes, followed by Hamstring Stretches. The following day I woke up and most of the pain was gone! 2 days later, I was 90% back to normal, and ready for my week-ends photoshoots. With Dr Tu you truly feel that she cares about her patients, and she just won't do a quick adjustment and sent you home. Her sense of humor makes the all experience even more enjoyable. I wish I had known Dr. Tu in January, when I had a upper back issue which lasted for more than a month, where physical therapy only made things worse. Another important point: billing with my insurance was straight forward, and Dr. Tu took the time to clearly explain how my insurance would be billed, and what I could expect to pay out of my pocket. Communication through email is efficient and easy. After suffering from back pain, and seeing many other chiropractors and physical therapists, my advice if you start getting some back pain: DON'T WAIT! Go see Dr. Tu, right away, and do exactly what she says, and you'll feel better soon! read more

Dr. Tu is amazing! I have been going to her for the past two years and she has always been very helpful. If I have a flare up and need to get in, she will adjust her schedule in order to accommodate me. I also appreciate the fact that she is open late on Tuesdays and Thursdays so you can stop by after work or Saturdays. More importantly, Dr. Tu treats her patients like human beings instead of paper charts. She makes a point to get to know her patients and their needs. For example, instead of giving advice that is unrealistic for a patient to follow she will actually provide suggestions that you can actually work into your regular schedule. I am a school teacher and there is no way I can stay off my feet so Dr. Tu has made recommendations on how to take care of my back without telling me to sit all day. In addition, Dr. Tu often has her dog Guinness at the office who will happily greet visitors. read more

I discovered her on Yelp after 3 horrendous nights of the wildest (rib cage) pain I have ever known. My doctor wanted to prescribe me Vicodin, ugh. On the 4th day I had my first session with Dr Tu and never felt the pain again. I'm a lifelong athlete and have never experienced that kind of immediate healing... the pain reminded me of sports injuries that require lots of work & patience to overcome.
