Pretty solid experience overall. The doctor was focused and direct but not rude. They made sure to explain what they were seeing and talked to me about a couple things I should watch for. Dr. Chan is the BEST chiropractor I've ever had. I suffered from neck and shoulder pain for over 10 years and sometimes it would get so bad i couldn't get any sleep. I've tried massage, acupuncture, and chiropractic therapies but none really worked (massage did help but only for a day or two). I found Dr. Chan via Yelp and in all honesty, I didn't think it would help. The only reason I made an appointment was because it's less than a 10 min drive from where I lived, I had no expectations going into my first appointment. But it did work, I felt my neck and shoulders much "lighter" or relaxed right after my adjustment. Needless to say, I now go see Dr. Chan regularly. You receive a thorough interview and your first appt might involve hot pads and the electrical stimulation on your muscles before the adjustment. So relaxing! Dr. Chan is by far the best Chiropracter i've been to. He has a great understanding of the human body and how issues arise. I've gone to him for neck, back, shoulder and leg issues (at different points thankfully). He immediately knows what to do and how to relieve the pain and stress. I had been coming to Dr.chan since last year, glad it is open during this covid19, of course with precaution. Nothing fancy about the office or where you have to lay down, but this all about his skills, he definitely has fixed my issue the first time, but since I work 6 days a week and stand all day and have to carry quite a bit I do like to feel good, So I prevalent appointments ahead of time, he get book real fast. All I can say is wow! I just got hit last night by a drunk driver, and my pain was really really bad I coudn't sleep well at night. I was in a lot of pain. I tried to sleep side ways like I usually do, and it was very painful. I finally just fell asleep on my back... First thing I did in the morning was look for a chiropractor near my area with the highest rating and best reviews! Guess who came up? That's right! Mr. Chan's Chiropractor Care. I made an appointment and on the same day I was seen! Dr. Chan explained to me why I had so much pain. Due to the impact from the other driver ramming into my vehicle; my spinal cord was shifted towards the left, and my hip was misaligned. Dr. Chan then spoke to me some more, put some heating pads on my back, then he put on some electro therapy, felt really nice, massaged me very gently for another 8 minutes, and then he finally went in for the final touch... I think I heard my back pop like 6 times! lol! He even said my neck was affected by the impact! I heard that pop twice too! After he was finished I felt like 90% better and I was able to walk straighter! I was like wow! I'm not usually a fan of chiropractors, but Dr. Chan seems different. He spends a lot of time with each patient and even does some soft tissue massage (sweet!) to help the injured areas. My Yelper pal Jennifer CP recommended him to me, and I take her recommendations seriously. Now I'm a "Duchess" at this chiropractic office, so I clearly like his work. He knows what he's doing, he cares about his patients, and he has an office in Mountain View and another in San Francisco. The main issue we're working on is TMJ, and I've felt some improvement. He addresses whatever else happens to be going on when I show up (back, neck, shoulders, etc.), and is super nice. Dr. Chan was amazing. My daughter was experiencing back pain from working on feet and I had neck/shoulder pain from a car accident years back. I called early on a Saturday morning to request an adjustment after spending several days with moderate to severe pain and discomfort in my upper back, shoulders, and neck. Dr. Chan called me back personally and asked if I could come in immediately, 30 minutes before the practice actually opened. Dr. Chan is a miracle worker! When I visited him the first time, he took a quick look at me and then he asked to see my shoes. What?! What do shoes have to do with my back?! Turns out my hips and spine were totally misaligned. He said "I bet one of your shoe heels is much more worn down than the other." He was absolutely right - I never noticed. His office is clean and comfortable. I often fall asleep from the heat, the electrical stimulation pads, the aromatic lotion, and the soothing music. Dr Chan is great. My husband first went with Dr Chan when he sprained his back/hip. Dr Chan able to fix within a few visits. First visit already fix most, he can walk without the deep pain. Ditto, when I sprained my neck. Now I really understand what it means pain in the neck. It was alot of pain to even drive. After first visit, I would say fixed about 80%. After the session, driving can be with easy. But the neck sprain did need a second visit. Also want to mention the Office Admin, Jennifer, is great. She makes sure the insurance coverage and payment are coordinated. We know exactly how much copay, out of pocket and deductible we are dealing with going in. We had went with another Chiropractor before. He was not completely honest. He would say he takes UnitedHealth Care PPO, but it was as NOT IN NETWORK, so we have to meet some amount of deductible to be partially covered. He was helpful, but we ended up have to pay the full 100 for that visit. We now go to Dr Chan for monthly maintenance. And when we have unexpected sprains we know who we can go to. Dr Chan's schedule can be quite busy. So, the only con is at times not able to get an appointment immediately when one really needed it. read more
