I've been with Comcast for years and years. For the most part they are good and efficient. They…read moredon't wow you or anything like that... Our consumer advocate in resident Clark Howard https://clark.com/ calls them "Comcast, customer no service" but last time I checked he was also with Comcast having had it with Dish. I recently got a new neighbor and when he had people install internet service or whatever they were doing...it screwed up our internet on the block...no surprise there. Everytime the wind or a Kardashian has another kid my internet is down....luckily I live near a Starbucks and I can just use theirs... My number one complaint is when they have to come out they give you a time like "we'll be there between "10am to 4pm" That really pin points it down... Yesterday my internet was down and I spent 20 minutes on the phone with a tech. He was super but that's the exception. The first time I called...they told me to turn the device off for 10 minutes and then turn it back on? What did you get that from a 12 years old...seriously... I guess unless Netflix gets better movies on their thingie I'm stuck with Comcast for now..

I get a text 2 hours AFTER my appointment window saying they need to reschedule, I picked a time they failed to show again after sitting there all day so I said I didn't want the service, so they said everything was cancelled and I took the equipment back. Well I get a notification they charged my card for a while month of service! And then 2 days later charged me AGAIN THE SAME AMOUNT! I called and they said they would remove my payment information and refund my money, well.. they charged me one more time so now I'm trying to get almost 500 back and never got the first second of service. STILL have not received my money back!! Customer service is horrible they keep saying we mailed a card but that's it I keep telling them I haven't received it, and they keep telling me to wait another 7-10 days! This is horrible!!

Four months ago, I went to the AT&T store at 62 5th Street NW to set up both cell phone and…read moreinternet service after moving to Atlanta. In-store, I was told I qualified for FirstNet based on my profession. I verified my employment and enrolled in that plan at the quoted rate. During internet installation, the technician arrived two hours after the four-hour service window. More concerning, he incorrectly entered my email address and created a separate account without my knowledge. As a result, my internet service was later shut off for "nonpayment" even though I had paid and actually had credits on my account. I spent hours on the phone during my work-from-home day, missing important client calls, untangling an account setup error that originated during installation. I was charged a $40 restoration fee despite having paid my bill. To this day, my accounts remain separate and continue causing issues, despite multiple representatives telling me they have been combined. I am currently on the phone with AT&T again during my workday because the system still shows two accounts. The most serious issue occurred when I was later told I no longer qualified for FirstNet and needed to verify my employment again. While on the phone attempting to resolve this and switch to a standard plan, I was involved in a car accident. I informed the representative that I needed to call 911. I was told my service was being switched and that I could make the call. After calling 911, my phone service was completely disconnected. For hours, as I waited for police alone, I could not call my family. I could not access GPS. Police were unable to reach me when they attempted to call back. AT&T had cut off the service I pay for--during an active emergency. I ultimately had to walk away from the accident scene and ask strangers to use their phones. After my boyfriend arrived and allowed me to use his phone, I spent over 90 minutes getting my service restored. After escalating the issue and spending additional hours on the phone, I was offered a $25 "courtesy credit." This is not a minor billing issue. Disconnecting service during an emergency because of internal account and plan confusion is unacceptable. I cannot recommend this location based on how this account was set up and the cascade of issues that followed. If you use this store, verify every detail of your account in writing and double-check your plan eligibility before leaving.

Absolutely unacceptable experience with AT&T FirstNet. I've…read morebeen trying to order the new 13-inch iPad Pro for two weeks now and have had six orders canceled -- three of which were placed in-store. Still nothing. The customer service at both the Georgia Tech and Summerhill AT&T locations has been horrendous. The staff is uninformed, disorganized, and frankly, unhelpful. No one can give a straight answer, and no one seems to know what they're doing. I've wasted hours going back and forth trying to make a simple purchase. While I've generally been satisfied with the FirstNet service itself, this situation has been so frustrating that I'm seriously considering canceling my account altogether. If this is how FirstNet treats first responders, it's shameful. All I want is an iPad -- this shouldn't be this difficult.

Dish Network advertises as having the best value when it comes to TV channels…read more We have had Comcast for Cable service and have opted to keep just the Internet service and get rid of the Cable. Comparing Comcast to Dish Network, the monthly bill comes out to be about the same, for both companies. We opted to go back To Dish Network, as they offered us a discounted rate for 12 months. We find that we get a lot of Infomercial channels, shopping channels and religious channels, compared to regular programming channels. We aren't fans of these channels and often find ourselves flipping through channels to find something to watch. While we do occasionally lose signal, during storms, it isn't lost for very long, like some people complain about. We feel that Dish Network could provide a better value, then what they claim to offer in there commercials. When calling there customer service, we are often speaking with a customer service rep outside of the US and often find communication difficult, as English is not there strongest language. Dishnetwork now requires new customers to sign a 2 - year contract agreement. Many companies are now doing this, even though we are living in tough economical times. While one could argue, you have the choice not to agree to the terms and conditions, a company should be a little more customer friendly, especially when the customer falls into hard times and needs to make sacrifices. Over all Dish Network is alright. Any cable provider will charge what they want to charge and really, there isn't any real value to any provider you choose to go with. They all end up being about the same price in the long run.
