3/19/26: A spectrum electrician was sent to my building approximately sometime mid morning today. Our address has multiple lines attached to one house because we are all split into different apartments. After having confirmed the security code of the account they were dealing with, they proceeded to cut every internet line to the house, and refused to apologize or take blame. Nobody but spectrum cut our lines, and it's very obvious the company is very disorganized. I'm a father of 5, I live with roommates and had bought internet that would accommodate 10 people in one house. The internet was split among us because it was 180 a month. Little did i know that they had faster internet available for only 40 dollars a month and they neglected to tell me until i went in to cancel. They are crooks and cheats i will never do business with them again. read more

I bought a house with old Spectrum /Charter overhead wire/s. All of thier 833, 855, 866, and 888 numbers get you extensive AI. Finally I get a human 2,500 miles away. I just wanted leftoever equipment removed. So it's coproate send me to "internet services" This man in another state gives me a ticket number, or pretends to. Then a man calls me from a third state said they are coming. A Lie. all of those numbers can't or won't look up the ticket number because I dont have an account - I don't want one either. I had spectrum last winter. They were incredibly hard to reach, hard to schedule, and subpar. I stopped service in December in Okanogan County and moved back to Seattle. I had to put all of my things in storage for a time period that was longer than intended. During my stay at my new address, I applied for mail forwarding and continued to receive calls and emails on the same phone number and email addresses that I have had for the last 5+ years. Today, I get a text that I almost dismissed as spam. It seemed like a likely scam - a collections agency with a vague reference to a debt with a telecommunications company. I investigated and called the collections agency only to be threatened that if I did not pay $150 that my credit would take a hit that could not be removed. Wow! I have great credit and do not want nor deserve to be threatened in this way. So, I called spectrum, who I had paid out before I moved, and said "hey, sorry about forgetting to return your equipment. I moved in December in the mountains in Washington, scheduling my uhaul trip between pass closures and shoveling my way out of a roof collapse. Why is it that the first time I am hearing about this it is accompanied by a threat?" They circled around with excuses and said that they can't be blamed for the credit agency. Actually, guys, you can. There was no attempt to contact me and I call into question the legality (much less the ethicality) of this sequence of events. read more

Very disappointed, I disconnected services with them a few days into the month and was never told I would have to pay for the entire month regardless. I told the rep when we disconnected that I had chosen another service and he did not mention at all that I would have to keep paying for Spectrum for the remaining month. When I called about why my bill was not changed to reflect only a few days of service I was informed that they operate like Netflix and not like other service providers. You are on a Subscription plan and it even though I has to return the equipment right away I was still paying them. read more

I can not believe the poor treatment I just received. In all the insanity that is moving. They were not contacted until 4/1/20 to have the service disconnected. When I contacted them to find out why I received a bill for the full amount the representative stated that the service was not disconnected properly and because the service was not stopped on 3/31/20 I would have to pay for the full month.. first of all I haven't been there since 3/24 and live in another state where there service is not available. Secondly the other members of the household have also moved to another state. So apparently they have absolutely no grace or customer service at ALL. They only care about the money that they are making. Total pond scum. If I EVER live anywhere again where they are the service provider, I will go without rather than give them a single penny!!! read more

Well, it's March 2020. Time for an edit. While the customer service was better than previous experiences, we have changed to Dish. Spectrum (Charter) cable is horrible! We had numerous issues with their dvr. Freezing during replay. Trying to do a search so we could record a show was a pain in the neck. Not sure if one must pay extra to get dvr's 'networked' but if you record a show in one room, it won't appear in another rooms' dvr. If you record anything, you can't do more than two at a time and watch anything live w/o canceling something you wanted to record. We have their internet and haven't had any issues, but their cable service leaves quite a bit to be desired. The last straw was the local channel (KIMA) kept freezing up. When my husband called to cancel Spectrum they wanted him to pay his bill right away. Ugh, how about they unfreeze the channel first. read more

Went in to exchange a cable box that kept shutting itself off. Lady working was rude and snappy. After she got us our new box she bagged it up and practically slammed it down on the counter top. Very poor customer service. read more

The people who work in the store are so helpful and kind, it's really hard to believe that the company they represent is so horrible. The Internet service is so spotty and slow. It will regularly disconnect or be down for hours at a time. Being one of the only Internet service providers in town means they don't need to bother with decent service because there is no better option, which is sad. They have a tendency to make some really weird mistakes as well and follow these mistakes with terrible customer service. Some examples include shutting off Internet at the wrong address, giving me cable for a year when I don't have a tv and then hoping I would pay for it (wtf?), and spelling my name incorrectly for the duration of me using their services. Whenever you call them to fix their errors they are very apologetic, but it takes forever for them to find and address the problem. Everyone who has used their service has similar stories of their ineptitude. To top it off, they call you from their various call centers around the U.S. to promote charter spectrum and send junk mail. You will block one number and five more will call. If zero was an option that is what they would get. Charter has spotty service, when the internet is down all day their response is 'let me credit you for a day' (Geez, how generous for you to refund me .75 cents!) It is so inconvenient to have inconsistent service. I am tired of having to re-arrange meetings and work because of their 'disruptions.' In the last two months in particular it seems like their internet has slowed down dramatically, even though the speed tests show no difference. The equipment they provide may be part of the problem but who knows, they wouldn't own up to it. And to top it off...they constantly send me junkmail trying to get me to sign up for their services! As if i would want more of their unreliable products! I have called and emailed numerous times to be put on the privacy list to not receive mail, but it seemed to only get me three times as much. read more

My complaint about Charter is the cost they charge for cable and internet service. I am on a fixed income and I am 76 years old. I have talked to Charter many times and explained that I cant pay my bill that keeps rising in cost .They act like they care and will lower my bill a few dollars and than raise it a couple of dollars each month until my bill is now $177.00 this month. To add injury to insult HBO is now loaded with Spanish movies and they removed Cinamax with out warning and replaced it with Movieplex which is old westerns and old movies that suck.I intend to call and warn them one last time. I have been a customer for over twenty five years. The time for me to change to another service is long past due. Either work with me so I can afford your service or I am gone. read more

Really? What can I say? The staff is helpful however their service to customers is lacking for what we pay for. Never fails that you have guests and watching a game and then it goes into the toilet. Please only charge for the service we receive! read more

Cable/internet always going out no matter where I live. It's been happening non stop for about five years now and hasn't gotten any better. Hopefully one day someone else like version can come out here so we don't have to deal with this nonsense. read more
