There's no value in being private client. I tried calling the branch. They don't answer phones. Ok, so I go in for a notary then they say there's no notary go to another branch, I go to 4th st then the notary says he won't help me because it's a non chase document. Chase has notarized docs for me before. Hey Chase, notary is a normal service that OTHER banks do. So I go into the Burlingame branch to try to talk to the branch manager. I hate to write a bad review to someone. This is my first bad review in my life. I am so disappointed with the Chase Burlingame location. I spoke with Diana, who is a bank branch to stop charging me for a deposit box months ahead of when my fee was due because I didn't use it. She promised she would take care of it. But 2 months after I was charged the fee. I came back and talked to her/Diana again about why I got charged even though we already canceled it. She said, no worries the money will be refunded to my account but it never came. I met her again last week 6 months before Easter Sunday. She didn't want to follow up her on the promise. It was easy for her, said, she couldn't help but she gave an #1800 number so I had to follow up by myself. It is such an ignored thing that all mistakes, on my busy schedule but I have to complete the work myself. I ended up calling #1800 and talking to the reps. The #1800 reps said, the bank branch needed to call her to fix it, not me. The 800 rep said, "They never got any phone calls from the bank branch to cancel this deposit box. " So I got back to the bank the same day, couldn't find Diana and left a note to Diana to please call me back but she never called me back. It is sad as much as my family and I love this bank, I don't think we will use this bank anymore! read more

I have been a regular customer at this. Ranch for n me any years while I lived in Burlingame. I have since moved to Brisbane but kept my safe deposit boxes (3) there. I just installed a safe in my home and wanted to close out the boxes. I spoke with a customer service gentleman on the phone who suggested I make an appointment and gave me a time. His name was Mr. Singh. I got notices on Tuesday and Wednesday reminding me of the appointment. Both I and my partner rearranged our schedules to meet the appointment; but when we showed up there was a sign on the door that the branch was indefinitely closed and no information was available from anywhere. Alarmed, I tried to track down someone to help. The beach was closed from Thursday and then reopened on Tuesday. When I talked to the manager on Tuesday, she insisted that people were notified unless an appointment was made online (which mine was not). She told me to come in again without an appointment and would close the boxes for me. She said the COVID caused the shorthand news, but gave no explanation as to why I wasn't informed of the closure, and said she could not guarantee it would no ot happen again. I had a terrible experience at the Burlingame branch on Chapin rd today. First off all, I was going to open a new account at your branch as I've just moved to the neighborhood and you're branch is right next to my condo, but that's out of the question now. I went to deposit a check into a Chase client's account. The teller refused to deposit my check without the full account number. I deposited it last month without the account number. She said she was the branch manager and she wouldn't allow it and she turned and rudely walked away to her office. She was EXTREMELY ARROGANT and UNPROFESSIONAL! She was stone faced from the moment I walked up to the counter. She shouldn't be working with the public as she has 0 customer relations skills. Her name is Persian or Armenian and I didn't write it down. Please train your staff to be more polite and professional. I am shocked at how Chase handles clients and will never do business with your bank. I will also sell off my JP morgan shares. read more

I deposited $5000 cash into the ATM and got a receipt spit out saying that the deposit did not go through. I talked to the employees telling them I need the deposit so that I could pay my mortgage. It's been over two weeks since they told me the issue would be resolved within 10 days. They refused to credit my account first so that I could pay my mortgage and have barely heard from them since. I had to scrape money together from other places so that I could pay my mortgage on time and now it's like they are holding my money hostage. Everyone is nice at this bank when you open an account or if you want to refi your house but no one can do anything to help when something goes wrong. read more

Nice spot for Chase bank in downtown Burlingame. The staff here are friendly and the inside of the bank is spacious. Being a customer at Chase for quite some time, I don't recall having a bad experience at any of their branch locations. I'm definitely coming here if I am in the area with any banking transactions to take care of. The location of this branch was a little hard to find at first. This is the only downer I have, other than that they are located along a corridor where a lot offices are. This bank is within walking distance from Burlingame Public Library and Caltrain Station! read more

I've never been to this location before so maybe I caught them on a bad day where they are short staffed. I came here to get something printed out. Takes maybe 5-10 mins tops. I've been in their waiting area for about 30 mins with others who had likely been waiting longer. I got called finally and the guy was able to help me quickly, of course. In the future, if I just need a teller, I don't mind coming here but for services that require a bank, better hold off for another location. read more

I don't usually write reviews of others unless they are top notch. However, this is one that is completely inexcusable. My college child and I had a horrifying experience with the branch manager/VP, Jenny B. at this Chase Branch. Her attitude was terrible and she has a preconceived notion that the customer is always wrong. I can't believe that when Chase makes a mistake and loses a customer's cash at the time of a new account set up, they blamed the customer for not giving the cash. This is when a computer generated receipt with the banker's name and the amount was presented, she claims another "grocery market like" receipt should also be provided at the time of deposit even though the cash was not given to a teller. When my 19 year old asked if Jenny could speak to mom, she refused citing she can only speak to the account holder. When we approached her at the branch she asked to take the conversation outside of the bank. With my child (the account holder) by my side, she refused to speak to me about my child's account citing account holder privilege. It was not until I had to provide her with a power of attorney and cited that I'm my child's attorney in fact. She continues to refuse to serve us. We were treated like second class citizens. As a Burlingame resident for more than 18 years, I've never been treated this way by a banker. Don't come here hoping to get help! If depositing money with a banker (not a teller) get a receipt. read more

This branch would not do a small deposit to my business because of checks made out to my DBA (on bank file) instead of the corporate biz name. Waited for far too long. I don't think the understand why a DBA even is. Finally told them forget it give me the checks back, went outside to the ATM got it done in 30 seconds. read more

I have been banking with WAMU for some time and have an abundance of horror stories. I have a variety of accounts with them including a business account. In just a few weeks they were able to royally screw up because of their incompetent staff including their assistant manager Jaime. Lets just say the staff feels they can do whatever they want with your money and banks accounts. I had a few problems with bank errors and approached management about the problems and they said it was my problem and I had to figure it out. DON'T BANK HERE! There is always a line and there tellers are super slow. I can go on and on about this bank. Lets just say I am in the process of closing all my accounts. read more

I love this bank. The tellers are so helpful and patient. I go to bryan and he's always been so great about helping and explaining whatever I need. Whenever Bryan isn't there, they have me go to Amir or whoever is available and they are all extremely helpful and nice! Don't know what that guy was so annoyed about but the service is excellent. They did make one bank error, but they immediately fixed it and apologized for the mixup. read more
