I opened a new savings account with Chris, and right after I went home from the bank, I checked online that I was actually eligible to get the CASH Bonus (which I believe $200) and I did not get or was informed at the time when I opened this new savings account. The next day I called and spoke to Chris, and he was fully aware about the bonus (but hey.. still did not inform me at the time), and asked me if I could provide him with the offer code. I gave him the offer code, when he tried to enter, it could not be applied because the account was already opened. He then told me that the code should be applied right when the account was open (Yes, and you should be nice enough to tell me about it!!!). So I lost the CASH bonus I was eligible for. Chris told me that he should not be the person who inform be about the cash bonus because that promotion comes from marketing department. I don't buy his excuse, and I don't understand why someone can not be nice enough to tell the customers any promotion that they are entitled too??? And why he even told me about the Chase credit card points rewards for that month if everything should come from the marketing department? Another thing is: When I opened the account, I clearly told Chris to set up automatic payment for my Safe Deposit Box, but I still got a letter from Chase saying I haven't paid for the safe deposit box!!! What are you doing, Chris??? DID YOU EVER LISTENED TO THE CUSTOMER??? I am a very long time customers (more than 10 years) for Chase Credit Cards. Never thought I'd write a review for a bank but here I am...their service was that bad! I walked into the bank at 3:40, only to be told by the banker that the bank closes at 4pm. That still gives me twenty minutes!! They don't know about any of the promotions Chase is running, don't know anything about upgrading credit cards (kept telling me it's not a thing, even though I was able to do it later on the phone!), and generally are extremely rude, abrupt and angry people. Chase should fire the people who work here because it's giving the service a horrible name, and losing customers. They really need to re-evaluate one banker in particular, the one I had the horrible displeasure of meeting: Karina Ghor. Horrible lady, extremely unprofessional and racist. read more

I run a business and recently opened a business account with this branch. The service is horrible. While the individuals are pleasant and try hard, I have wasted a lot of time trying to get results out of them and find that they make a lot of mistakes (checks don't arrive, credit cards don't arrive, they don't know how to process simple transactions). The worst part is that when you call the branch, they often don't pick up the phone. You can't leave a message, you just need to keep trying to call back. To solve this issue, I have gone in physically a few times and found that I am often left waiting for 20 or 30 minutes. Again, everyone is pleasant, but I don't have time to waste on dealing with their inadequacies. Avoid this bank. read more

I got in at 5:30 and wanted to open a checking/savings account for my brother, however, they were short staffed and advised us that it would take 40+ minutes to open an account so we shouldn't waste our time to wait. I've opened account before, and it doesn't take that long. I feel like I was only told this so I would just leave and not keep someone from staying a little longer. This is unfortunate because I get off work at this time and is the only time I can come in with my brother. Did not like the customer service. I'll be looking elsewhere. read more

I would never have thought to write a review on a bank... My bank closed and Chase bought the business by offering a promo to all the customers. I viewed all big banks (Chase, Wells Fargo, BofA) as equally likely to give me the impersonal, nickel-diming service that seems typical these days from big corporations so I went with the promo, and chose the Chase branch at Broadway and El Camino since it was closest to my home. I have been pleasantly surprised by Chase and this branch. You can't walk through the bank with at least 2 people saying "hi" to you and asking how they can help you. Kelly, the new account manager, was very helpful in opening the account, and has called me at least twice to make sure everything is going well (and it is). They seem happy to have me show up inside the branch (versus shooing me out to use the ATM machine), and the line has never been more than 2 people long. Again, I have been positively surprised by the level of service at this branch and given that Chase's product line up (checking, saving, credit card, loans) is competitive, I would highly recommend them. read more

Walked in to open a business account. All bankers were sitting in their cubicles with no clients but tellers were with customers. Banker walks up and asks what I needed and said "Hmm, let me see what I can do." He was chatting with another banker and never returned after 20 minutes of waiting. I just got up and left. Horrible customer service. Went down the street to Wells Fargo on Broadway and received first class customer service. I was very disappointed in Chase. read more

I came in here on Friday around 5 30 and was just asking around if they had any good promotions. I was already looking around for a savings account and my friend happened to need to make a withdraw from Chase anyways. So I came in and asked about promos. This branch didn't have any going on currently, but there was a mail promotion going on that one of the workers had an extra of. Someone had handed it to the bank because they received 2 and didn't need it. The lady who helped me was super nice and explained everything in detail and was not pushy at all for anything. Important point, I hate pushy people and so I really liked the service. It was fast and they helped me set up the promotional checking account and some other services. I worked with both the regular mortgage banking group and the mortgage banker out of the private bank. In both cases, the bankers didn't seem to understand their business and what they told me turned out to be unreliable. This was my first experience with Chase, and I won't be back. read more

This bank/location is probably one of the worst financial institution ever. EVERY TIME i come in this branch i only see 2 tellers. Majority of the time theres only one teller available. Today, i lost a debit card and would like to get a replacement card. I asked the teller who can help me and she said both bankers are busy and to just have a seat. 20 minutes passed by and not one employee apologized for the wait or even acknowledge the fact that someone's waiting. I dont know what's going on in this bank, it seems like it doesn't have enough funds to keep their employees or hire more. Im definitely closing my account and will never come back here. read more

Went in today only needing something as simple as quarters. Long line, only 1 teller and 2 nicely dressed men working. Apparently the nicer you dress the less you have to do because the well dressed men were wondering around aimlessly. FINALLY get to the teller only to find out they don't have access to the safe which means no quarters. REALLY? The teller asks, "didn't you hear me tell another customer we can't give out quarters?" Ummm no I didn't because I don't tend to eavesdrop on other peoples banking transactions (weird huh?) I asked for a manager only to find out there is none because she no longer works there. Easiest solution to this whole problem would have been to inform customers of the situation before making them wait in line to find out. Apparently working for this branch doesn't require common sense or care for the customer. YOU ARE A NATIONAL CHAIN THAT HANDLES PEOPLES MONEY AND MAKES GOOD MONEY DOING SO. After 42 years with the same account number and the bank going thru numerous owners Chase has had our business banking account for the past 7 years. WE have written numerous checks written for large sums every year, including 2016, Chase Bank was unable due a wire transfer of due to a signature card not being on file. The funds WERE AVAILABLE for a close of Escrow BUT NOT accessible for a wire transfer OR cashier's check because they said there was no signature card on file. After producing the partnership agreement, fictitious name recording, identification and presence of both partners and waiting 45 minutes they said it would take 4-5 days to get the monies available. All it took was a call to our other financial institution and our wire was done in 20 minutes. Now we are stuck with trying to close the account and tying up a large sum of money for days. No longer doing business there EVER. read more
