Came here on Saturday around noon to open a couple of accounts. The place was dead. There were two tellers and one customer service rep. . The customer service rep was helping a customer. One teller was helping a customer, the other just standing there and I was next in line. When I walked up to the teller I said I was there to open a couple of accounts Her reply was well we're busy today. So I asked if there was no one available and she said let me check. She walked inside one of the offices where another customer service rep was talking on his cell phone. She came back out and said their day was completely booked and she could make an appointment for Monday. I guess I will continue with my credit union even though it's far and inconvenient, at least every time I visit the credit union there is always plenty of reps to help everyone out read more

The plan was to get in and get out as quickly as possible. And that's exactly what happened! I just needed to make a withdrawal for a cashier's check. Only one person ahead of me so my quckie in-and-out plan was pretty much in the bag. There was only one teller and her customer looked like whatever transactions she had was going to be complicated. Another decided to open up a window since the line behind me got long all of a sudden. (3 or maybe 4 people in a matter of a couple of minutes? I came in at a good time!) While doing my transaction, the teller (possibly a supervisor) asked if I was interested in opening a checking account. I declined immediately (because I really don't need it) but he gave me something to think about when he said I would get free services included should I consider it due to my account's standings: free safe deposit box and no-fee cashier's checks were the ones that hooked my interest. He was multitasking and completed my transaction as well as gathered paperwork to review should I be interested. I was literally out of there less than 5 minutes. It was a really good and quick run! I have no idea what happens in this part of town, but I was using the ATM around 730PM 2 weeks ago and the main part of the ATM was burned off and it was sharp and dangerous. While I was pulling money out, so lady was at the other ATM screaming and hitting the machine. These ATMS need to be moved on the inside for our safety and security. This is a great branch where one banker in particular, Kyle, was able to resolve a number of issues for us that a different branch had been unable to resolve. He took problems that other branches hadn't been able to resolve for us across 5+ visits and 7+ hours and he resolved them all himself in under an hour! Not only was he able to resolve them, but he explained each resolution in clear and helpful ways. When we had follow-up questions a few weeks later, Kyle was very knowledgeable and responsive regarding those questions, too. Good customer service can be hard to find and Kyle gave us some of the best customer service we've experienced in a long time. I was on the fence about opening a business acct at Chase or my Credit Union. I've attempted to open a business acct at this location 3 times. One time the only business rep was with a customer for awhile and he asked me to come back later so I left to run errands. When I returned ten minutes later he was leaving for lunch and asked me to come back even later. I wasn't happy with that, but decided to give them a try again today. The third time I sat for over a half hour and waited with one rep sitting on the phone another returned from lunch and just walked past me several times, with one acknowledgment when they came to get the other couple waiting before me. I left again to run errands and returned with not a single parking space in the lot. I guess they really wanted me to open my acct at my Credit Union. read more

Absolutely outrageously rude treatment on the part of one of the tellers on Friday 1/18/19. Our family owns a business in El Segundo and I was sent to get about $160 in change. We have a personal account at Chase and business accounts at other banks. In addition we have several credit cards with Chase. Teller refused to give me change for the full $160 because I didn't remember our account number and forgot the atm card. I was planning on opening a business account for the store at this branch next month. That's not happening after how I was treated. I will never set foot in this branch again. I'll be taking our business accounts to Wells Fargo or Bank of America on PCH now. read more

I recently opened a high school checking account for my daughter. This is an awesome little branch with very personal customer service. Also this location is NEVER busy so no lines ever :P After we opened the account, my daughter and I walked over to Coldstones Creamery to test out her new debit card but it didn't work. We went back to talk to our banker and he verified the account was active and the funds should have been available considering the account was opened with cash. It turns out that it just needed a business day and I recently got a message from our banker (Felix) to follow up and ask if my daughter's account was ok. I also opened my accounts here when I used to live nearby and the bankers @ this location have always been very helpful whether in person and are always accessible by phone. * I especially love Chase's mobile app on my iphone! My daughter and I both have it : we can constantly check our balances, transfer money from my account to hers and deposit checks all from our mobile devices anywhere, everywhere! read more

This is a decent bank in a small plaza. There's never much of a line and they don't have bulletproof glass between you and the teller! That's got to be a good sign of a safe neighborhood, right? I went in to get a cashier's check and my teller was great at suggesting alternatives to save on fees. He was very patient and took care of my needs. Some of the customers must be regulars because they were very friendly with some of that ladies in the back area of the bank. They were understaffed at the desks out front though - I guess they really only have one guy handling those duties and he was out for lunch. read more

I honestly have never been to a bank that isn't jam packed with people waiting to be assisted so when I came to this branch I was quite surprised and pretty happy that I would be in and out. I needed to wire some money (two separate occasions) so I needed someone to actually help me. There wasn't a clip board where you can write your name down on a waiting list so I just sat down where a person told me to sit and wait for a banker. I waited and still no one would come and help me out. I stood up and asked the person who told me to wait if any of the bankers that I see not assisting people would be able to help me out. Finally one of them helped me and after 15 minutes to process a wire transfer I was out. I was pretty disappointed, but figured maybe it was a one off situation. On my second trip for a wire transfer the same events that took place the first time happened. I was waiting while there were available bankers and finally someone came over to help when I asked if I could get someone to assist me. This time the wire took longer because the banker might have been newer. He also input the wire information incorrectly. If it wasn't for him asking me to look over the document before he put it through he wouldn't have caught that mistake. Mind you the transfer information was printed out by me and not written by hand so it is somewhat baffling that the banker would not be able to read printed text, but that is neither here nor there. 2 so so visits would normally be enough for me never to come back, but this location is a stones throw from my job so it is convenient. You know what I realized? Convenience doesn't outweigh quality of service. I went one final time to do something with my IRA. Again I was asked to sit and wait for a banker. I sat there for 15 minutes and instead of asking one of the bankers that wasn't busy to help me I just left and went to a bank by my house. I know this is an isolated experience for me, but it happened on 3 different occasions. Once I walked in and heard a banker say buy to a customer as if they were buddies. I thought I could probably build that type of experience, but I don't think it is going to happen. I will come to this location to take out money, though, because that is easy as pie here. read more

Chase has some of the friendliest tellers and agents that I have ever encountered. They greet you immediately upon entering the bank and are always smiling. The tellers are very capable of answering any questions and guiding you to the best solutions. They are always so kind to my 12 year old son that he actually asks if we can go there...lol The only drawback is that many times there is a long line but its definitely worth it for the customer service. read more

I went in to the Chase yesterday, Thusday, April 26th in the morning. I went to sign up and bank with them. The ladies at the cashiers were very nice in assisting me, and had me sit down and wait for a banker. After a few minutes of waiting for a banker, they figured out there was only one available and he was busy at the present moment. They ask me if I'd like a call when he was available instead of waiting in branch for an extended period of time. A nice gesture, i appreciated it. I was assured the banker would call me as soon as he was available, and that I would be taken care of. I left, waited and waited, the call didn't come. I was able to go to another bank, sign up, and finish my buisness and still hadn't received the call. The call finally came AT 5:52 PM! I missed it, and the banker told me he'd get to me another day. Okay, so now, i'm going to try to break this down in my head. Look, in all honesty, I came in in my pajamas with my moccasins on. I'm a young guy with facial hair that looks absolutely disgusting, but I was pushed to the right, disregarded, and disrespected, because I did not fit the bill for the usual client with money. Not only did they push me to the right, but homeboy called literally 1 minute before he was going to hang up on me and clock out, just so he didn't have to deal with me. They don't want me as a customer there. Thats fine, they won't have me. However I'm going to wage war on this specific spot on the earth. The average star rating on this branch is about to be .01. I do have a full time job, but my new second full time job is wrecking this branch. I wish the owner good luck. Get rid of it now bossman, cuz i'm pullin this shit down with me, like the kraken I am. Chase has ZERO customer service. I have been to two different Chase Banks and neither can solve the problem. I have called online banking to no avail. Manager at this branch called me on Friday and assured me someone would be calling me this morning, to assist with the issue I am experiencing. No call. Went to bank to make a couple of deposits and only able to make one via ATM. The other I had to stand in line to make the deposit. Two different cards, each with two different accounts, one savings & one checking. Each time I use a card the same checking & savings show up. Tried to change preferences on both to no avail. Whatever you do with one card effects the other card. Even though when I go into the bank, each card shows the correct one check or savings account. Never had problems with other banks, just Chase. read more

They have told me before they are short on staff but it seems to be this way every time I come to this branch. I came here this Thursday morning at 9:30am and still had to sit down to wait to talk to someone. Last time I will be coming to this branch. Chase bank El Segundo- 500 Sepulveda Blvd I started banking at this branch partly because they had a wonderful banker who was always very helpful and made banking a pleasure-she got relocated closer to her home. I opened more and larger accounts even though their interest rates were not the highest. The staff was nice but when I asked for some documents which were missing and asked them to be mailed they were snt and left on the doorstep of a building I own where there is a sign not to leave mail for me. The envelope was open and had personal information and copies of personal checks,etc even though the Manager and branch had my address for mail all of the time since before the wonderful banker left. . I received a letter from a finance company to refinance a loan and I did not have any loan with any bank but the finance company sent me a document in July which showed that some neighbor took out a loan from Chase and the Chase loan to them was placed as a lien on my property. When I notified the manager , she called on July 21 or earlier and we both were told by a lady who answered in Manila Philippines that she would take care of it. Since then the Bank would not answer letters from me or the branch manager other than to tell us to call some lady in Ohio who never ever was reachable. I had to threaten litigation and they still have not corrected the lien they placed on my property in Manhattan Beach , This branch is not a good bank branch -It does not have toilets for the public (they tell you go to the starbucks restroom across an alley), and when I call for a question I and all other customers almost always receive a recording claiming the branch is too busy to answer the calls and to call an 800 number which I have been left hanging on recordings for over a half hour or more and I have to hang up, The manager is pleasant but not often in the branch during the branch hours . She told me now that she is unable to help me by orders of her supervisors. I do not recommend this branch. One half of a star is the rating I would give. read more
