Even the manager goes out of his way to really help clients when they are there and the regulars know him by name. As a regular here they make you feel like family or a good friend! WOW.... THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED. I've been banking with Chase for over 10 years now and decided to come into this branch because this was where I originally opened my accounts at. Not only have their been a turnover in staff members, but the quality of customer service have also diminished. There was a long line for the tellers and nobody was in the lobby to greet customers for a good 10 minutes. When I was able to make eye contact with someone that worked there, she finally came out to the lobby with a tablet. But then she proceeded to help all of the customers waiting in line that came in AFTER me before helping me out. I cannot tell if it was an intentional thing, but she was bilingual and therefore helped all of the Spanish speakers first. So i guess they don't care about who comes in first or not anymore... Awful system! Once she got to me, she refused to help me with my banking needs... She claimed all of the bankers were tied up at the moment and that I needed to book an appointment. When I asked her questions and for her to give me alternative options she blamed that they can't help me without an appointment because of "covid" and that she doesn't know so it's best for me to use my chase app for FAQs and appointment making. Mind you, she was FREE to help me and 2 more bankers were just standing around the lobby chatting with each other and were NOT tied up. So she lacked problem solving skills, too. Lastly, this is ultimately why they get a 1-star review even though I know covid should be a huge factor into considering... After my interaction at this Chase branch, I went to the one on Brookhurst and Chapman and they helped me IMMEDIATELY. They greeted me at the door even though they were busy. They gave me options and helped me book an appointment for the same day and also gave me the option of waiting around as a walk in appointment. They did everything in their power with my banking needs and guess what? I was helped and seated with a personal banker within 15 minutes!!! So I'm sorry, but this branch on Harbor is just poorly managed and unprofessional. Go to a different branch so you don't get a horrible Chase experience. read more

Came here on a weekday afternoon to open a checking account, and it was packed! I was surprised and dreaded a wait, but a very friendly flow coordinator greeted me and wrote my name down on a waitlist. I sat down on one of the couches and proceed to play games on my phone. After awhile (just when I was getting impatient), I was called, and the lady who was tasked to open the account was really helpful. Throughout the process, she made small talk when there was stuff loading on the computer but at the same time, she didn't waste any time. The customer service was great. She was thorough and treated me like a familiar, returning customer even though it was my first time at this branch. The line for the clerk service seemed a bit long though.. Customer service is good, and luckily I wasn't in a hurry. If you are in a hurry, I would recommend a different Chase. However, they have staff that speak multiple languages here including Vietnamese, Spanish, and English. read more

Came here to cash my paycheck because my boss doesn't offer direct deposit and Citibank was going to put a 3 business day hold on my funds. I arrived at the bank at 11:00 am and was in line for 30 minutes with only 1 person ahead of me. There were only 2 tellers as the 3rd put up a "next window" sign as soon as I got up to the front of the line. Worst, slowest, customer service ever. I wouldn't switch banks if they paid me, even though my own is not much better. It is a Friday during lunch time and there are 5 people in line behind me with only 2 tellers open. This location used to be a Washington Mutual. I've had WaMu ever since I held a job. JP Morgan Chase took over WaMu when the bank failed. During this time, many banks went bankrupt and had to close. One of the bleakest times in recent history. The service has always been great. There is plenty of parking. Also, they have 24 hour ATMs located on Brookhurst St. side. The transition from WaMu to Chase has been fairly easy. I still use my WaMu checks and my same login for online banking. Customer service via phone is great as well. I also like the fact that they have remote deposit through their mobile app, which saves time when depositing checks. Just be forewarned, Chase will be implementing new criteria where checking accounts will not be free anymore. It will be about $10/ month, which I think is kind of steep. I guess they have to recoup their money somehow. read more

Went in on a Saturday right when they opened, trying to avoid the crowd but boy is it busy. Fortunately for me, I came in to speak to a banker and only the teller line was busy. I spoke with Bryanna and she was a delight. Although she did have to search up everything on the website and did not have much prior knowledge of opening a credit card which is what I came to do. Maybe it was to show me on screen for a visual presentation but when we went over categories for the Chase Freedom card, it took awhile to find that information because the only way to find it was through their website which is a bit confusing and she did not know the categories for Jan through Mar on the top of her head. Everything went pretty smoothly and once the paper work was all finished up, I noticed a huge crowd in the waiting area for the bankers and some had appointments. After I left she immediately called the next person in. Happy with the outcome of my visit. From all these reviews I read, I thought it was going to be a miserable time but I beat the crowd and got great service. This branch does get very very busy though. Vicky worked there and Laura and Natalia they were the ones that were the glue. After Vicky left it was so sad but we lost Laura to the front end post.she was the reason I switched to chase when I transferred to Wells Fargo . Then they shut down the greeter position But we still had her behind the window And that kept me going there now all 3 are not there and the turn over in there is so often. It's just lifeless. When Vicky left there was a retirement party for her so we had prep time. It's just like family then there gone . Where ever you good people are . The banks lifeless and sad without you. This branch needs to be trained on professionalism. I've been a chase customer for over 10 years and have always had great service at other branches. Last year, I came to this branch to open a business account. The banker that we had were so rude, and in the end she had no idea what she was doing. My uncle who's opened a business account with chase ended up walking her through the process but she still did it wrong and I had to go to another branch to fix my card. Second time I came here was recently for my boyfriend to open a checking account. We made an appointment with Omar and he was late. When he came, there was no apologies. When we started talking about opening a credit card he sounded so racist and didn't even go through any options they have unless we asked. Because of his attitude, my bf decided to go to wells fargo for his checking account and credit card. This place is very unprofessional. I went in to get 20 rolls of nickle and they were stuff with pennies. 5 of of 9 times this has happen. Most likely they give out coin rolls that were deposits from their customers, which is a no no because they should be shipped out to their cash vault to be counted. You guys should know not to accept coin rolls from customers unless they write their account numbers on them, even if they are your regulars because you don't know your customers like you think you do. read more
