I made my withdrawal outside at the front ATM and I walked by the drive thru, no cars were there it was just me, I remember I was able to make a quick exchange to smaller bills during pandemic and the person who was there was able to do it for me, take note there were No cars, I was just about To approach him and ask him if I could do the same but while I was just speaking and in the middle of a few Words he rudely interrupted me , he did not even say "I'm sorry but" he just went on and said it in a rude way and cut me off a few times, when I was trying to ask a question twice he rudely interrupted me again and wasn't even allowing me to finish my sentences, so I asked him what his name was since he wasn't wearing a name tag and his name wasn't on the front desk too, he seemed irritated and preoccupied but I was the only customer, I then told Anthony twice" that next time if you need to say something to a customer , say it in a polite way, " and do you know what his answer was? He just said "yeah okay" then I told him treat me like a customer then he said "okay" he never said sorry for his behavior and the manner he talked to me. I am so disappointed, is this how you train your employees for customer service? Is this how they talk to customers, he was talking to me like he had no respect for any customer, the way he answered, his demeanor, everything was completely off. I'm beyond disappointed so I was wanting to speak to you but you were in a meeting but I hope you can address this situation and correct it, he clearly does not know customer service and how to treat people, regardless of any a transaction. I'd had some issues getting one…read moreover the phone and after waiting 19 days for it to arrive in the mail, I decided to stop into the neighborhood center. Even though I didn't have an appointment they were able to serve me within 10 minutes of my arrival. The entire interaction was quick and efficient and I walked out with my new debit card about 20 minutes after arriving. Ironically, my other debit card arrived in the mail that day, so I just cut it up. But I think the neighborhood service center did a great job and I would definitely go back.

There's a decent size parking lot and this is the only business that's open on the this side of the road (Starbucks and Mod Pizza are on the other side) so you'll always find a spot. Most of the BECU's I've gone to have had tiny parking lots or no parking at all so this is definitely my new favorite one. The new logo branding is up and inside is really nice. There are 2 ATM's on the right when you walk in. I'm not sure how busy this location will get but there were only 2 other customers when I stopped by.

Pretty upset at the way they treated me as a customer for 10+ years.

What a great experience I had today at WaFd Bank. (Yes a little confusing still because I think…read morethey are in the middle of a name change. The original company name was Washington Federal.) I went into the branch today to open a new checking account. Their checking account has some really cool features I haven't seen at other banks. With their Green checking account you get discount movie tickets, coupons for travel, a credit check service and best of all mobile phone insurance. I used to have AT&T mobile phone insurance that costs $15 a month. With WaFd Bank's green checking account I can get that for $7 a month plus all this other stuff. I had no idea, definitely a well kept secret. Anytime we can help local companies vs the large conglomerate like AT&T, sign me up. Keep up the great work WaFd Bank!

I rented a safe deposit box at the Washington Federal branch in Redmond and when I moved to Seattle I closed it two years ago by going into the branch to return my keys and sign the cancelation form. For the past two years I have received multiple bills for the safe deposit box.The first year I called the branch, which confirmed the account was closed, and they said I wouldn't receive another bill. A few weeks later, I received a late noticel. Since then I've repeatedly called the Customer Care Center and am told the account is open. When I explain the account is closed and that I need the billing situation resolved, they say that they will email the branch and follow up with me. No one has ever followed up. My last conversation with Customer Care was about a month ago and I received another bill today. If Washington Federal can't figure out how to close a simple safe deposit box, I wonder how they can be trusted with more complex financial issues? It's not a risk I'm willing to take.

Vicki, the Assistant VP of Customer Experience was happy to sit down with us and explain the best options for getting the money Key was delaying into our account for verification from the mortgage company. She knew my husband and I by sight and calmly explained our options. I've only had an account for 2 years and she still treated us as if we were valued clients. Contrast with Keybank where my family has had account for 30+ years and we were left standing for three hours and told that we, as mere customers, couldn't talk to anyone besides the personal banker whose service we had issues with. Banner may not be open on weekends but they won't try to upsell you every time you walk in the door and they will treat you not only as a person but as a called client

Caution to small business owners...I would strongly caution small business owners against banking…read morewith Columbia Bank. My business account was closed after becoming overdrawn due to repeated $35 overdraft fees that continued compounding the negative balance. What started as a difficult financial situation quickly snowballed because of the fee structure itself. Although I fully paid the balance within 2 weeks after the account was closed, the bank still reported me to ChexSystems and has refused to remove the report -- making it extremely difficult to open a new business bank account elsewhere. I understand banks have policies, but there should also be reasonable consideration for customers who resolve the balance in good faith. Punishing small business owners long after the debt is paid feels excessive and harmful. If you're a business owner already navigating financial stress, be aware of how quickly overdraft fees and ChexSystems reporting can escalate into much larger problems. All I got was a sorry, don't know what to tell you, from the branch manager.

Beware! Umpqua destroyed my credit due to terrible business practices…read more I have had a HELOC for years with Umpqua and have never had a late payment, in fact my balance has been $0 for several months. In the past I have made several attempts to set up autopay to avoid accidentally missing a payment since the amount is different every month when I'm using the LOC, but they do not have that option. With no notice, Umpqua reported a $75 late payment to the credit agencies without notifying me of the amount being due at all. I had excellent credit and this one report dropped my score by nearly 100 points and I rely on having excellent credit for my profession. I later found out this $75 charge was an annual fee for having the account (I'm fine with the annual fee), but they never notified me that there was a payment due. No letter, no call, no notification, even my online account showed $0 balance due. After talking with them, I found out that I was expected to see it in a small section of the monthly e-statement. Why would I be reading through all of my statements looking for this when my balance shows $0?! I have been nothing but a perfect client that wants to pay my bills, but when they hide an annual fee and don't show it as balance due, they blast my credit instead of simply notifying me that there is a small charge due! At this point they refuse to dispute the negative credit remark despite me paying the tiny balance as soon as I knew about it. This my not be a big deal for some, but I use my credit every month for my business and this will cost me tens of thousands of dollars. Absolutely terrible, Umpqua!

So let's start with location. Location in Bellevue is well placed in plenty of parking which by the way they do validate once inside you're greeted by a nice cozy lobby environment and a well laid out set up. Then the actual interaction was very pleasant. Call me sentimental, but I love seeing a teller with a smile on their face greeting you with warmth and kindness even if it's just to process a transaction. I was there to replace my debit card and it was quick and easy with the minimal wait. I like doing business with this pay, but I especially like doing business at this particular location. The bank is also housed in a building that has lots of food options so if you're running errands and headed out to do a bank transaction then take the extra time to explore some of the other local restaurants in the building and enjoy yourself. I'll definitely be back at this location. This is my number one banking spot.

My experience with this WSECU branch started this out as a 5-star review, and would have stayed…read morethat way, had the branch manager Naomi not completely ruined that entirely in early September. I had originally chosen WSECU due to the friendly, professional treatment I received over the phone when looking for a new bank. This part was then supported by the same friendly, professional treatment I received by the tellers each time I conducted business within their doors. That is, until early September. WSECU shares the building's ground floor with other establishments, and the main building entry allows 4 different directions in which a person can go once out the door... in addition to the back entry and the elevators that go down into the parking structure below. To try to describe the scenario would take a short book... unless you already know the layout of the area. Keep in mind also that WSECU occupies a space of approximately 1200 sq ft, in which I have never seen more than 3 employees in at any one time. So any "social distancing" concerns are rendered moot. I am unable to wear a mask for medical reasons, and for the previous 5 months that has not been an issue. This month, however, the branch manager blindsided me with her behavior, charging out of her office as I walked into the branch claiming absolutely no one was allowed in without a mask, regardless of the reason and demanded me to go back out their entry door. I then was informed that they had already accessed my account and made my withdrawal for me - before I ever arrived and without my being there to verify account information. (Security protocol breach #1). She then proceeded to hold open one side of their double door, and block it (putting herself within 2 feet of me), while she ordered the poor teller to scoot a makeshift podium to the other side of the double door that I ended up holding open. This puts my back to the main building lobby and the outside entry door of the building that I mentioned above, and puts all 3 of us at risk for someone coming in with less than honorable intentions, i.e. a crime of opportunity. (Security protocol breach #2.) They had me sign the receipt for the withdrawal, and then promptly closed the doors before I even had a chance to put everything away. Now someone might say that this is the same risk you take when using a walk-up ATM. Well, I do not go to this branch expecting to have to take this risk, as I do all of my business inside, and they do NOT have a walk-up ATM. I also do not expect to be treated like a leper because I need to breathe unencumbered. While I have no compunctions about defending myself by any means necessary in the event of a physical attack from another person, I have a very serious problem with being put at risk for that very possibility by people who should know better. Their excuse is they are "trying to keep people safe", forgetting that they are putting people at risk for a much more real risk than an invisible manufactured virus that has a 99%+ survival rate. The branch manager's behavior was completely inexcusable. The tension she created was very unhealthy for all parties involved. WSECU has lost my business permanently and I encourage others to think twice before taking their business there. If I was treated that way, with no prior provocation, then how many others did she do this to? Based on the inaction of the other staff members I spoke with since, WSECU condones this sort of behavior. Ironically enough, they have signage on their door that indicates no sunglasses are allowed to be worn inside, presumably for identification purposes... I'll leave it at that.
