In the entire history of U.S. credit unions, taxpayer funds have NEVER been used to bail out a credit union! According to Bankrate.com, "Credit unions have topped the consumer satisfaction ratings in American Banker's annual survey for 12 years in a row." The new management is inept. The banking processor for the credit union failed and online services were not accessible for a 1.5 weeks. During that time, the debit cards and automatic payments stopped working. NO explanation, other than processor issues, was given. No sooner than the online banking was restored, the CEO decides to revamp the website taking the website down again for home users. That is not very good planning or management. The CEO should step down. Their bank processor should be fired ASAP. Lastly, they have the gall to send 'non-use' notice for not using the BILLPAY system, Somebody is asleep at the switch.

We spoke, in person, with FRANK MONREAL the branch manager. Other banks offered HIGHER interest rates, so all we asked was that Old Plank (owned by WINTRUST) MATCH the rate of other banks. FRANK MONREAL stated, "we don't match", so we told him we would be in on Thursday 3/5/26 to close the account, and pick-up the check. Thursday morning we went in, and were told by MARKEELA McDONALD that we could NOT get our money as today is FRANK MONREAL day-off, and he had authorize it, WHAT! ... FRANK MONREAL KNEW WE WERE COMING TO PICK-UP THE CHECK, AND THIS IS HIS DAY-OFF! .. Well, in any event, MARKEELA McDONALD did get authorization, and after 2-HOURS, we went back, picked up the check, and promptly took out a new CD with the bank that has our OTHER CD. By the way, this other CD was money ALSO taken from Old Plank (owned by WINTRUST) ...
