We have been with Chase and their predecessors forever. We appreciate their availability, wherever we find ourselves, and the staff is always on top of their customer service game. We have had checking, savings, CD's, Ira's, and pension management with them. Enough so that we have special services without extra fees, like check printing. read more

At a time when when good customer service feels almost nonexistent in the desert cities, I had the pleasure today of visiting the full service Chase Bank in Palm Desert and being helped by a young man named CARLOS. I have a new account with Chase and had a tricky issue with my credit card that couldn't be resolved over the phone or online. CARLOS was incredibly patient, understanding, and helpful throughout the entire process. He went above and beyond to make sure everything was taken care of before I left. I can't say enough good things about his professionalism and kindness. If this is the level of service we can expect from the new generation, then maybe customer service is making a comeback. If this is the future of banking I'm not very impressed. Not saying that the tellers are rude or unprofessional, however they are unwilling to offer you any assistance if they don't have to. Quick to just point to an atm. There are many atms outside and inside with all different limits..some 500, some 1000 and some 3000.... In the time I wait for the atm to load after I insert my card I could have been out and halfway down the road If one of the several people there could have just helped me make a withdrawal instead. Went in a separate time to open a line of credit then they say "we don't offer personal lines on credit" also applied for a mortgage some time ago through these guys and it was taking way too long to just get pre approved. My credit union got it done in 2 days haha. I only have an account with Chase because they have locations all over the country, my main credit union does not. I hope to see some changes in the future that don't result in just adding ATMs. Bring back a more personable experience and offer more options for personal accounts. Wont let me open a savings, won't let me open a line of credit just to build credit, the list goes on. read more

Sorry, this is going to be a novel. Given the issue I had here today, it could have been worse, but it's not excusable. I went in to make a deposit with cash and checks. I am meticulous about how I put my money together but that's neither here nor there. The problem lies in the fact that the cash amount that was handed to the teller differed from the amount that the machine counted. I had the teller count it twice with the machine, and the number came up the same. Granted, it was only $40 difference, but to me, that's still a loss of money. I work hard for my money and I count it and mark it down with pen and paper 4 times EVERY SINGLE TIME to avoid miscounting!! I know what I had in cash! After the second time with the machine, I asked the teller to hand count it because that would have told me how many transactions I have accounted for. Unfortunately and coincidentally, it was too late because he had processed the transaction and I begrudgingly "accepted" that amount. So, when I asked to hand count the money, the bills that came back out of the machine were magically different than the ones that were inserted twice. I had given 20s and 1s- the bills that came back were 100s and 50s. Even though I really didn't accept what just happened and the transaction ended, I went back to my car and called my husband for advice. I went back into the bank and spoke to the manager about this problem. I admit that was a mistake on my part! I've never had an issue where money wasnt accounted for at the bank, (except once during an ATM issue and I was told to wait until the deposit actually gets declined.) For this reason, I prefer to use the tellers, especially with large deposit. My mistake was leaving the building and then coming back in, instead of just going directly to the manager without proceeding with the deposit. So the manager wasnt really helpful. She tried and at first she was nice about it!! There were a couple things she tried, but wasnt successful. I have my own business and I'm well in control of 99.9% of the things that happen, so it was hard for me to accept her answer that once the transaction is accepted, she cant go in there and count the money I have given. It just disappears, apparently. As a "COURTESY", she applied a $25 credit to my account, maybe for the troubles...I'm not sure why. But I did accept that because at that point, my loss is $25 less. Here's where the negative stars come in...she proceeds to give me "lessons" on banking. One of them being that I should organize my bills in order of size. Okay...that's exactly how I brought my money in to begin with. That obviously doesn't prevent anything. And the other lesson being that I need to have an exact count of the quantity of each bill denomination. Hmm, I've never considered having to write that down, but would that have helped me in the situation? NO! It wouldn't have because like she said, she didn't have access to the bills I gave the teller. Something is obviously amiss here. I came back to my office and recounted everything! All my numbers still match up. Nobody has access to my money bag and if they did, they would have taken the whole $1,000 in cash, not just $40 of it. Or rather, the entire bag itself. I appreciate the time the manager took to help me find this money, but I didn't appreciate the attitude change after she made the $25 credit to my account and the banking "lessons." read more

Worst bank ever! It's banks like this that remind me why I use credit unions. I have a check from Delta airlines drawn on a Chance account and they won't cash it. The manager says she can't explain why the computer won't cash it, but since that what the computer is saying I'm just shit out of luck. So much for human customer service. read more

Chase bank took me off an account either on purpose or due to incompetent staff, and really didn't apologize or the employee that did it left the next week for a new job. Bank didn't feel bad about their gross mistake. read more

Terrible customer service. I cringe every time I have to go into this branch. There is always one teller open that is super slow and a line of customers. The tellers are all rude and have no people skills. Then to top it off, there's a bunch of bank employees in their offices never willing to help the line. read more

Horrible customer service!! Myra was the manager working. I walked in 10 mins before the bank was closed. 5 mins after waiting she came out from back and offered to help each customer in line instead of offering to help me, as I was sitting in the waiting area. She proceeded to stand at the self service atm machine to talk to the customer as he carried on his business at the atm. From past experience with Chase bank, if your waiting in the waiting area you are typically waiting to be helped! Seeing as she was not helping me why she felt she needed to help people that were waiting to see a teller, is beyond me. This is not my first similar experience at the location, and will go the extra step to no longer use this location for this reason. read more

The Tellers here are no help. The atm wasn't working and so I go up so I can withdrawal money and instead of helping me there she says there's other machines you could use. All while this elderly customer also needed assistance and the girl was rude to her. read more

Patricia, the lady who is one their employees, doesn't really want to work. In the condition where another 5 clients were waiting in line, she took her sweet time and scanned one check at a time. It was the first time in my 3 years experience with Chase making deposits of 100 and more checks one time, when somebody was scanning them one at a time!!! And then she suggested we should get a scanner of our own, probably the main reason is for her to save her the trouble to do that for their clients. Chase's branch manager should be aware of their employee who gives Chase a bad name. read more

Worst bank ever. Never been a time I didn't have to wait for service. The manager is lazy. Doesn't help even when in a crunch. They've lost deposits of mine and never even apologized. I can't change banks fast enough. read more

There are too many banks to choose from than to settle for one because of their location. If you want to be disrespected and unappreciated, from a company who's motto is that they care and that you matter to them, then bank with Chase. What kind of financial institution gladly takes your $80,000 check on a Monday and suspends your account on Tuesday? And then, doesn't bother to email, call or write to tell you that you have no account! I had to call them to find out why my card didn't work. They cashed my deposit check on that same Tuesday and tell me it's going to up to 10 business days before I get MY money back. And that's 10 days after the account is suspended, which they tell me my account is still open, but, suspended. How long does it take to close an account that never had any transactions? read more
