Pretty nice Chase bank. Lots of ATMs for everyone to do their business. Clean. Not much else to complain, brag or talk about.

The thing I appreciate is that this South Pasadena branch is open on Saturdays, 9am -2pm. My regular bank is Wells Fargo , but the So. Pas. WFB which USED TO BE open on Sat's stopped. Why, I ask myself ? Time is money, right? even on Saturdays. Sunday is my day off. Let me just finish with a color picture, so to speak. When I was a kid in the 1950's I remember back East when there were "BlueLaws" got it? As a Christian I LOVE my Jewish friends. The solution seems to be : Let the Christians run the banks on Saturday. And maybe Wells Fargo can be open P.T. on Sundays. Anyway... In this AI Internet age many more things are 24/7 I.M.O. We read the reviews of several Chase banks and were not very impressed. But, we read the reviews for this location and were on the fence. Seemed much better than the rest. So we gave it a shot. Let's just say our every expectation was met! Greeted by 3 employees with a smile and eagerness to assist. We were in and out of there all questions asked and account opened in 1/2 hour. I've been coming to this branch for a number of years. The tellers have always been friendly and helpful. However, one stands out above the rest - Dominik. When it comes to outstanding customer service Dominik outshines them all. I'm there once or twice a month and, somehow, he remembers my name. I know he assists many customers, and I'm sure he knows all their names as well. Dominik is always a delight. He's friendly, engaging, courteous, and polite. It's such a joy to be helped by him. I signed up for Private Client Services-- waste of money. Chase branches are understaffed and there is a lot of officer turnover. However, Tellers are invariably nice and professional. That and the Chase app (which is very easy to use) are the only reasons I would recommend this bank. And if you travel abroad, lots of branches in foreign countries. read more

I was in need of a last minute, same day notary appointment for a very important transaction of mine. I called all CHASEs and none of them would pick up, but when I called this CHASE bank, they picked up every single time and I was sooo lucky that JORESS picked up my first phone call because he was one of the two notaries there that day (and usually it is hard to grab ahold of notary appointments at other CHASEs and nearly impossible for same day appointments), and not only was Joress extremely knowledgeable, professional, legitimate, and took care of every single concern and need, he was kind enough to squeeze us in for a same day notary appointment and if it wasnt for him it would have been game over for that important transaction. JORESS, I am incredibly beyond thankful for the absolute stellar experience and service that you provided for me, and answering all my questions and concerns with very helpful info and details, and for saving the day by picking up calls and squeezing me in on the same day for something that was very important to me, and offering stellar service and knowledge in response to all of my questions which was beyond helpful. Should I really write a review for a bank? For this Chase branch, absolutely! 5 stars!!! Not only is the customer service pretty good at this location, but I love the convenience of the drive-thru ATM that this branch offers. As far as I know, no other Chase branches in the South Pasadena, Alhambra, and San Gabriel areas have drive-thru ATMs! There's definitely plenty of Chase bank branches all over my area, but this is my go-to location because of the drive-thru! There's also never any concerns of finding parking since the customer parking lot is pretty big! There are also two walk-up ATMs outside the branch facing the parking lot. And if you ever need to step inside the building, the interior is pretty modern but inviting and also clean! read more

This South Pasadena Chase Bank has been my local branch for over 10 years. We have recently moved to the Valley but I refuse to transfer to a closer one due to the fact that I receive excellent service here. I had ordered new checks online with the new address, however, they were printed with the old one. * Kevin Tisuthiwongse * has always handled my family's accounts and again has taken care of this error with friendly, professional and efficient customer service as usual. Regular customer. Pro- easy parking and bank is clean, open area! Con- tellers are trained to defer all questions to bankers! There is a waiting area where you sign in, but there's always a long wait. For example, I wanted access to safety deposit box and there were 3-4 bankers just sitting there with their eyes looking over their cubicles like gophers! Don't they want the chance for new or additional business?! The manger needs to be written up and staff needs to be retrained by me! I went in on Dec 23rd to change my name on my debit card. I can't recall the name of the man that helped me. He was friendly and provided the service quickly. He completed the process to have a card with my new name on it sent out. I was told it would arrive within 3-5 business days with a potential delay due to holidays. I understood the delays and was okay with it because he informed me that I could continue using the card I currently have until I receive the new one. I asked two more times throughout the rest of the appointment to confirm I would not be left without a card. He assured me I would be able to keep using the current card. It is now January 4th ... I haven't received the new card yet AND I also haven't been able to use my current card since the 23rd. I didn't contact chase sooner because I thought the card would be here by now but it isn't and I am now behind on payments. I called chase customer service and was told there is nothing to do but wait for the new card because my current card was closed as of the 23rd. So upset that I was informed I would continue to have a way to make payments and this was either not true or the person that helped me made a mistake in processing my service. This place is simply AMAZING and has awesome customer services! To explain, I simply thought I would just walk in and out of this Chase with doing just one transaction. I did not expect to do anything else, especially since I came to this Chase location about 10 minutes to closing on a Saturday; about 3:50pm. After I was done with my transaction, the bankteller (an Asian guy) told me that I was qualified on my account for something ,and I thought it wouldn't hurt to try and see what it was about. He led me to a personal banker by the name of Annie Le. Annie Le was simply AMAZING! She was so nice, professional, and patience with me; especially since she was willingly to help me still even though they were already closed Let's just say that when I walked out, it was about 4:30pm and I came out happy by the changes I made to my account. In the past, I had had a BAD experience with a personal banker (an old grouchy Asian lady) at another Chase location on Valley in Alhambra who was extremely RUDE. After coming here, my mindset about personal bankers have changed. So thank you Annie Le for your awesome customer service!! =D read more

So I came here last week hoping to open an account with Chase because I'm sick of my other bank and their unnecessary fees. Anyway, I got off work at 5 and I arrived at 5:30 and they were still open! Which is nice. Upon walking in I was a little confused who go ask, so I kind of just stood there like an idiot (keep in mind my brain was still clouded from work stress, so I wasn't really functioning haha). So I guess he saw me standing there looking confused, but Peter Tran approached me and asked me if I needed help. Yes please! Peter was very helpful, answered all of my questions and gave very helpful recommendations as far as "packages" go for accounts and which one would work best for my spending habits/income. I also liked that once we decided on the path for my account, I was able to get my card made right then and there! So no waiting in the mail for days or weeks. After setting everything up, Peter gave me his card and told me to let him know if I needed anything else. I'm very pleased with the customer service here and look forward to banking with them. read more

I've been a chase customer since they bought me from Washington mutual years ago. At this branch, last year, I changed my checking account to avoid newly imposed service fees. I was not told agent signing me up that even higher service fees would be applied to my savings account. Corporate policy is that they can only reimburse fees 120 days previous or less. HOW CAN YOU EVEN LEGALLY CALL IT A SAVINGS ACCOUNT WHEN YOU LOSE MONEY? I've been treated poorly by chase before but I felt the agent signing me up at this location should have caught or disclosed any potential fees. They're response is of course read the small print and constantly check your statement. I can understand that maybe even with a checking account, but really? read more

I remember when this Chase opened (long long ago!) I wasn't a Chase customer at the time so I never went it. I have used the drive thru ATM and the walk up ATM several times but this was the first time I went in for service. The line was short! Three teller windows open! The young man that helped me was very nice and efficient! I needed six money orders and he had me out of there in about five minutes. Great service. Acknowledgment from the staff that saw me. The people who work here are amazing. I have to say, I didn't really want to work with a big bank; I wanted to work with a credit union. When I got married, however, my husband had investments with Chase and compelling reasons to stay, so I gave in. This is by no means the only Chase location where I've been a little taken aback at the excellent customer service, but it is the one where I felt compelled to write a review. Yesterday, I was driving around frantically looking for a drive-thru teller. I don't even know if those things exist anymore, but I remember going through them as a kid with my mom. I called this location explaining my situation: Sick baby who FINALLY fell asleep in the car seat, but a desperate need for quarters so I could do all of the laundry associated with a sick baby. George picked up the phone and apologized to me that they did not have a drive-thru teller. He wracked his brain for a few seconds to think of another bank that could help, but when he couldn't come up with anything he offered to meet me in the parking lot to help out. I called back again when I arrived and expected to be waiting outside of my car for a literal five to 10 minutes, but he was out within seconds, took my bills and my ID, and made a speedy transaction for me. The entire process took under five minutes and it was done with a smile. Awesome, awesome service. I think I'm kinda sold on sticking with Chase now. read more

The service here is always fast and helpful, and now that Chase does print cards in their branch locations everything was a breeze during my recent transaction. The banker helped me print my new debit card (I hadn't received it in the mail for some reason), no problem, and was super helpful with advice for how to combine my finances with my fiance since our wedding is coming up. All in all one of the better locations of Chase if you don't want a long wait. read more

I just went here to open a business checking account. The man asked me a couple of questions and then he concluded that I would be using too much of his time and that I should just go home and do it online. Now there's such a thing as poor service and another thing called DISRESPECT. I was disrespected here. He didn't shake my hand when he met me and really didn't look like he felt like working. Came here on my lunch break to make a quick payment to my Chase Freedom credit card and my experience was appalling! The teller, who helped me was rude and unprofessional. I gave her my loan payment slip and told her I just needed to make a payment. She quickly replied in a rude tone, "OK- I just need the cash." I brushed it off because I thought, hm maybe I'm just interpreting this wrong... but nope. she was being mean. So I give her the cash and she tries to look up my account... she says there's no credit card linked to the account number I gave her. I tell her that was my account number and she says it was wrong. So she makes a huge deal out of it, SIGHING while saying, "Let's fill this out correctly." so she gets a loan payment slip and fills it out for me and continues with my transaction. No eye contact, no, HOW ARE YOU, nothing. Her customer service was honestly shocking.. She finishes the transaction and throws my ID and receipt under the teller glass and walks away..? well geeze, thanks for helping me out- you nasty biotch! (also her name was Meredith). :) read more

A lady named Yen was meant to schedule our appointment for Saturday to speak with a mortgage banker. She was extremely disorganized in scheduling the right appointment and we were told a couple of hours before the appointment that the appointment could not happen (even though we scheduled a week in advance). Just wanted to post this because I had a recent bad experience at a Chase bank. It made me appreciate this one so much more! This one is great, the staff always greets you when you come in, and are nice to your children. When opening accounts or what-not they treat you so well! They are so accomodating, they've even helped a few times when my child was a toddler and let him use the restroom. I've opened accounts here, credit cards, and they've always resolved any problem I had very efficiently-the staff is the main reason it's so good, they are all so friendly and professional. They always see how long I've been with Chase and make sure they let me know they appreciate me banking with them. Didn't really realize other Chase branches could be much different until I moved further away from this one (and now unfortunately have a horrible customer service branch near me) but it really does make a difference! read more

Terrible customer service, if you want to call it that. My husband and I didn't choose Chase but were acquired as customers when they took over Washington Mutual. Every interaction with them has been borderline unpleasant. They treat us as if they are doing us a favor taking our money. This branch also has incompetence to boot, with bankers not informing us of things such as fees on linked accounts if we change the type of checking account we have. They attempted to charge us exorbitant fees on our children's savings accounts! The last straw was when, despite being customers there for several years now, they jerked us around on a mortgage refinance only to deny it for bogus reasons.
