As a long time USAA member, I was looking for a physical bank in my area due to the fact I am a entrepreneur with many side hustles including photography and arbitrage, so I do often times get cash which I cannot deposit into my normal checking account. I researched online, did my due diligence as far as learning about their products and I feel that it was a complete waste of time. I walked in, there were 2 to 3 gentlemen helping other customers. No big deal, I sat in the lobby and waited. After each of them coming out of there rooms with the clients they we're helping and making direct eye contact with me, no one asked how I've been serviced or what my needs were. I've been in customer service for over 20 years. This is completely unacceptable to me, especially when you have obviously acknowledge my presence, but continue to ask the four people that come in after me how are you can help them. I finally got up and went to the teller and asked her simply if she could cash a money order for me and because I was not a customer, I was told no. That was fine. My issue came when she told me they were "short staffed" and that's why no one acknowledged me. There seem to be plenty of people to help those who walked in after me. That is just a terrible excuse for subpar behavior in my opinion. I work with people all the time and as long as you keep them in the loop as to why they may have to wait for service, usually everything is fine. To blow me off and say essentially they were too busy to help me, I told her I no longer needed any help. Sadly, I was going to Open not only several personal accounts with them but business accounts as well. Absolutely lost my business. If that first interaction was indicative of anything to come in the future, I do not want it. Especially when I'm giving you and in trusting you with thousands. If you're looking for a bank that cares, you might as well keep it moving. read more
