I bank at this branch and everyone in the branch including the Manager are excellent workers. You mentioned Jacquline Romero which normally yelp don't allow names to be used. Jacquline is a Banker not a window teller. She is across from the window tellers and is an excellent worker. Today was my worst banking experience of my life, no exaggeration. I waisted almost an1 1/2 hours eating to verify a Chase check that I wanted to cash, since my bank is closed on Saturdays. I was given many reasons from various staff to why they must speak with account holder before cashing check 1. Such I don't have a Chase account 2. They call account holders for Chase checks over $500 3 They couldn't verify the signature 4. There are special circumstances on his account. Interesting thing is that I left w/o cashing my check, so I went to another branch to see if it's the same result. I am please to say that in the other branch I gave my ID, they said just a moment while I verify the check, they asked for a second ID that Zi gave them; they gave me cash for their Chase check. I was out in 25 minutes. I Recomended using other branches if you value your time and are not an account holder. I was thinking that I would be embarrassed to hear this from some one I paid for their work with a Chase Check or to have Chase call each time I write a Chase check over $500. After this experience I don't want to accept Chase checks or have a Chase account, I don't recommend it. This Chase branch is located where Hawthorne Blvd, Artesia Blvd, and Redondo Beach Blvd meet. The shopping plaza it inhabits also includes a CVS, 24-hour fitness, and a number of small businesses. The staff here is super friendly, energetic, and good at what they do. Every time I walk in here, I'm greeted by a warm smile and a greeting. When you get inside, you will have the teller windows to your left, the personal box areas straight ahead, the bankers toward the right, as well as the investment specialists (both of whom I know well, great people). There must be a short line for available bank tellers, because this chase has the rudest tellers I've ever come across. I simply went into their EMPTY bank for two rolls of quarters and left felling like I held her up at gun point. Actually if I had, maybe she would have smiled and helped me instead of talking to the other teller and ignoring me. I'll stick to going to the ATM for cash and grabbing quarters at the laundry mat. To be honest, I've never been inside this location. Every time I've gone I've only needed to use the atm machines outside. I haven't had the need to step inside this location. Pros: it's conveniently located off Hawthorne Blvd and has plenty of parking. If you were in a hurry they have a drive through. Another think I like is that they are wheel chair accessible. This place sucked when it was Wamu and got even worse with Chase. I use Chase for business related transaction but mostly for my personal transaction I use the credit union which is a much better experience. I try to avoid going inside and use the ATM at all possible costs. I am not sure what's with the tellers and the bank employees, it's just a bad vibe and they have bad attitudes. They sure have pretty signs and renovated their building but now we know where the TARP funds went to marketing their brand. The service is quite bad at most Chase location unless your strictly using the ATM service. I've tried them all with Wells Fargo, Bank of America and Citibank, and they suck and Chase just as suck. Bank's service usually suck, but they serve a purpose. Went in to withdraw some money and all I got to say is this branch sucks. There were 2 tellers working and a guy trying to convince people waiting in line to use the new ATM machine right next to the teller. When he got to me he asked me "how may i help you blah blah blah" I said I am just withdrawing. He said try our new machine all you need is your ATM/bank/debit card, I told him I don't believe in that faulty cards (too many frauds going around) and having to remember another PIN. He says something about what I am missing or something. No thanks I'll stick to what works and that is a ID. Other than that, the branch sucks and the line was long. Wow. I was sure there would be glowing reviews of this Chase branch. My Chase account is a secondary one and I don't use it often. I decided to try this branch because I pass it on the way to taking my son to school. I've been to a branch by my place and it was just so-so. I've been in the Torrance branch 2 times and each been pleasantly surprised. This last time, just today, sent me straight to Yelp because the customer service was so bend-over-backward awesome. So, first, off I arrived there about 15 minutes to 9. I figure I ought to just sit in my car and put on my make-up because they sure aren't going to open a minute before 9. An elderly gentleman is standing outside the door and I wish I could offer him a seat. Then, right in the middle of putting on my mascara, at 8:55 AM, a smiling woman comes and opens the door and holds it so the elderly gentleman can walk in. I went in myself a few minutes later, still a little stunned the door opened early. As I get in line, a young man named Jermaine comes up to me and ask if he can help me with my banking. He was all smiles and sunshine, too! He proceeded to take me to his desk where I thought they'd only bother to take a customer if they promised to open a new account, and got my check cashed. He had to go get a manager to go in the back to get my cash (I was just cashing a check) and apologized for the wait. He offered me coffee, tea, water. (I took the water.) Chatted to me about his family and mine, our birthdays, our astrological signs, and suggested I might want overdraft protection on my checking account. I politely declined hoping the hard sell wasn't coming...and it didn't!! I walked out and the manager was standing at the door saying good-bye and hello to everyone with a big smile. I can't imagine a better bank experience! Jermaine was terrific and so friendly. I needed to open a business checking, savings and credit card. The person who helped me was a private client banker whose name is Dolores Alvarez. I did my best to come prepared with all the required paperwork (a list of which is online) and I pretty much just sat there answering work emails while she sifted through it and entered all the necessary information. She asked me a few questions about my business to help me pick the best type of checking, savings and credit card. After hearing me describe my incredibly simple business (I'm essentially an independent contractor/consultant who incorporated, not really a traditional business owner), she recommended a free checking, savings and credit card. She educated me on the benefits of the credit card with an annual fee, but seriously made no attempt to upsell me to anything, which I appreciated. I had previously applied for a Chase business credit card online and the process was horrible. In my view, I was meticulous about providing everything Chase asked to be included in a credit card application (I'm a corporate attorney, so I feel quite confident I understood what documents were being requested). I got a call from Chase stating that everything looked to be in order and I should be approved soon. Fast forward a couple weeks and I get a letter in the mail requesting 2 documents be re-sent. No email address or phone number to discuss this request -- I had to physically put these documents into the mail with a requisition number written on the top of each one and a cover letter describing what I'd provided and a phone number and email address I could be reached at if there were any questions. So feeling satisfied I had again complied with their request, I subsequently receive another letter in the mail weeks later requesting another document be re-sent. At this point it had been OVER A MONTH since I applied for this credit card because snail mail is so slow, but I complied and again mailed via snail mail a copy of the requested document with yet another cover letter with my contact information. Weeks again pass and I get a letter in the mail stating that too much time had passed since my application and so they were closing my request out and I would need to reapply. I was incredibly frustrated. So then I go into this Chase branch and meet with Dolores and she helps me re-apply for the credit card. Within MINUTES, literally before I leave her office, she tells me the card has been approved and will be mailed to me in 7-10 days. SO MUCH EASIER. I so wish I had gone to her before hassling myself with that ridiculous online application nonsense. I can't speak to anyone at this branch other than Dolores, but my experience with her was fantastic! read more

This chase is convenient since there's in a shopping center and it's has its own privet lot with drive thru 24hours ATMs. The bank is is near a shopping mall and a couple of restaurants. The staff are friendly and helpful. The bank lines are always short, there's more then enough bankers which I love. This chase is one of my favorite especially since is close to my job and CVS. I do recommend this branch to put out mints or candy to welcome customers! read more
