Excellent customer service from Brian!!! I was promptly greeted by a staff member upon arrival, nice touch. This branch location is old, but they refreshed their interior layout, and it looks so much better. I came in to clear out the contents of my safe deposit boxes, that I've had at this location for 6 years! There was a 5-10 minute wait to receive assistance to gain access to the vault area. Brian was exceptionally helpful! As of July 2026, Please be aware that ALL Chase Bank locations are phasing out offering safe deposit boxes, and they have begun starting to notify customers with safe deposit boxes currently, need to go and retrieve their contents and close their boxes. If you don't get your belongings out by a certain date, the state will take possession and then it will really be a problem for you! If you're out of state, and have a box in California, you must come in person and not over the phone! If you have any safe deposit boxes at any Chase Bank Location, I strongly suggest contacting Chase and enquire about how to go about getting access and by what date. Also, please have your safe deposit box keys, remember your PIN, and your ID ready! If you lost your key, the bank may or may not charge you to gain access to your box, and it will be a lengthy wait to get a special locksmith to open your boxes! I don't know how old this branch location is, but it looks like around the 1970's on the outside of the building. Again, excellent customer service and I had no issues with anything or anyone. I opened two business accounts in July 2024. It took almost two hours to get that done. I had all documents ready for them that they needed, still took them forever. Then I started getting text messages ALL NIGHT about every 20 mins from Chase bank 2am 3am 4am 5am all night. They would not stop I kept texting back "STOP" but they didn't. The next day and for 5 days I called and Called and Called the branch but they do not answer the phone it has an outgoing message saying they are busy and just hangs up on you. I have had to go in and called more than 28 times now. THERE IS NEVER A MANAGER AVAILABLE! It is now September 16th 2024 and i HAVE CALLED 9 TIMES TODAY WITH NO ABILITY TO TALK WITH anyone! My mom has had a checking account with Chase Bank on 1st Street in Tustin since they opened. In early 2022, someone stole her checking account number, printed it on new checks, and spent over $500 of her money. They printed a new name on the checks and signed them with that name. The fraudsters wrote five checks over three months and Chase Bank did not notice that the name and signatures on the account were not associated with the account number. In addition, the check numbers made a large leap forward and were out of sequence. It looks like Chase Bank would never have noticed the fraud in spite of the many clues before them. My mom had an accident and was unable to keep track of her statements at that time. When she noticed the fraudulent checks, Chase said their policy is that she didn't alert them soon enough and they would not reimburse her, which is basically to say that it was her fault. Draw your own conclusions, but you may want to think twice before trusting your money to Chase Bank. They clearly don't have your back. read more

If this Chase bank location wasn't convenient, I wouldn't go here. But like many things, convenience is king and this place serves the purpose of a bank well enough. The interior was recently remodeled with about seven of those newfangled touchscreen-type ATMs inside. These futuristic robotic tellers can perform most functions that a human teller can, and are pretty efficient at doing so. Since they operate with machine-like efficiency (being machines) you can probably trust there won't be any errors in your deposits or withdrawal amounts. There are also a few snazzy marquee signs and flat screen TVs here and there with commercials playing. They also offer a few human tellers. Unfortunately that is this location's weakness. Since the human tellers are in essence performing the functions of a machine, customer service is tough for them and they don't respond to unique situations or requests very well. And sometimes they make mistakes. However, as long as you have a normal transaction and don't need to interact with any of the employees for any special reason, you probably won't have too many problems. It gets pretty crowded on paydays and Fridays, so much so that there can be a significant wait time if you need to speak with a human teller or a banker. During the "non peak" times however, there is usually no wait and things are decent enough. There are also two "old school" type ATMs outside the bank which really aren't worth using unless you are in a hurry. Overall, don't go out of your way to visit this bank branch. If you do visit, remember special requests or intelligent discussion with employees is forbidden! read more

Needed to open a new bank account. The lady told us to put our name on the list and sit down to wait for the next available agent. She informed us that there were 3 people ahead of us. OK, we did just that and sat down. As soon as my butt hit the sofa, this guy came up to us and said he could help us out. The whole transaction took less than 10 mins. I couldn't believe the efficiency of Martin, our associate. In fact, Washington Mutual is the only bank I've dealt with in the past 8 years which has given me more than good customer service. That says a lot considering the crappola service I usually find at Wells Fargo -- which, in my opinion, is the worst bank ever. They even charge you for paying bills on line. As much as I dislike the banking institution and the company, the people who work in this branch is their saving grace. Though I live about ten miles away, if I have a choice, I would prefer to come here. Everytime I come, I'm greeted with a smile and courteous service. One time I came in asking for the paper to put coins in and the guy who helped me out even helped PUT THE COINS IN! I didn't ask him to help me but he volunteered his service and helped me out. I've given this chase my business for almost 3 + years . Today marks the day I will consider going to a different branch . Today I asked to deposit money in my bank account to pay rent . I showed them my debit card and said it's a bit damaged so I gave them my id to finish my business . At the end the guy at the front told me "your new card Will arrive in 3/5 business days . I never requested a new card . I told him that and now I couldn't pay my rent online or my other payments because my old card is attached to it , I even spoke to managers and what not and they said that we "assume" clients want to get a new card since the old one is damaged . Fun fact they told me to call customer service to get the card numbers and the chase customer service told me they don't provide it for security reasons . So now I'm stuck with no card on file to pay ..... I know an option is to take out money but it's useless if you have to use a card to pay online for bills that offer no in person money order / cash / drop off .. I'm in a pickle and all they told me was "is there anything else they can do for me ?" I'm very disappointed . Especially when the manager said to me if clients want there information out there if there card is lost let them . I had told her an employee previously tried to deliver a new card but it got lost in the mail . Notice there is a difference between getting a new card bc it's damaged and getting a new card bc someone might have it or it's lost . The turn around on parked cars is extremely fast so it's never a problem finding parking even during lunch hour when it's packed. I would not recommend going to this branch if you are trying to open new accounts. My banker Saad messed up on applying a simple promo code when I opened my Sapphire Checking account, and now I'm running through hoops with Chase trying to rectify his mistake. Seeing as this is the closest Chase to my house I have come here for years, usually when the bank is closed to get money from the ATM's. Well at least that's what I would like to accomplish but seems like that's a tall order. 3 ATM's...one can't give out cash cause why not, that's not what people want from ATM's. Second one touch screen doesn't work so can't get past the pin enter screen. Third one declines the transaction for no reason (and has happened at that specific atm for months). 3 ATM's and can't get cash. Had to go to Albertsons and pay a fee at the atm inside just so I can get MY OWN FREAKING MONEY. Your main purpose as a business is to provide the customers with access to their money (you know, the money you use to invest and profit from), the least you could do is make sure the machines designed to distribute that money actually, you know, work. Embarrassing and possibly the final straw on my long and terrible journey with Chase over the years. read more

So I'm not a big fan of the "big" banks. I prefer to use credit unions. But right now Chase has a new checking account offer that deposits $200 into a new checking account opened up with either a direct deposit, or a minimum account balance of $1,500. Otherwise a $12/month fee will be charged. I set up my new account online with the promo code and needed to visit the actual branch for a temporary check so I can set up my direct deposit. I arrived right at 9am as they opened, so no line. Jonathan was the teller that assisted me and he let me know there was a $2 fee for one sheet of checks. I was fine with it and gave him a bill to deposit into my (so far empty) account, and to deduct the fee for the checks. What he ended up doing though, was turning to his left and asking the manager if she could waive my check fee. And she did! Ok it's only $2, but I really appreciated that simple act without me even asking. That's good customer service. A small gesture like that goes a long way. I was planning on closing this account after 6 months, which is the required account length for the $200 bonus. But I think I'll probably keep this account after all. I have so many other accounts with them already...my mortgage is with Chase, and I've got 2 credit cards with them. The Chase Freedom card is my absolute favorite card to use of allllllll my credit cards. You get cash back, and a nice bonus for new card holders. Plus if you go to your rewards tab and use their travel link to purchase plane tickets, which I just did last week, then you get 4% cash back on that travel purchase. I was even able to use my current cash back rewards points to pay towards that purchase. I love all the features on that card. There are quite a few benefits with this bank...and it's been a while since I had a checking account with them...so giving the big banks another shot:P read more

I can't praise Lulu enough for her outstanding effort while helping me release a hold on a very important check this past week. I had deposited it on Friday and she called me Tuesday morning to indicate that the hold was released. Somehow the system has rescinded the release when I was checking my online banking the following day. I called in pissed, frantic and demanding answers after talking to multiple reps all day in between business meetings. When I finished, I rushed down here to the branch and Lulu really helped me in getting the funds released even after keeping her past 6pm. I went into Chase on April 8th, 2014 to open a business account. I had a bad experience here and that is why I am writing this review, the personal banker Coung Le was the one who helped me open up my account.. The process took over an hour. I don't know if it was because Coung was tired (he kept yawning while he was helping me) or because he was upset at the previous customer he was dealing with (I overheard him arguing on the phone with a customer over the underwriting process). With my luck Coung was the banker to help me. To sum it all up after being at the bank for over an hour, I left thinking OK I'm done with this process. WRONG! I receive a phone call about 20mins later from Coung that he forgot to give me my debit card. Why am I not surprised? I'll tell you why, because I was dealing with a banker that was HALF ASLEEP! In order to avoid going back to the bank I tell Coung to mail me the card. This was April 8th, as of today April 22nd I still do NOT have my debit card. I tried to wire money and couldn't because I did not have my debit card to authenticate my identity and I could not withdraw money because I did not have my debit card. What a lovely mess Coung Le made for me right. I escalated my complaint to their customer service department where I also received the run around when I requested that my account be closed. What I learned from my experience is to stay away from Chase bank and be weary of sleepy bankers. read more

Chase Bank does not care about you in as a customer. Oh sure, they love you as you deposit your money and get that .02 cents a month for having a savings account, but god forbid you become a victim of fraud, they could care less about you. I had someone steal my checkbook and begin writing checks and forging my signature. I called chase and reported this asap. Closed my account, filed a police report, I put a freeze on the credit bureaus, all the crap that is a giant pain in the ass when someone steals our identity. I called chase and explained what happened and I was able to review the check to see that I didn't know the business(upon further review, the business does not exist) and not only was it not my signature, but they spelled both of my names incorrectly. 600 bucks is a large chunk of change, so I was understandably upset. A week later, I received a letter saying it was my fault, i was negligent so they will not refund my money. Last time I checked, it was my tax money that was used for bailout funds.If I knew what other actions I could take, I would. Quick and efficient, the lines get long around 5pm since everyone's rushing over after work but the workers are quite speedy and get you outta there in no time. I like how you can sign in at the front if you need to speak to a banker and right after you put your name down, someone's there already! It's like magic how quick they poof over. The ATMs are conveniently located out front and I've never had an issue with waiting. The parking lot is pretty large too, so I can't imagine parking being a problem. There are two entrances to this parking lot from the main street. One is very small and narrow (like an alleyway) and quite easy to miss if you're not looking. Don't worry, the opening that follows is much wider and gives you a lot more room to maneuver about. read more

I would not recommend Chase as a bank. We had fraud of $2,000 taken out of our Savings account and this whole process with Chase is ridiculous. This branch specifically is very poor in customer service. The last two times I have came her to speak with an associate in their cubicle they take forever to help you. Usually i see people at their desk not getting up to help anyone. The people in the glass case will walk right by you and not even greet you. Unless you are in an absolute bind or need an ATM, I would avoid this branch at all costs. This is not my first negative experience at this branch but I can certainly tell you it will be my last. After paying $8 for the cashiers check (*cashiers checks that until recently were FREE) that is supposedly "insured", I was informed that there was nothing they could or would do for me. I had to wait for 90 days or pay more money if I wanted immediate attention. The employee helping didn't even try to see what more could be done. I explained how dire the situation was & was basically told "Not her problem!". I realize that banking fees are over the heads of anyone who works for any given branch. What I can't understand is why THIS branch is the only branch to nickle & dime their customers? I have never had issues having any fees waved when taking up issues at different branches. Especially when in a bind. Convenience was the ONLY reason I continued to visit this location. Please do yourself a favor and drive an extra couple miles to another Chase location.
