I have been using Chase Cleaners for over 2 years now. It started as convenience due to my proximity to the location- but now they are the only company I trust to clean my clothes right. Here's what I feel they do really well: Pricing is really fair for standard cleanings. I typically come out of the store paying less than $50 unless I'm bringing really large pieces, specialty clothing like leather, or have more than 6 pieces to be cleaned. They are also very timely on service. If you arrive by 9AM (I think) you can drop off your clothes for same day service- but even if you don't make the cutoff time for same day service I can typically get my business clothes back in 24-48 hours. I know they have a third party cleaner for leather - so that will take longer. Bedding took 4-5 days but was well worth the investment for the comforter that I needed cleaned (it had a nice dog smell to it). The only thing I can say they could do better is setting up a website for informations/Q&A. The absence of that is part of why I think writing this review is important for a local business in the neighborhood. I did not expect to be so particular about a dry cleaning place, but here I am traveling for work and deciding that I will just wait to get my suit cleaned between work trips this week and next week just so I can take it to people I trust. My first experience was a pretty disappointing one. I dropped off some sunbrella curtains and some wool blankets to be dry cleaned and they told me they would be ready in a week. I came back two weeks later to find that they had not been cleaned at all, and apparently didn't have the resources to do the cleaning that needed done in the first place. The owner claimed to have called me to notify me, but that was not the case. I asked if they could do anything for me to offset my disappointment so I could hopefully justify using them again in the future and they denied my request. The people at the desk both when I dropped off and when I went to pick up were very polite, but not actually helpful unfortunately. read more

It was $44.52 to get my queen size comforter washed. It came back nice and white and they even put it in a clear plastic bag with handles for me! They were very nice. I dropped it off on a Friday afternoon and picked it up on Thursday so it took four business days. read more

I paid $27 to get a small area rug cleaned and three weeks later brought it back to get cleaned again. When I picked out up they charged me $80. When I asked why it was so expensive they said they changed the prices, apparently without telling anyone. Wtf read more

Terrible from start to finish. I brought in a shirt to be cleaned on a Monday and said I absolutely needed it ready by Friday for a formal event that weekend. They said no problem, it'll be good to go on Wednesday. Came back on Wednesday and they handed it back to me like it was done, but the stain on the collar hadn't even been addressed. I asked if they could get the stain out by Friday and they said sure, leave it here and it'll be ready Friday. Returned Friday afternoon and my shirt wasn't even in the building. Without telling me, they had sent it out of house to try to address the stain and informed me it would be ready Monday. Which meant I had to go buy a new shirt for the event. The only good thing I can say about my experience with this place is that the ladies working the desk in the afternoons were nice people. They were very apologetic about the issue but it wasn't their fault. Whoever does the cleaning doesn't seem to pay attention to details, like stains or pick-up dates. read more

I took some sweaters to Chase cleaners. I was late in picking them up by a couple of months. Which is bad, but they said they called me three different times to remind me to come pick it up. If they called, no one left a message. If they called three times, there was not one message on any of the calls. In this day and age, there are so many phone calls on your cell phone that you have to have a message in order to know who it is. As a result, I was informed that they donated my cleaning to charity. I told the lady I received no message and that it would've been nice if they had left one. The lady there was rude too. I've been a Chase customer for 35 years. No more. read more

The people in the store were very nice and kind. I also got my shirts dry cleaned and they did a great job. The light starch selection was a little less than what I like so I went with medium starch and am very happy. I also got a rip in my brand new puffer polo coat and they took it and sent it off to get repaired and said it would take 1-2 weeks which is pretty average for alteration in my experience. Haven't gotten the coat back yet but I'm sure the quality of the repair will be great. read more

Its important to me to support local businesses, especially neighborhood businesses.... This one is in Chevy Chase, known for its quality service businesses, eventhough higher prices in most cases. I don't mind paying extra to support neighborhood businesses. If you need fast turnaround, don't even consider it... I like heavy starch and I need my stuff back quickly... if they can get it to you in just 3 days, they can't do that unless you pay extra (almost double i.e. $7/shirt) to do it on-site, and can only do regular starch... I will be doing business with a neighborhood cleaner, but not this one... This business does not fit the Chevy Chase reputation.... read more

Website states same day service if you drop off your items by 9AM. Showed up at 8:45 and was told they couldn't do same day on this particular day. Either do what your website says you can do, or change your website. Poor service. read more
